Fall of the House of Who: Doctor Who is Broken Beyond Fixing!!

- Doctor Who is currently posting record low ratings. With the latest episode posting the lowest overnights of all time. But it's so easy to see why, we just have to listen to what the people involved in the show have to say to YOU the audience.

I’m so tired of being insulted and called names by actors and creators. It’s not even about they talk about. It’s about bad lore changes, bad writing and a message that’s preachy. It’s funny because if it had a good story and the messaging wasn’t ham fisted people would probably love it. These people want my time, attention and money but hate and insult me relentlessly. Why watch it.
Idk who tf the actor is anyways, he must not be famous in the first place 😂 and is untalented
Don’t watch it then?

I am genuinely okay if they wanted to do their version of a show as a new IP and then put it out there in the world as a separate thing.
The actual way they went about it is so disingenuous and if the situation was reversed and a show runner took for example the Queer as Folk show and changed all the characters sexualities and made everybody straight and made the show about straight people problems "Yes I know straight people problems are just human problems just bear with me" they would lose their minds about how they were being erased and stomped on.
The reality is their concept of catering to a sliver of a fraction of the world's population Will only get them a couple million viewers as they are now seeing and there's no way to sustain that show realistically.
They're taking the wrong message from this reality.
It's not that most of humanity are horrible human beings It's just that your show literally is of no interest to us, It's not what we want to watch. In the same way they may not want to watch a lot of hetero normative "God just typing that is painful" shows we do not look at them as if they are weird or stupid or bigoted, we completely understand that they may have trouble resonating with what we watch so we think it's okay to have different taste and that people can watch whatever they want.
At the end of the day this is a losing business model because it cannot cater to a large enough audience.
That's just the facts and reality and it has absolutely nothing to do with good people or bad people.
If anything as someone else on here said it's about narcissism and being stubborn.
When modern films and shows make Captain Planet seem like a simple kids show, you know you went too far with your message.
We were told not to watch.
We listened.
It's showing our respect for the request.

Turning Doctor Who "queer" for increased representation assumes the character was straight in the first place. He's a frigging alien with two hearts! Nobody gave a sh*t if John Pertwee or Tom Baker's Doctor was gay or straight - the subject never even arose.
Best point ever
I think it rose for like half a line with Sarah Jane with #4, he just dismissed it instantly due to the age difference. With established canon (The Timeless children don't count obviously) he is at LEAST 500 years old. Yeah that pronouns BS would just sound completely idiotic to him.
And given the First (yes, _the first_ ) Doctor's comments in the very first episode about how much more advanced his civilisation was, I always felt the romances in the resuscitated series were like a human falling for a hominid.
Y’all forgetting how the Tardis jerked herself and threw the doctor into the console to make a burn into his face (as a plot point that incorporated his cold sore) so that he wouldn’t make romantic advances on Romana?
Y’all forgetting he has a literal granddaughter…?
Exactly I was just saying to my mum yesterday that back then Morecombe and wise started a sketch asleep in bed together and no one batted an eye the conversation never arose so why do they have to push this crap and literally force people to talk about it.
Well they are but not in the way they hoped.
I am absolutely sick to death of the words 'Diversity' and 'Representation'. If I could go the rest of my life without hearing those two words ever again that would be lovely!
i hate those words too
It's their go-to words when they realise what they made is pure sh!te. If they made quality they wouldn't have the need to use these words.
I think you represent yourself poorly and need more diverse thoughts. uh huh huh huh hu hu Diverse. Beavis is diverse. What does divirsery mean Butthead? eeeehh I think it's like when a baby dies in a nursery or something.
'affirming' has been ruined too.
What does 'diversity' mean to you?

I agree, the show has become evil.
It does not even know how merely to preserve the precious things which others have created, as it turns the treasures over in its hand they are transformed into dirt and dung

AZ what are you talking about, Doctor Who ended years ago. The last Doctor was Peter Capaldi.
I’d say Tennant but only until Matt Smith took over. That first episode with Matt Smith stunk worse than a dead mackerel that had been left out in the sun for a week. Whitakers first one was just cliched and dull. I gave up after having to drink a barrel full of coffee to be able to watch it. Haven’t seen the new one thank god. Capaldi could have been brilliant if the writing wasn’t so abysmal.
Jon pertwee was the best go and watch.
half the capaldi episodes were awful, a couple of multi episode stories just petered out into nothing, and bill said she was gay in every episode totally unecessarily (she was a good character otherwise) . i think the showrunner had just given up by the end..... the high point was missy.

