About This Game (from steam)
Welcome to Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2, the most ridiculous and insane battle simulator in existence! Create eye watering battles with hundreds of thousands, and even millions of characters on screen! Sandbox mode will return, with infinite army sizes and far greater flexibility than ever. Command your armies in RTS mode with full drag select army control, or get the job done yourself and play as any one of the units in 3rd or 1st person. In coming updates for early access, jump into multiple story and player driven campaigns or make your own and share them with your friends! FPS invasion will also be returning soon, where you play through the eyes of a soldier fighting off hordes of zombies in first person.
Lets not ignore the elephant in the room! UEBS2 features revolutionary new crowd rendering and AI technology which uses pure GPU POWER to bring nation size battles to life! Witness the first game to fully utilize full GPU acceleration for every AI individual and all the technology behind the crowd tech. UEBS2 handles 100 times more characters on screen than its predecessor, and in far greater detail and quality. Details were not ignored, every individual has highly advanced decision making and animation, all while working together for a greater goal. We are also working on our own 'mass' GPU physics engine. Our hope is to bring physics to a scale never before seen, which may allow thousands of ragdolls, and millions of physics based objects. Keep in mind, our physics engine is in very early development so we can't make any guarantees.

FAQ:
Q: This isn't lore accurate; they would never (insert problem here).
A: Yes, you are probably right. This game was never designed for Warhammer units, and the game offers little in mod tools to help us make it accurate. What it does allow us to do for the first time is to have a sense of the scale of Warhammer battles and just how big and chaotic the battlefields would be!
Q: Why are there no lasers? Why can't we see the special attacks?
A: The game only has a few ammunition types. As the game has nothing to do with Warhammer, none of the ammo types such as lasers are in the game, so you will have to just imagine they are there :)
Q: Why do attacking armies never/rarely get ranged units?
A: Because of how the game's AI works. The defenders will often shoot the closest units to them; often that will be a melee unit. This allows the attacking ranged units to fire upon the defenders without taking any fire in return. The result of this is that the defenders die extremely fast and any static defence is overrun almost instantly.
Q: Why don't you put the defenders on Guard then?
A: The AI in the game will make the defenders slowly run backwards if they are a ranged unit, trying to get away from the attacking army, resulting in the defenders abandoning their positions. The armies then split into mini armies as they try to chase each other all over the map.
Q: Where can I get these mods? I don't see them anywhere!?
A: I paid someone to make the mods for me and add them to the game. Unfortunately, they are not in a publishable format, and so I cannot upload them to the Steam Workshop. Therefore, it's unlikely, unless other modders make the units, that you will be able to have access to them.
This is how I imagine every regular warhammer 40k battle goes. Just piles of dead body over each other lying on a pool of blood. I don't even play warhammer games, just watch their lores on youtube.

Just like the early art in 1st 2nd and 3rd edition with the hugely detailed epic battlefield art.
The ghazkhull audio book is ridiculously good, and the descriptions of the battle for Armageddon paint a very nice picture of how a long running battlefield in 40k looks.

Oddly this reminded me of the Battle of Cannae.
When Hannibal took on the Roman horde the sheer weight of numbers caused the Carthaginian centre to buckle whilst the flanks held firm. Similar situation with the Orks as that was where the main weight of their numbers were. Even despite the T'au lines being strengthened by Kroot mercs (coincidentally it was mostly mercenaries that held Hannibal's centre as well).
But like at Cannae the flanks were where victory was made, manifesting as a crossfire instead of an envelopment due to the T'au using guns.
Imagine how much more gruesome it would be with the Orks using firearms and cannons
well if you gave mechs to orks then the tau would bring out some of their own mechs
Give the Orks some WW2 tanks or Imperium tanks, especially if there's no infantry shoota boyz.
@bartomolev6682 the tau had tanks, works should have had a few killer kanz sprinkled through their army to absorb more damage and close the gap a little faster.

A general rule of thumb. If you can see the Tau, they're losing. They have such advanced and long rangwd weaponry that ideally they will be firing upon their foes from miles away and never be in danger.
Not always. I play more a strike force than a gun line
Yeah Tau are ment to work more like a modern military of smaller teams, they are more primarily for moderate ranges and yes tau storm and go In to melee look at breachers
@@declandagod5450 I only use battle suits in my army.
@CaptainSkylocke fusion blasters are a close combat weapon, stealth suits are made to get behind enemy lines and be up close and a battle suit only army is not the best way to play tau on table you realt should get some infantry for objectives and a hammerhead or 2.
@@declandagod5450 I don't care what the best way to play is. I play armies that I like. I love themed armies. It's much more fun than everyone having the same army. I like a blend of close assault and long range. A boring gunline isn't the only way to play Tau.

Your commentary reminds of Craig Charles doing Takeshi's Castle and football commentators. It's good. Lol.
I think the center fell first for two major reasons. One a lot of the elite orc units like the Storm boys seemed focused on the center, and two I think some of them drowned. All the blood basically flowed to the center and while some of it provided a barrier for the orcs to cross, the center most wedge was at the lowest elevation.

the shape of the tau defence really helped. Being U shaped, the ai focuses on the closest enemy, so the orks would send less troops to the flanks
Reminder, when your big, bad equipment is a mech, or mech suit, don't forget where you left the keys!

the Tau tanks really needed to use their railguns from the beginning. it didnt appear that they were.

The center had bigger breakthroughs due to poor coverage in fire. Also keep in mind that is only like a quarter of tau standard fire power mixes. There aren't mini gun drones, battle suits, and siege suits.
40K: the setting where everybody has forgotten how clusterbombs work.
When the terrain causes your center defense line to drown in your enemys blood.
Do you know what's the scariest about the Tau in this battle ? I'm pretty sure the center line collapsed because they literally drowned in blood.

This is how Warhammer battles should be portrayed, as messy as it is and imperfectly as it translates to actual gameplay. That being said, this is why a total war Warhammer 40k game will not be able to truly encapsulate the world. Their battles number in the thousands at most. It’d only be small skirmishes.

This is crazy and i love it. I will say that its too bad the game doesnt know how to use the Stormboyz properly, I'd be interested to see how them actually being able to use that back rocket to close the gap would affect the battle.
The T'au not running away like the cowards they are was the biggest surprise 😅

The only thing that still really bugs me about this game is range units being able to shoot trough their allies. If only there was a way to fix that.

I paid a guy to make a load of mods for me but there not in a sharable format, there are other youtubers who make you pay for mods which is kinda scummy but it is what it is

Yeah that's the thing with light and lasers. You would never see the shot. Realising that Lasguns would never shoot red lasers is a sad thing... the lasers would be invisible...
