I started a long time ago, but I started taking it seriously this year, mostly with drawing manga and iconic characters from series like hazbin hotel, my hero academia etc.
62 years young and just now trying my hand at drawing. I've done a little acrylic painting the last 2 years. Ready to try this too.... hmmmm Thank you for your help!!
I quit drawing as a teenager because I'd get extremely frustrated by the "imperfections", and I guess one day I just had enough and stopped drawing almost entirely. I'm now 27, I got inspired by PewDiePie's new video and decided to give it a try. I know that I'm not absolutely terrible at it, but it of course doesn't feel good enough. Though, I like to think that ny mind is more mature than what it was about 13 years ago, and I'm now more patient with my shortcomings with drawing. I just found your channel and, based on this video, I think I'm going to watch the rest in your series, too. Today is day 3 since I started. Hopefully I'll last long enough to lose count :)
I realised that drawing practise can happen even if you have only 2 minutes of time! Or even 30 seconds - like when you're waiting for your cup to fill up at the coffee machine. Actually 30 seconds-drawings are a great way of practice. But so are 2 or 5 minute drawings. I have always a (little) sketchpad ready (it's better than a sketchbook for you don't feel you've got to produce ART on just a piece of paper) or even just newpaper or a magazine, and a pencil or fineliner/ballpoint, and then I draw draw draw whenever I am waiting for sth. This has improved my drawing a lot.
I started for a couple months as a kid, did well in mandatory art classes, but struggled with perfectionism. Today at 28, I no longer aim for perfection and instead am devoted to living life for the things that bring me joy, drawing being at the top of the list now. So I’ve been doing a little bit almost every day for a couple months but would still consider myself an absolute beginner as I havnt taken the time to actually learn anything, I’ve just been drawing from reference, getting used to the motion and the eye-mind-hand connection.
I haven’t drawn since I was in my mid-teens. As a kid, I loved drawing superheroes and WW2 fighter aircraft. I then moved on to Star Wars and BattleStar Galactica aircraft. My drawing skills right now are embarrassing but I want to rekindle my love for it.
Wow, very cool. Superheroes were a strong interest of mine as a kid too. I took a hiatus from fine art but rekindled things a few years ago when I found I had more time on my hands. Hope you're able to do the same!
You're a visual representation of the old Batman TV show. POW! BAM! SMACK! Right to the point - no fluff. Perfect.I'm going to enjoy learning from you. Thanks, Your friend "Robin"
"Every sketch shouldn't be a masterpiece. But time spent practicing & developing. Even just 30 min. Waiting at a restaurant, walking in nature, riding public transportation. Still, busy indoor environments with earbuds" Capture those small opportunities "The ultimate goal is to have fun & meaningful to you" Remember your why :)
Ive been drawing since i can remember. But i stopped completely once i entered high school. Just didn't find the time or motivation i guess. Then 2 years ago i dropped out of computer science in college and joined for a degree in graphic design and animation. And since last year ive been drawing everyday. Its going pretty well even though at times I wonder if all this work will pay off at some point. I love to draw but i still haven't figured out what kind of job i want to aim for.
Tysm!! For some reason my drawing is turning worse then better .-. And then I just erase or crumble it Anyways your almost at 2k I think you should have 1 million!❤️❤️💞💞💖💕 And I hope I grow up to draw like you and my other idols 🥺🥺👍👍❣️💖💖❤️
I tend to agree. People who think that everything they do is awesome tend to make garbage. Instead of working on their shortcomings, they're blind to them. Like with anything, though, you can go too far.
This is an issue I have been having. What advice would you give, for someone who really wants to get better, but is currently not having fun/ struggling to practice. I’m struggling to learn to have fun while trying to improve.
Good character design has lots to do with the world you build around your characters. I watched some of your videos, and noticed you have some cool character drawings with very interesting character traits. Keep that up, and continue to think about each character's story: where they come from, their personalities, what made them who they are, etc. For drawing practice, focus on the basics like construction using simple shapes, figure drawing, and faces (especially facial expressions).
Oh no! Did you check to make sure you didn't accidentally unsub or turn off notifications? Others have mentioned they don't get notifications from time to time either. 🤔
everyone who can draw starded as a child. if you know someone who started older, tell me, because i have not met anyone. im starting to believe you cannot draw if you arent a child
❓✍️ What’s your level of experience with drawing ✍️❓

Been drawing 3 years now. First month I learned so much from my teacher and actually my first hour I learned many basics.