For me, the show ended with the 50th anniversary special. It felt like a proper ending. Remember when Doctor Who got world class character actors to play the Doctor? Now it's just Jodie Whitaker playing Jodie Whitaker and Ncuti Gatwa playing Ncuti Gatwa. These people aren't actors. And it's pretty obvious how both of them got the job. One was friends with the former showrunner and the other one is the current showrunner's boy-toy. I'm pretty sure they classify that as nepotism
You can include Capaldi in that as well though,, the past three drs (not including Tenants second stint) have all been poor choices and not suited to the role. Ncuti can't act, Whittaker has one act and that's Downton Abbey,, and Capaldi also has one act which was Malcolm Tucker. None of them should have been given the role,, the only time it worked giving it to someone who didn't quite fit the box was Eccleston, and it worked because they made it more about a minor reboot and jumping on bridge. Eccleston was fantastic in bringing the character back in a sense of where has he been he looked wartorn.
@@therebel4332 I thought Capaldi did an excellent job portraying the doctor when the episodes werent an absolute bore. Theres about 3 or 4 capaldi episodes which i consider top 10 nuwho, problem is the rest are completely forgettable.
@@Llama_charmer there's bound to be some good episodes out of 40 odd though. Even RTDs second stint with the specials produced ok eps if you look past the "message". Capaldi isn't right for Dr Who,, he's not eccentric and is quite dour personality wise. I got through 5 episodes with his version and gave up and haven't watched since bar two of RTDs specials and that was mainly for Tennant who has since gone down in my book.
@@therebel4332 Peter Capaldi was the best actor who played a New Who Doctor (or maybe any Doctor), and he carried the best episode in Doctor Who history, Heaven Sent, essentially all by himself. And he was also the most suited to the role as it had historically been. He was by far the most like the Classic Who Doctors, including the first one that started everything off William Hartnell. David Tennant wasn't very much like the Doctor had always been but was popular because he was a more standard romantic, appealing leading man that most people were used to.
(And if you think Capaldi was just Malcolm Tucker for his Doctor you must have quit early in his run, missing the majority of his best episodes.)
@@JRRLewis Capaldi was good but it took him awhile to really define his doctor. He grew on me but there's no way he's the best doctor, even nuwho. If he's your favorite, ok. But it's impossible to classify one of the new doctors as "The Best". It's all just personal preference.
If they were serious about doctor who...they would have picked an actual actor to play the role, rather than an activist.
how does that affect the acting?
An actor plays the role for the sake of art, entertainment, expression, exploration of the human condition...in addition, they appreciate/respect the audience's time and attention. An activist is in it for themselves and their ideology...simply put, an activist actor tells you what to think and if you don't agree they yell and whine and throw at hate you.
@@dalevintage Gina Corano was an activist yet you people supported her fully.
@vertigo2894
Corano was an athlete and entertainer, like Riley Gaines, she became an activist because she was attacked by...ignorant and hateful activists. Corano was a victim of hateful ideology, she's fighting against it so, hopefully, others don't have to go through what she did.

To me Doctor has always been a tragic love story. A “man” with god like knowledge and abilities. With a human woman. He loved Rose but he knows she will grow old and die while he will continue on. The doctor is also like the hero in epic tales as much as he loves his women his journey is most important. It’s why the Doctor even when happy feels tragic. That’s why this doctor will never work

Only 10 years ago I considered Doctor Who to be one of my favourite shows of all time and that I imagined I'd end up growing old still watching it. These days I can't bring myself to watch it anymore, crazy how quickly this type of shit can turn a must watch show in my eyes to a show I refuse to watch anymore in such a short amount of time..
Lesson to never take anything for granted, because shit happens.
Yep exactly how I feel about it too 😟❤️
Agree, I grew with Pertwee and Baker and they were fantastic story tellers as the Doctor and had good Female companions the only thing that let it down a bit was the special effects but even going back to Harkness the stories were always there and Doctors had personalities and it was family entertainment. When the modern Dr came with Chris Eccleston I thought wow the special effects had caught up and the story was still good, I thought Chris was the best modern Doctor.
Now with all the Lore being damaged and all this ideological nonsense the show is not fit for purpose and I see either the BBC taking the show off air or selling it to disney, it is a farce now. Remember this was a family show where kids and Mum and Dad could watch together and be entertained now it is a queer lecture with wooden actors with drag and musical thrown in. It is more akin to a woke Pantomime than anything else, kill it now.
Any Dr Who fan of the past could write a better show than Davies, the man is so annoying and dare I say inept. Sad to see the demise of the show but when you alienate its family viewing what do you expect BBC?
