Thank you for the AMAZING work that you're doing. I wish more fijians realise the value of this. #MorePowerToYou and your team. I'm positive you'll find the Kulawai. Good luck! ❤🙏🏾
Thanks you Sidanth! Appreciate your nice words! Fingers crossed the Kulawai is still flying somewhere in the dense cloud forests of Fiji, but I am quite positive that it is :)
Its nice to see you are still doing important conservation work Vili, do you remember the video I made of Fiji Birds? maybe you could use that too. Keep well my friend.
@@TomVierus but they were big n in a flock not flying alone but I think to many deforestation n all that had caused them to shift into mountains I don’t believe birds have been extinct in Fiji they are still somewhere in mountain ⛰️ areas

Awesome video! Did the team end up finding the species?
Thank you! As of today, not yet, but the search continues :)
@@TomVierus That is unfortunate. Best of luck in finding it 🙏
In the year 2015 n 2016 I spotted a group of kulawai in Fiji viti levu
That would be pretty epic! Might well be the collared lory though which looks quite similar. Where do you think you have seen them on Viti Levu?
@@TomVierus Lautoka in saweni village I saw them once n once in Nadi
