I’ll never forget my first experience of this performance. I was just mesmerized and overwhelmed by my emotions from the beginning notes. And left still until the end. My eyes were full of tears and heart full of emotions, feeling pain on my chest. Deep regret and pain changed into happiness and relief by the end of the song and i just smiled. He’s voice is a treasure given by God to us. 💜

The man on the piano is the man you are talking about. His name is Igor Krutoy and he composed this "Ave Maria" at Dimash's request.
His highest recorded is D8 . Unforgettable Day Gakku, in front of 150 000 people.....
Dimash is just amazing isn’t he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums kick in. It’s so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of Ave Maria at the request of Dimash.
Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to.
Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians.
He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury.
Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. This song and this performance is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and commanding😱 (I hope it‘s the right word-English is not my native language). There he is such a Beast😳! It’s absolutely stunning. His highest note so far he sang in Gakku’s Unforgettable Day. Dimash wrote this song when he was 16 or 17 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh. This performance was in Kazakhstan (Gakku TV is a Kazakh television channel. I heard there were about 150,000 spectators and the city center had to be completely closed). There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. You don't need to look for this note on the piano, the keys weren't enough for that anymore. Some say the tone isn't exactly pleasing to the ear, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular. Incidentally, Dimash himself said that this was not actually intended. He probably wanted to sing his "normal" G#7, but when he did, no sound came out of his throat. When he started again, the C8 came and then the D8.

Great reaction. The highest note Dimash hits is in "Unforgettable Day" Gakku concert where Dimash hits a C/C#8, holds it for 2 secs and then bends it up to a D8 and holds it for 5 secs with vibrato. Crazy control and a generational talent for sure.

For his highest note so far react to unforgettable day live at gakku for a massive D8, a note not even on the piano, it’s his dolphin note or dog whistle. He wrote this beautiful song when he was a teen but it has to be live at gakku

This is an original composition. The beginning of the piece seems to be an imitation of the sounds from Outer Space that were recorded by NASA, establishing an otherworldly atmosphere. Wow, 68 Ave Maria settings from 7 eras... but now 69! I mean, this song is on the same high level as Schubert's or Vavilov's (Caccini's) Ave Maria... also beyond all spirituality, just wonderful music.

“On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. That is Igor Krutoy the composer who came out of retirement to write/work with Dimash. Not the highest note, he frequently used to go into the 7th octave (whistle note territory) during his performance of Unforgettable Day and his rendition of Diva Dance song. But i think this is the most clean its been and he performs this song at every concert since this premiere.

The highest note hit by Dimash in this performance was an F6 -- the same top note as in the Queen of the Night’s aria in Mozart’s "Die Zauberflöte" -- with no strain evident on his face or neck and fully supported by his entire body. It has been reported that Dimash periodically uses this aria to warm up before his concerts.

Yes, that's Dimash's chief composer, Igor Krutoy. He specifically asked Krutoy to write a new version of "Ave Maria" for him. You can see the awe on his face at finding a singer who can cover the full range of his songs. "Stranger" and "Olimpico" are two other great examples. Also, at the end of Dimash's performance of "Sinful Passion" at New Wave, you can see Krutoy in the audience, giving him a standing ovation.

Dimash does sing quite a bit higher! He does have a whistle register too, so his highest note is actually a couple octaves above his highest note in this performance.
Top pitch wise it isnt even close, (because whistle register) But this is the only song he truly stays in the high range that I can think of

Heh, not even close. In Unforgettable Day in Gakku, he sings a note that's a solid two octaves higher than this... a whistle tone so high it'll have you questioning your sanity. Something went wrong right before it, and his voice cut out on an intended ridiculously high belt, I think, so he went for something even more spectacular to make up for it. It's one of the earliest songs he composed himself, when he was just a boy... I wanna say fourteen, but I don't remember entirely for certain.