I was the same. I now never watch. I sold all my 2005 onward era merchandise. I only have the classic series now as this crap is not Doctor Who. The same thing has happened with Trek and Star Wars and the Marvel films...there is nothing left worth watching. So I stick to older shows. I am currently watching Miami Vice which I skipped in the 80s. And its full of all different races and nations working together on crime cases, and not a single bit of Woke or preaching at all, just great stories and action.....
the same. like I fell in love with it, I researched everything about the classic era, I was a full fledged Whovian. then it was like all these people tended to know everything more than the Doctor which didn't make sense to me.then Clara happened. and then the attitude towards the doctor became very misandristic. I never finished Capaldi's era and I wasn't even going to touch 13's era because i stated from the get go (and I say this AS A WOMAN - the Doctor is a man. and even if you were to make the Doctor a Woman you neeed to be able to write her carefully because she has to act like the previous 12 men before her, and not be seen as a bitch, or "better than" and what do they do? wrote her horrendously. JW didn't even help herself as she didn't even research anything).
but then. Tennant was coming back. and bringing back Donna my favourite companion. So i told myself, okay let's rewatch. let's keep an open mind. Tennant, Tate and RTD should be brilliant. I saw the small clips of Gatwa and i thought okay intriguing, i can deal with this. and then... they just shot it all down brilliantly. the same issues i had with Matt Smith they just... doubled down on it. then they are just so rude telling us to eeff off (Tennant), touch grass (Gatwa) or just don't watch (RTD and Monsoon). So i'm not. I refuse. I"m not going to let Tennant's attitudes NOW ruin what i enjoyed about him THEN. but i refuse to watch anymore Doctor Who. Same w/Current Trek. same with most media. its not worth it.
I "love" how defenders of the series cling to the fact that Gatwa's first episode had more viewers than William Hartnell's back when.
A few small points:
• There were far fewer people in Britain in 1963
• There were fewer sets in use.
• Hartnell's debut was the debut of an unknown new series that might be forgotten within a year. Gatwa was taking over the helm of a national treasure with 60 years of intense fandom built in.
• The original debut episode happened the night after John F. Kennedy had been assassinated. Entertainment viewing generally was depressed.
Hartnell's series more than doubled its viewership within 10 episodes. Good luck on *that* happening here!
I watched the William Hartnell Dr. in 1963. The1st episode it was awesome :-)
You misunderstand, Az, when Ncuti says "keep Doctor Who sacred", he believes that making the show gay _is_ keeping it sacred because gay progressive politics are to him a form of holiness in his gay religion. Having a worse audience then the 1963 version of the show must be one of the worst humiliations in entertainment history. We are talking about a period where Doctor Who was still a new IP, there was no streaming or smartphones, national population was considerably smaller, TVs were a luxury product, was unknown in basically every other country in the world AND STILL got a better performance than a modern day show with basically infinite resources.
I am old enough to have seen the first DW shows in the UK. No one where we lived was rich by any measure but black and white tv's were still in almost every house, they were usually rented but were far from a luxury item.
Remember there were just 2 channels to watch, there wasn't any other in house entertainment so any popular program had no competion and so had huge viewing figures.
For example in 1961, Hancock’s Half Hour was a huge success during its run, with some episodes attracting audiences of over 20 million viewers.
Well actually, no. That's just completely wrong. It's entirely likely that it would never be able to get _anywhere near_ the viewing figures from back then, simply because back then there were only two TV channels! It wasn't uncommon for much less famous shows to get tens of millions of viewers simply because that was all that was available.
You said it yourself, there were no streaming services or smartphone. There also wasn't any cable or Sky TV literally offering hundreds of TV channels. It's actually much harder nowadays for TV shows to get tens of millions of viewers, simply because we have far more choices and far more distractions these days.
By the way, I'm not trying to defend Dr Who or anything, it looks utter shit, but saying that it's humiliating that it can't match viewing figures from TV shows from the 60's is completely disingenuous. When there were only 2 channels available, shows got MASSIVE viewing figures!
@@BadgerOff32 Sorry, I'm not from England. I just used what I knew about this time in my country and others I know and applied the same logic.
@@antonioratto109 Don't apologize. He's completely wrong. In the 1960's, not only were all the conditions you mention prevailing, but you had to be sitting in a particular place at a particular time to see a show. Now they count all the views from anywhere at any time for a week. Not to mention that the global population was also much lower. Proof of concept: only one show from the 1960's is in the top-ten most viewed. The top three are all from the last two years.
