Thank you Mrs. C! You save me so much time when preparing & I greatly appreciate you doing these videos. This is my second year tutoring & I always recommend you to new tutors also.
I found a couple of "movement" verbs to go with O (Orleans) if you're interested! Ooze to Orleans, orbit to Orleans or overcome Orleans (that one works well with the week's History sentence as Joan of Arc defeated the the English as the Seige of Orleans.
Thanks for posting ideas every week! One idea for History is to do musical chairs. I play the music and when I push stop they sit down and have to continue singing the song. Each round I let them sing a longer portion of the song. Nobody wins or loses but they just love waiting for me to stop the song and it gets them moving. 🙂
Yes I was going to suggest this also. Just did this for the first time with week 4’s song because the song was difficult. It was a lot of fun! I plan to use this often.
One thing I do for history is write bits of the sentence (3-5 words) on index cards, then shuffle and hand them to my masters. While we all sing the song they hold up their portion when we get to it.
Love all your videos they are such a help!! For history with the masters class they seem to like to erase words. After each time we sing through it I let one or two kids come up and erase one or two words (depending on the sentence) then we sing thought it again with the missing words. Around the 5th time through I will drop out with each erased word to see if the kids can get the words or not. They seem to really get into it.
Yes! That is a fun one. I just remembered this week, last year I let them not just erase but replace a word with a silly word and then we had a hilarious sentence by the end.
Heya! I watch your videos every week. :) Where did you find the printable for math (the number 9 with multiplication facts within)? I must be using the wrong search terms because I can't find them! :) Thank you!
Hey! I added them to the FB tutor group and the original creator also added them CCC. Try skip counting poster- I believe that was the name of the files.
Thanks for posting these videos of fun ideas for each week of Foundations! You are my go-to!! I am also having trouble finding the math facts wheel. I tried CCC but turned up no results. I did find the skip counting posters though, which are awesome! Thanks again ;)

Yes! When we had time we would go to our fellowship hall and play since our room was too small. Sometimes they really need to get that energy out!

I can not find your exact multiplication wheel. I like that it has the multiplication symbol in the middle. Any idea where I can find that exact one?
