I have similar setup with my ATO - its 25l and I added a very simple solenoid valve to it and plugged it into a wifi plug. My ato now automatically fills every sunday with a scheduled on/off. I have a float valve in container so it cant overfill, i just replaced the manual valve with solenoid. Havent thought about top off in 4 years, minus tds checks and rodi filter changes. Highly recommend
Have you looked at Osmotics for a water container? I think they have some tower tanks. They have a 105 litre tank that is 30cm x 50cm and 75 cm high, or a 60 litre that is 25cm x 35cm and 85 cm high.
Really nice job on the tank Looks very clean Would love to see you do a tally at the end of your next video showing how much the whole system has cost up to that point if you were to buy everything brand new
Great tank. I’ve got the Nyos reactor. Great bit of kit but I seem to get some gfo out through the bottom when I power it off. Not sure if I’m doing it right but there isn’t much to get wrong !!
Very nice series. After watching you since my beginning (and learning a lot), I am happy for you. I am sure this will turn into an awesome reef tank. One question, how is the light spill out of the cabinet? Especially if you run a frack tank in there…
Zero light spill at the moment because I have the sump light very low percentage. But the cabinet lights do give off a feint glow before they turn off. I don't notice it though...
hi tank looks awesome , very flash, those d-d 650 w haters break down after a few months i had a 3 heaters one after the other go down, ended with two eheim 300w very reliable. anyway all the best .
Candle stick holder naw. It’s definitely going to look like Christmas tree 🎄 once you get the little frags on it 😂 I can’t wait to see how it looks grown out should look good!
Love the tank, love the set up - this is my target for an upgrade The one thing that worries me is fitting some equipment in - such as a UV sterilizer. It looks like it would be difficult to get the plumbing hooked up to an adequately sized UV sterilizer here even if you had room in the dry section?
Yeah, all decent wattage UVs are a pain in the arse to install - you could put one where I have the KH Keeper above the sump. But the back wall above the main sump is taken up by plumbing.

@@ReefDork I found a video where TSA did it! ua-cam.com/video/83enRNb9TiA/v-deo.htmlsi=pnUESRg1QJYCDndS Might be useful to some - they accomplished it with hard plumbing and manifolds
Another interesting video on the new tank! Did you seed the rocks to make sure there was no possible phosphate leech, or did you do it to reduce cycling?
1.) this is the exact model that I want for my upgrade someday , so I hope you give us updates 2.) how does the Nyos reactor work? Does it just dribble water over top ?
Great video however just to let you know when listening through my bose headphones the voice over came through the left about 90% and the background music was 90% on the right speaker
Good to see the updates on the tank. I’m thinking about a Nyos reactor so would love a long term review. Have you tried GFO and carbon at the same time and feel it works well with both?
All that Reef Factory stuff makes me nervous and its not even my tank! A review on the Nyos Torq would be great! Regardless the tank looks great! I am very jealous! I'd love to get a bigger tank, the reefer 250 is just right for where I'm living at the moment but will definitely go bigger when I move :-)
Did you use the uk plug adapter for the dj switch? Or did you change all the plugs? I found all my plugs to be fused and impossible to open. Only way to add a new one was to cut the wires.
@@ReefDork i bought a bunch of them from Amazon and they were advertised as 0.5m long. They came and they are tiny cables. Ergh. Still managed to set it up though. I'm just suffering from learning about all the plumbing at the moment, my water is super cloudy still :(
Lets see that NYOS reactor then, please. ☝🏻
Yes Please
Always love your videos
Aqua Print has a cool new Hexlock modular cabinet system. Great stuff, very slim for what you appear to need as well.
Sand is the way.
Thanks for doing these. I recently bought a pro star tank and this has been very helpful on setting it up.

I was using buckets and the ATO was a total game changer
Can’t do a decent tank without one IMO
Yes please for the Nyos Reactor review as im looking at one myself!
Looks sick! Love the aquascape, and the monstera plant is perfect next to the new tank!!!!
Good luck Alex can't wait to see it finished
I have a water box 50 aio. Planning to setup a tank like urs in the future. I’ll use this video as a reference. Amazing content.
Nice one all coming together nicely .

I took my slide out panel off. It takes up a ton of room by itself, so if you don't really want it, you can get some room back which is a pro to me.
Love the updates bro!
Very nice 🙌👌✌️

Looking forward to this

Loving the new tank. Where did you get the coral feeder holder from
Got a time stamp?

Would like a review on the red sea auto top off after you use it for quite some time please
I bought another one about 6 months ago - it's really good but a little noisy
I'm curious about the working process of the contactless heater
Wouldnt 2*300w heaters be better than 1*600w as the chance of both failing at same time is almost zero so it may cool but not go cold
Another interesting video on the new tank! Did you seed the rocks to make sure there was no possible phosphate leech, or did you do it to reduce cycling?
Just for seeding - it might have got rid of some phosphate too but I'd still expect a spike based on my previous experiences...

No, just gfo - I don't find carbon in a reactor makes much difference except that it seems to get to work a couple of hours quicker
@@ReefDork so would be curious if you think the larger duel chamber version is worth it over the single .75 version. Thanks for the reply!

@@ReefDork no I had a load of livestock killed off when their server went down 😞
Can your contactless heater go in your overflow box ( if its going to always be submerged in there?)
Bad place for a heater I think
cover the slide out panel in your old wallpaper. #neverforget

Have you thought about using 2 return pumps? In case one should fail?
I did on my last tank but I don't think it's necessary - it's very rare that a return pump will fail
Are you planning to run a refugium in this tank via a HOB on the tank or sump?
No fuge on this - just a skimmer, filter roller and phosphate reactor
Are you a yachty?
Sailing? No, my dad was though.