@@Mereologist How views are counted is kind of irrelevant because they've _ALWAYS_ been a rough estimate based on what little figures they can obtain.
Even now sites like Netflix are known to inflate their numbers by double based on assumptions that couples will be watching shows together without needing to prove that two people are watching instead of one.
The fact is when people have only two choices, it's much easier to get huge numbers than if those people have hundreds of choices. There may be more people alive now, but they are spread out over a much wider area than in the 60's
I do have a problem with having a black man cast in the role, and indeed with a gay man being cast in the role. Not because I have anything against either of those demographics, but because (as with Jodie Whittaker), the casting was clearly based upon identity politics ideology and nothing else. Also like Jodie Whittaker, the casting is not correct for the character and lore (unrevised) for the character of the Doctor. It doesn't actually bother me if the actor playing the Doctor is gay, but the character of the Doctor is and always has been masculine, even patriarchal.
It saddens me that RTD has not only figuratively, but literally lost the plot when it comes to the casting and writing of Doctor Who, but I expected it more with him than from the likes of Stephen Moffat, who always struck me as being much more grounded. So much for that. So much for them and so much for this show.
What an absolute clusterfuck it's been letting RTD anywhere near Dr Who. He's turned it into a self indulgent steaming pile of narcissistic dogs*it.

In the words of Jon Pertwee (3rd Doctor), i just wanted a grandfatherly figure who'd stared down evil before and could "take the planet under my cape and say 'there now, itll be ok: i'll take care of this'." (Edit: Peter Capaldi COULD HAVE been this!!)
I was halfway ok with young "take me around the universe" Doctor. Even those guys werent the wise warrior scientist granddad.
This though........
We've gone a long way from the actors who could stare into a dalek's eyestalk, and give the same "it's on" look that they had given literal nat-zees a few years earlier.
I liked when Doctor Who was made for British audiences.
I hope that even despite all our flaws...you don't think Americans want shit like this either.
What does that mean?
I haven’t watched a SINGLE episode of the new Doctor Who. The 3 “specials” ruined DW forever. Apathy has hit me so hard that I don’t even watch Tom Baker’s stuff
That's the sad part of these woke versions, they end up tainting the original stuff.
The reality that dr. who fans have been mostly straight male (id say 70%), and there are no new fans to save Dr Who, is probably a hard pill to swallow. No one will say that in public for fear of being cancelled.
So less people watched it in 2024, than they did in the 1963 when there were only a couple of million TV's in the country in total compared to what is available today. Its a joke. Disney got conned. Again.
Knowing Disney they probably demanded that it be at least as 'woke' as it currently is.
Hell my mother had to go visit a family friend to watch TV, that is how few TV's there were, maybe a handful of people in a neighborhood of hundreds would have one.
There were 20 millions tv sets in the UK in 1963
That's a good point. People have been defending the low ratings on this and other flops by saying that there are many more options to distract potential viewers than there were before- but as you say, at the time there weren't that many option with which to watch shows in the first place; plus there are now almost 15 million more people in the UK than there were then.
Disney received the exact product that they paid for.
Population ignorance is the major downfall of people who say stuff like " we will gain 2 or 3 for every 1 we lose" or "we are half the population"........when they are in reality less than 1% or less than 15% of the overall population.
i mean the moment disney get involved, Dr. Who had confirmed to be a failure
Literally an article in our unbiased tax-funded media today: "New Dr Who is black and gay and here's why it's what we deserve". Yeah, wonder why no one is watching this shite.
Common theme:
You tell your customers to not watch, to not buy, then get upset when they do what you say.
It's a common Progressive leftist problem. They whine for something, vote for it and then cry when they get it. It's almost as if they don't think things through.
Because that is their only goal: Getting upset!
R.I.P. Doctor Who. 😢😢
They've done what they always do .
Malformed an element then warped the surroundings to fit it .
Suddenly the comedy shifts to perverted innuendos and " the message " is a white noise that binds the scenes together .
I want a show where these claims about representation are examined. The actors and writers seem convinced there is a huge population wanting to watch them - but where is that audience?
Who would have thought that turning an establish sci-fi series into an emotional gay fantasy would never work
Here’s hoping the Doctor will regenerate into a kickstarted fan-written home-made Time Lord
too late. The only way this can be redeemed is by directly addressing the BS, and berating it with the same fervor.
Where do I sign up.
Chuck Norris style Doctor Who when??
Someone should write a radio script and then let the guys from FNT perform it live, complete with alien voices and sound effects
So back to Jodi then.... 🤣
My lawn is starting to look much greener because I'm working on more. Thank you Disney!
