This was fabulous Alex. I really enjoyed hearing more about you. I’ve still got to do this one. It’s a fabulous take and your responses were brilliant and inspiring 😊. Have a fabulous holiday 😊
Cheers Debs 😊 Having a lovely holiday, thanks! Was hoping that you might do this tag at some point, would love to see which questions you go for! Will look forward to seeing you tackle it when you get chance!
Sharks! No hesitation there! This was really wonderful, Alex. Thank you so much for sharing! You shared a lot of really inspiring answers, but your reason for wanting to be able to shapeshift into animals really struck me. It embodies a sense of curiosity and admiration and awe that is just really touching and motivating.
Thanks Lekden! Glad you enjoyed my responses 😊 Fantastic tag, so many wonderful questions I could have answered. In case you’re wondering, I would definitely shape-shift into a shark if I had that power - might finally cure me of my fear 😉
@@alex_unabridged I hadn't even thought about shape-shifting into a shark! That is like the ultimate exposure therapy. Plus you would kind of need to do it if you wanted to shift into any other ocean life and not be worried about them. I grew up outside of Boston, and there is a wonderful aquarium there, (aptly named the New England Aquarium) that I just revisited last year when I was stateside with my teacher and a housemate from here. Their main exhibit is a huge cylindrical tank that spans 3 stories, which you corkscrew your way up and around. It has some beautiful sharks, including a nurse shark that is more than a meter long, and a bunch of smaller sharks too. I don't know if that would be too much for you, but if by any random chance you find yourself in Boston, it is a great visit. (Plus the bottom floor of the main building has a massive rock-hopper penguin exhibit, and they're pretty awesome).
@@arockinsamsara Rock-hopper penguins are indeed awesome. Well, all penguins are really... When I was a student in Hull a massive new aquarium opened there called The Deep, and I went to see if a bit of exposure therapy might help my fear of sharks. Nope. They had a massive bull shark (2 metres long) in their huge tank, which sounds similar to the Boston one, is at least 10 metres deep. I did not care for it. I went with a girl I was dating at the time, who was studying for her PhD in ecology - she loved it. I let her go through all the tunnel walk-ways that went through the tank on her own - no way did I want to see the shark up close, right above me! Too many Jaws 3 flashbacks... 🤣
I love tags where we get to learn more about you ☺ Yes. I can relate with most of my fears being kind of existential fears, of the future (politically, socially, environmentally, stuff like that) where it impacts one´s mental health a lot, but you can´t work through people destroying the planet in therapy, you know.. phew. Sorry about the gym and hospital (and institution-related) non-inclusivity. That sucks. It´s something most cis people never even have to think about. I agree playing is so important!! Anything that I used to love as a child, or would´ve loved, is what really helps me feel more calm. *But* just sitting and thinking, I can´t do that at all. Because it just brings up all of my anxiety; sometimes it´s okay but most of the time I have to have something to distract my brain on, especially when I´m not doing so great. It´s admirable that you can do that, but I´ve never related *less* to you 😄 (p.s. so who did you get your good looks from? 😇)
I do quite enjoy the chance to talk about things outside of my reading! This is a fab tag for that! Dangerous tho, I could have gone on for hours! 😂 Lol, yeah, sitting and thinking used to not be great for my anxiety but I’ve just found a process that works for stopping my thinking time become highjacked by rumination/catastrophising! I have to really consciously think rather than let my mind wander about. That’s why I need time for doing the thinking, it’s quite a focused thing and I’m not often the most focused person! Keep playing! Playtime is a big deal for me, am just a big kid at heart! 😀👍
@alex_unabridged It would have been lovely to listen to you for hours as well :D That's so interesting, I don't think I've ever done that. What do you think about then, what does it look like? (If you have time and energy and the capacity you could tell me on discord!) But again, very impressive, I'm happy for you, that you can fo that! ☺️ I definitely will! 💕
Great video! And we share many similar answers. Although, sadly, you know I love me some sharks. 🦈And speaking of donkeys, I wonder whatever happened to Ben?
Cheers, buddy! Yeah, I know I disappoint you consistently with my shark aversion 😉 But, if it weren’t for you I wouldn’t have discovered the joys of reading sharky stuff, so there’s hope for me yet! 🦈 Ben - I saw a video pop up from him a few weeks ago, but other than that he’s been very quiet. Am hoping that we’ll see a bit more of him - I miss his videos.

This is really cool tag idea. Something that can be completely different per person.
It’s a great tag - so many questions to pick from. Have a crack at it if you’re so inclined! 👍
This is such an amazing and insightful tag. What a great way to get to know our fellow BookTubers!
It's a fantastic tag, glad you enjoyed it! If you've not already been tagged in it and fancy a crack at it yourself, then consider yourself tagged 😉
@alex_unabridged Thanks!
