I actually used this out in the wild the other day when I had to make some channel changes and did a couple things like turn on the busy lock and just zapped them into the my other H3 my buddy was using. Saved me about 5 minutes. Not world changing, but pretty handy.
Actually have a 3rd one here and checked to see if you could clone 2 units at once, works. The transmitting radio gives an error message at the very end maybe because it wants to hear a final success confirmation from the cloned unit and is getting two at once, but didn't seem to make a difference to any of them. All three identical as expected. Probably could clone as many as can hear it.
New GMRS user and licensed, of course, not very much activity in my area. I have this and 2 Baofeng GT-5R units for myself and my family for normal channel 1-22 use if out hiking, etc, as well as other frequencies for emergencies, etc. I have my TDH3 fully programmed, im doubting it, but is there any way to clone it to the GT-5R units? Would be helpful to not have to redo all of that 2 more times haa. Thanks for this video, huge help.
Hey Freddy, I just got a new TD H3 that chirp would not let me use the saved file from my older one because of a version error, so I took a quick look on the Tube of You to find a video on cloning one to the other. My old eyes have a problem with reading, so I looked to you for guidance, man it was better than sliced🍞 I will be sure to mention your videos and recommend the radio at our next club meeting 73's🎙KD9OAM🎧
Great feature but I have one BIG question, what frequency does it use to clone? Is it Bluetooth or an RF Frequency? If it is using RF is it possible to change the frequency if needed?
I made the mistake when using the Bluetooth programming feature and erased all the factory program channels from both of my TH3’s does anyone know if I got a third unit would all 199 channels be cloned?
As a customer I have some suggestions, all radios should come with the manual in Portuguese, I know it can be translated, but it would be better to come in Portuguese, the Odmaster application would have to have the language in Portuguese, the radio should have the language in Portuguese and not just in English and Japanese, they had to make a video explaining all the radio menus, exemplifying each one of them to know how to use and configure...

I will see if I can get an RF capture on the transfer and see if it will give me a frequency.

Bluetooth programming can be VERY tricky
Do all of the Menu settings copy over, too? Or just programming?