Doctor Who R.I.P 1963-2024 ! It was fun !
The fact that 2 million are still watching it is….. surprising to say the least
Same audience as Drag Race
Some people just can't resist the urge to watch the trainwreck in progress, I guess. (And let's face it, some people will sit and watch a test pattern. 🙄 )
Viewers rubber necking a horrible accident
Essentially, this version of Dr. Who is a complete erasure of the original into homosexual fan fiction and propaganda. It's Dr. Who in name only. There is no story to be written around what they're promoting, as there is no audience for it(including homosexuals, ironically, who don't represent any sizeable portion of any viewing audience), and their ideology. Creativity cannot exist around it. It truly is hardcore degeneracy and propaganda on full display, while attempting to abuse their audience while disabusing them of the original show and themes they became fans of in the first place. Apparently, this use to be a family show with masculine themes and science fiction back in the day. This show is not that now. I repeat, there is no creating around what this is now.
The problem now is the amount of OVER-DIVERSIFICATION.
This is what £100m of Disney money can do to an iconic brit show.
15: OMG! What a pleasure to meet myself! Where are you, then? When are you?
11: Well, right, of course, you're ahead so for you this has all already happened, so, no spoilers? Good. Excellent. You can't be too careful but not to boast, I just solved the whole Impossible Girl mystery of Clara Oswald, then I sorted a Zygon treaty on Earth, then I had a jolly lovely time with the last fellow, and then I rescued Gallifrey from certain doom. Gallifrey Falls, No More, baby! So, what about you? Bear in mind, I mostly won't remember any of this, so have at it!
15: Well... taught the Master to be good, but then he went evil again. So evil that y'know that home you just saved? Afraid it's gone again.
11: I'm sorry, what? Gone? How?
15: The Master, who we failed to turn good, turned all the Time Lords into Cybermen, the scallywag! It was a wild time, honey!
11: No, wait... that's not right. You can't convert a Time Lord, we're incompatible. The dual hearts don't function with the cyber structure. It'd fail. That's why it's almost always humans. That can't be true.
15: Yea. Anyway! We spent half a century in a space jail with Captain Jack, that was fire! We ran about with three or four companions called... umm... I'm struggling to remember, but that's the life! Never stop, too much beautiful universe to see, baby! Oh yes, we also murdered a TARDIS to stop the Daleks. That was so awesome! Oh, and recently we made a boo boo on the edge of the universe and let a pantheon of demented evil gods into our realm. Isn't that amazing?!
11: Sorry. Can we talk about the "Space Jail" for a second?
15: How could I actually forget? Only half the universe got destroyed. Didn't fix it. Found out we aren't actually Time Lords, really. We're adopted, sweetie. We are literal immortal gods from another dimension. We've got infinite regenerations, sweetie! Gallifreyans discovered how to make Time Lords FROM US! Can you believe it?
11: Wait...no. No. I don't believe it. Me and the Ponds accidentally made a Time Lord in the vortex. River? Remember her? She had regenerations and everything. Becoming a Time Lord is all to do with exposure to the vortex and our... GALLIFREYAN genetic make up. And what do you mean infinite regenerations? I don't have infinite regenerations. That's mad. I'm on my last life, so, I assume something nice happens with that if you're knocking about, but right now, I can't regenerate, hell, I needed a robot disguised as me standing on a beach to make it look as if I could but... no definitely can't.
15: Oh ho ho ho no baby! You've got loads of lives you don't even know about. Hundreds!
11: No. I was just in my own timestream with Clara. All of it. She rescued me all across my lives. She even met the one we don't like to talk about. She saw all the people that I used to be. I saw them. There aren't any secret lives. You can't hide part of yourself from the timestream itself. That's nonsense. What are you talking about?
15: We are the Timeless Child, sweetie! Don't know what to tell you! It's all gone so wrong!
11: This is all wrong. This all sounds... horrible. As in, truly, completely, bafflingly awful. What has happened? What happened to you? To us? Why are you so happy if all this has happened? How can you be like this?!
15, in tears but with a deranged smile: I DON'T KNOW. I FIXED MYSELF? YEA, THAT'S IT! I... I DON'T KNOW.
11: Right. Anything else?
15: Just stood on a landmine and called a cleric stupid for having faith. STUPID FAITH, HAH!
11: I remember the clerics. One of them gave their life to help us escape the Angels. Amy and River survived because of that man. I wish I'd known him better. His faith gave him so much courage. I've seen how strong faith can make us, how our belief in stories and each other can make wonders of the world. I haven't thought about him in a long time. He was a good man.
