As a professional chef that worked in michelin starred restaurants (before the pandemic), I always recommend to my peers to get Benriner, there are no better and longer lasting slicers in the market. There are "safer" and more newbie friendly slicers in the market like the one you reviewed of course, but if you want a professional slicer it's got to be Benriner.
Idk if they changed how they are made but. Alot of the reviews recently are not great on benriner anymore everything from getting stuck to inconsistent slicing. I actually wanted to get one but now am not sure
I’m a bit late but I just scored one of these for 2$ (same brand) from the thrift store. Thanks for showing the instruction manual as my box had everything except for that!
You are RIGHT! Its the best one. But I wanna add ... to flip triangle blade to waffle and back push knob in first then turn ... and also have julian blades off. there are two sizes of juliannes make sure that knob reads slice horizontally. I JUST LOVE IT. Very well designed. may i suggest you get an air fryer and fry it without oil. air fry 325 f for 20 mins
Thank you. Just ordered THIS exact one to make Philly Cheese Steak . I saw an amazing video that uses this instead of a $300 meat slicer. Just put your meat in the freezer for 3 hours so it's firm, and slice away !
I think he stopped to show how the slicer did. You just push down on the top of the holder and it pushes more of the vegetable out so you can slice the rest of it.
I ordered a gramercy mandolin and it came loose in box with no name on it. I paid a premium price and the instruction paper had no name. Just a two inch. Obviously I got a knock off and I’m pissed about it!!!
looks pretty sketchy.... i want something to make potato chips because the are so expensive now but the deck on that slicer looks so flexible and the slices are thicker than potato chips. I see a lot of these for sale similar style .. think i need to hold out until i find something better. But I'm not paying $100
Awful kitchen implement, for cutting potatoes. Maybe not so bad for other veggies. Dangerous. The operator should have been designed to securely fit the "veggie gripper" onto the track. Otherwise, there is no control as the veggie is pushed down the track and pulled up again. There WILL be bits of black, plastic shavings in your food if wrestling w cutting up tubers like potatoes. In addition, there is much waste. I attempted to impale four or five leftover slices into the veggie gripper, but once the food contacted the blade, there was only chaos. I would pay a little more and get something less problematic.
Omg! People on UA-cam demonstrating stuff they know ZERO about. You don’t have one single clue how to use that. Can’t believe you actually pulled the potato backwards through the cutter. Eyes rolling. Shaking head in disbelief. THINK PEOPLE. Surprise everyone.
What a nice kitchen gadget. I will buy it when I get the stimulus check. Thanks so much for sharing ☺️😃
Sounds good.
I love it!

Okay...how are YOU twisting the large knob so easy? I practically need a wrench to try to turn mine!

Anyone know how to put the blade back in?
Never mind just lined the bottom of the blades up with the arrow that says “out”, and it popped back in.
My adjustable knob wont turn . Its stuck doing julienne carrots can it come apart. 2nd time using it😢
Did you try pushing in the button in the middle of the knob?
Cool vlog great
Thanks for the visit