15: A good, stupid man.
11: I don't think I like you. I don't think I want to remember this. I think you're, hold on, wait a minute. You said we're the ones that can do this? Regenerate forever? It's our personal biology that makes it possible, is that what you're saying to me?
15: Like, yeah, honey.
11, gets in close and quiet: That means anyone who shares even a part of our DNA might have this ability buried deep inside. Maybe not so deep. If anyone ever knew, if anyone ever found out, it would make these people targets. Half the universe would try to weaponize them! Well? Are they safe?
15: ... is who safe?
11: Is who sa... INFINITE REGENERATION. Susan? She might be alive. Jenny may have actually survived. The Metacrisis fellow might actually have this in him and that means ROSE WHO'S PROBABLY SNOGGING HIM IS IN DANGER! Good God, if our Ganger survived even he's in danger! Why haven't you warned them?! What have you been doing since you found out?!
15: Honey, we had to work on us for a while. It's all about self-care and smiles now. No drama.
11: Did this self-care happen while half the universe burned and TARDISes were being murdered?
15:
11, turns and runs: SEVEN HELLS! Clara! Start the engines! There's no time to lose! People are in danger!
15: There's no point! You won't remember once you've left! You're putting out terrible vibes, honey?
11: I CAN BLOODY TRY! CLARA, I'M ON MY WAY AND IF YOU SEE A SELF-OBSESSED, HORRIBLY DRESSED PSYCOPATH CALLING HIMSELF ME DON'T BLOODY OPEN THE DOOR!
Absolutely superb!
You don’t fancy being the show runner do you?
Brilliant 🥰
That was brilliant!!! 11 is my favorite Doctor and I can honestly say you got Cunti right bc reading his lines with his voice gave me a headache
Doctor Who has been in decline since the second series of the Matt Smith era. Moffat poisoned the well with his convoluted narratives and "Companions are dead but not really". Chibnall further damaged the brand with his disrespect of the lore and insistence on Jodie Whittaker being cast, and Russel T. Davies, who I used to really love as a storyteller, has killed it with his activism.
Davies was only ever "good" when he was restrained and there were older real life-experienced blokes involved in the writing so there was competition and he had to actually write more than a simple fetish diary about black guys with fleshlight screwdrivers playing doctor.
Yeah that's a pretty good summary of what happened. People seem to forget that Moffat was the one who first introduced the concept of timelords changing gender into canon. He's just as much to blame for this as RTD and Chinballs.
"The Clara Oswald Show, guest-starring The Doctor" didn't help much, either.
(Honestly, I kind of liked Capaldi's 2nd companion, "Bill." *Finally,* a companion who *isn't* mooning over the Doctor, isn't in some messy and complicated relationship, isn't trying to *be* in a relationship with him, isn't some Impossible Mystery Girl who will Save The Universe, who doesn't expect him to try to solve her daddy issues or deal with her crazy family members, or anything else... she's just an ordinary person tossed into this extraordinary situation, off to see the wonders (and terrors) of the universe with the Doctor as her mentor. In a lot of ways, his 3rd season was about as close to being a throwback to the Classic Series as NewWho has ever gotten, and I could've done with a couple more years like it.)
I totally disagree about Moffat, who I think brought a depth and meaningfulness to the Smith/Capaldi era that the mainstream, often silly or simplistic stuff from Davies did not. I hope what Davies is doing now helps to get more people to take the blinkers off their eyes about him, as I don't think he was ever that good. Almost all the best episodes from his era were written by others, usually Stephen Moffat.
@@JRRLewis Well, I have to totally disagree with you; Moffat was all style and no substance. Davies is a competent writer, able to keep character motivations and plot lines firmly in his mind, even if he has now chosen to just preach at us. Moffat, however, while very imaginative and I do like many of his IDEAS, is a messy writer who drops plotlines, forgets character motivations, is constantly trying to reinvent the wheel, routinely undermines his own protagonist with stupid humor or contrivance, and builds up these big confrontations and sets that really go nowhere (aka, bad mystery box writing), and also made the Doctor socially oblivious and the butt of jokes for some reason. He only did a good job UNDER Davies, under someone who could keep him on task. Once he took over, the show started to decline, and you can see it in the ratings; great and steady ratings right up until, as said, Moffat's second season. And now his new episode is out, and it sucks, breaks The Doctor's character, and is preachy, so I guess we can throw him on the pile of has-beens with Davies.
The guy (David Morrissey) who mistakenly gained some of the Doctor's memories and thought **HE** was the doctor, from the 2008 Christmas special "The Next Doctor" was far more of the essence of the Doctor then Ncooty Goatwad could even fantasize of being... I am not impressed in the least and consider him to be dry humping the corpse of the show... Dr. Who ended at Capaldi and that is it.... I will never watch another new episode because I have over 50 years worth of GOOD Dr. Who to enjoy in all it's "cheesy" glory...
3:24 - Look how in love Davis look at him. Surely Ngutti Gtwaa showed him the true meaning of BBC - British Broadcasting Company, surely
This is why I fired Hollywood 4 years ago. And all I watch is shows and movies I grew up with. Also shows that we're around before I was born.
Same here. I also cut out friends and family who fawn over these Hollyweirdos, who also tell them how to vote.
Dr who has been turned into Big Gay Als big gay boat ride.
What could possibly go wrong?
That is rather insulting to Big Gay Al and his boat ride.
big gay al was a pretty good scoutmaster
Dr Ben Dover and his new sidekick Phil McKrackin
It is not about creating it is about destroying what you cherish
If they keep assuming that 'transphobia' is keeping the audience away, then they have a hard road ahead of them.
Just keep ignoring the real problems... hands over ears, "LA LA LA LA LAAA"
The whole "black" thing is absurd.
One of the highest voted fan castings for the Doctor was Idris Elba.
And Richard Ayoade. And David Harwood at one point.
If they had never done the goofy Jodie obvious idiotology insert person he could play it. Maybe a little buff for stereotypical "Doctor" build but he has acting chops and charisma and can actually act like an adult.
It’s just so tiring hearing media preach that straight white men are the enemy. Why can’t the Doctor just be a white UK straight male? That is okay to be!
Idris Elba's name often comes up for popular choice for the next James Bond. Why? Because he's a skilled and charismatic actor who's proven his dramatic and action capabilities
It's not about race. It's about how the actor expresses the role
Ayoade could have been AMAZING if done right! That's is perfect casting.
“Daddy, what does ‘snowmanned’ mean?”
This was a family show until the rainbow perverted it.
What a disgrace.
Don't forget the violin bow fellatio performed by a drag queen episode.
Absolutely agree - this is disgusting, bringing in sexual connotations of any sort. I don't have any idea which perverted person gets off on writing a script like this or watching the result. Dr Who should never be caught up in politics or anything related. It's supposed to be outside of all that.
I used to look forward to the show on Saturday , till halfway through a episode of that woman as the doctor , thats when i just switched off , i don't want to be told about a message .
It will never be on my tv every again , 50 years of the doctor and he is now dead.
Remember folks, There is no such thing as a guaranteed audience, no matter how big your franchise is. Batwoman started with a viewership of nearly two million people, but still managed to dip all the way down to 700k in the first season alone (With an all-time low of 346k) even with the DC brand supporting them. Doctor Who can still coast along on name recognition for now, but eventually those fans they told to fuck off are going to do just that, and no one will come in to replace them.
The last episode had 2.04 million viewers( the lowest ever).. but no worries those 2 to 3 viewers to replace us will soon show up.. LMAO 🤣.
I honestly don't understand why anybody with WI-FI in the UK still pays their TV license?
I don’t.
Socialist state is all about threatening you into conformity. Anyone can just opt out, fill in a form, there's an option that says you own a TV purely for use with a videogame console. But people will wear a mask if the government tells them to. It's mainly the old, they can't bring themselves to admit that they've been played all this time.
YOU HAVE TV LICENSES AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NEVER EVER SAY SHIT ABOUT THE US AGAIN EUROPOOR
My kids like to watch cbeebies before school. That's it. As soon as they grow out of it I'm cancelling
Lol imagine paying for a TV license. Don't you ever insult the US again bugman
I preferred it when all The Dr cared about was saving the universe from The Daleks and The Cybermen.
3:20 I was immediately reminded of a scene from *The Bucket List* with Jack Nicholson: *'Nobody cares what you think.'*
I'm so weary of the word "family" being appropriated and demoted to mean any arbitrary collection of human beings. Management at my workplace have consistently referred to employees collectively as a "family" since 2016 and it drives me crazy. There's a level of intimate association implicit in "family" that I think many progressives are very anxious to destroy in their march toward 1984 and a brave new world.
Also it is a tactic to impose "Oh can you stay back for no pay to help out, because you always help out family" type of BS.
Great for emotional blackmail by bosses.
when progressives use the word "family" they really mean "collective"
"Go touch grass!"
"Don't let the door hit you on the way out!"
You heard they-them people!!!
Do as you told and do NOT watch this show!!!
This is what they-them wants so... 🤷♀
"Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" It seems to be these horrible peoples favorite phrase. I am sick of hearing them utter it.
They are so full of shit.
These practitioners of DEI in all facets of entertainment should heed the smooth-talking words of Barack Hussein Obama: "It's not about me."
Ncunti Gatwick's just a Disney rentboy.
DoctorGay: If you don't like it, leave.
Who's: OK
DoctorGay: Wait, that's illegal?!
He still thinks hes on BBC where people actually cant leave, because they are forced to pay for tv license.

Imagine the casting couch between RTD and this talentless trouser less theoretical actor.
How the mighty IP have fallen.
NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE WHAT WOMEN STOLE AND SOILED.......
It's pretty impressive how Disney has hanged to break their own ankles in such a short time.
When someone is being interviewed, and they use "like" constantly - I automatically tune out to anything they say.
I'm sorry Az, it was broken beyond fixing with the virtue signaling from Jodie Whitaker's stint. This isn't new this is just the death rattle.
It isn't even a death rattle, that would Imply that some portion of it was still intact.... this is the eviscerated corpse that the woke are wearing as a skinsuit as they are capering and twirling to their Danse Macabre...
Do we have a legitimate contender to Batwoman in Nurse What? Let the race to the bottom begin!
Fingers crossed for a cameo by Ocean Man!

Funny, I’m a lesbian who grew up in the 70’s when every gay in film either un-alived themselves or were portrayed as a serial killer. I still found positive role models because I’m not a narcissist and I can identify with people who aren’t exactly like me. Also, who are they to assume all LGB people want to see ourselves represented as insufferable regressive lefties??Oh yeah, I forgot, it’s not about pleasing the audience it’s about using minorities as a human shield to push Collectivism.
Silly me !!
Jody Whitaker says I’ve got the lowest ratings and Doctor Who history, Ncuti Gatwa says, wait! Hold my drinks tiny umbrella. Let me show you how it’s done!
They should have cast Richard Ayaode as the Doctor following Capaldi. It could have been epic.
Oh my god, yes!!! Now I want this so much
Just another reason that I only watch k-dramas. Just recently, shows like Queen of Tears, Lovely Runner, Atypical Family and Frankly speaking are fun to watch, entertaining, well produced and focus on the story and not checking boxes. And - gasp - surprise - as a white American I don't feel unrepresented because the stories are human stories and I am a human. Shocking huh?
I don't only watch KDramas but they are a big percentage of my viewing. I actually think there has been some "Netflixing" of KDramas in recent years...more action/gore and shows that seem like long films, a little less emotionally engaging. Attempting to appeal to more male viewers. Shows like Hellhound, Parasite the Gray and Goodbye Earth.
So you trade a show that lectures you for worthless drivel about idiots hatefully yelling at each other
I fail to see how that can be seen as an improvement
@@jeremyallen5974 But, it IS an improvement.
To any other fans of classic Who...do you find that once you become more and more aware of the problems in new Who, it's hard for you to ever go back and rewatch ANY of it? I enjoyed new Who up to 2016 and although I knew it had some big flaws, the good stuff made up for it. But now I see clips of those old days and all I see is the flaws. The plinky plonky comedy music, the over the top bombastic music, the condescending companions always pouting, tilting their head and frowning. The "we so silly" comedy and ridiculously over the top monologues (either from the Doctor about how awesome he is, or his friends saying how awesome he is, and always using the word "so" over and over again. "You have saved SO many people and changed SO many lives doing SO much good wherever you go.") I can't be alone in this surely? At the time I got caught up in it all, but as a classic Who fan, looking back at 2005-2016 it just all seems so ridiculous now. And that's a hell of a thing to say if you grew up on classic Who. I'm currently watching The Underwater Menace and for all its ridiculousness theres still more depth, quality of acting and escapism than any modern Who.
All this has happened several times throughout history in several empires and countries and the pendulum always swings back with a lot more force. History may not repeat by it sure does rhyme. It’s probably 4 to 6 years away before that pendulum swing back.
Ncuti leaning his head on Russel's shoulder like that reminded me of Michael Jackson's little sleepover boy leaning his head on his shoulder, during that infamous interview.
Almost like the "casting couch" is real.
From RTD to RIP. What a mess. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
If there's anything good to come of this, is that the decimation of these franchises will lead to the creation of studios outside of Hollywierd. They'll bring REAL diversity; different ways of approaching things, different ideas, different genres. A new way of entertainment for the masses, built on the ashes/foundation of the old.
Davies/Gatwa: Don't like it, don't watch.
