People hate him because he claims he doesn't do it for the money but every two seconds he's begging for superchats on his live streams. He then freaks out if there hasn't been a donation every two minutes. This has been going on for years. Not just recently.
He saw it as a way to make money and gain influence. Once his channel started getting serious views he thought he could coast on it for the rest of his life. He’s immature and that’s why you see him raging. I’d say in all my years of watching asmr he’s truly one of a kind in that sense.

The problem with GhettoASMR is his inability to take constructive criticism, nearly a year ago on one of his streams I tried to tell him as respectfully as I could that upgrading his set up and camera and thumbnail creation abilities would help tremendously in growing his channel. He saw my comment, swiftly deleted it and called me something along the lines of “you’re a fucking idiot, my videos are top quality” or some thing like that. He just won’t take it even if someone clearly means it in a constructive way.

We transmit to the outside what we have on the inside, and all that rage is coming from somewhere. This is of course no excuse for his behaviour, but I really don't think we should fight rage/violence with even more violence, and maybe some kindness could even change someone's life in ways we could never expect. Seeing his reactions makes me honestly sad and I hope he finds peace someday.

Wonderful video. I was the “kate” mentioned at the end and i witnessed the live stream. I had the upmost respect for him and felt the same way as jojo, i feel bad for him. I wanted his channel to grow and i wanted his numbers to go up, but i was just in his live stream and commented to not focus so much on the trolls for the stream (because he was talking about trolls so much) and he responded “kate how about you drop me a dono it’s been awhile” (referred to when i donated 10$ which was a lot for me at the time). Im really sad, i hope he gets better

His only source of income is youtube, and donations being a big part of it, only way to gain money from youtube is from every 2 mil views, ads not being skipped, or donations. And he can't get a job do to the pandemic, and all the trolls getting his hopes up over time has caused him to snap. Theres really nothing you can blame him for.

As someone who was a dedicated follower and view of Dorian (or ghetto), after 3 years what tipped the iceberg for me was his toxic behavior online. Many times like others in the community we kept up to see how he was mentally stressing, but the avid need to indulge in trolls and basically pull a DragonLord, made someone like myself disinterested and utterly confounded to why anyone else would want to keep up. At many times it felt like a sinking ship that those that those who cared most just kept trying to save. I do think there's been tons of stress from the shit Dorian's been receiving, but his avid response to have reliance on equal toxicity to deal with it never helped his case. As a former dedicated fan, I at some point became worried for his declining mental health like many others. Many in the community would try to help, but he would just act as if they were "trolls" and nothing more. Even in personal interactions I myself had disclosed my concerns where he would respond and assume my intent of ill intent calling me a "troll that should unsub". With sincerity I do hope Dorian finds the help he needs. Social media can be toxic, and how one perceives it when faced with an amounted following doesn't help it by any stretch. Likewise, awesome analysis Jojo. It really does frame everything in ways even I struggled to put together after years of watching him.

I used to watch Ghetto literally nightly. He was my favorite asmrtist. He had the best tapping around. A great beat and it was fast and tingly. However, two things stopped me from watching his channel unfortunately. 1. The constant trolls attending the live streams. They'd make fun of both ghetto and his supporters. I'd be made fun of just for having an anime icon for example by these chat trolls. 2. Ghetto's mood swings messed with the good vibes that an asmr channel should have. I sympathise with him though because the trolls on his channel are terrible. Still, Id suggest he takes a lot of your valid criticisms to heart, Jojo. I'd like to see Ghetto make a good comeback.

The problem with GhettoASMR is his inability to take constructive criticism, nearly a year ago on one of his streams I tried to tell him as respectfully as I could that upgrading his set up and camera and thumbnail creation abilities would help tremendously in growing his channel. He saw my comment, swiftly deleted it and called me something along the lines of “you’re a fucking idiot, my videos are top quality” or some thing like that. He just won’t take it even if someone clearly means it in a constructive way.

Wonderful video. I was the “kate” mentioned at the end and i witnessed the live stream. I had the upmost respect for him and felt the same way as jojo, i feel bad for him. I wanted his channel to grow and i wanted his numbers to go up, but i was just in his live stream and commented to not focus so much on the trolls for the stream (because he was talking about trolls so much) and he responded “kate how about you drop me a dono it’s been awhile” (referred to when i donated 10$ which was a lot for me at the time). As someone who was a dedicated follower and view of Dorian (or ghetto), after 3 years what tipped the iceberg for me was his toxic behavior online. Many times like others in the community we kept up to see how he was mentally stressing, but the avid need to indulge in trolls and basically pull a DragonLord, made someone like myself disinterested and utterly confounded to why anyone else would want to keep up.
At many times it felt like a sinking ship that those that those who cared most just kept trying to save. I do think there's been tons of stress from the shit Dorian's been receiving, but his avid response to have reliance on equal toxicity to deal with it never helped his case.
As a former dedicated fan, I at some point became worried for his declining mental health like many others. Many in the community would try to help, but he would just act as if they were "trolls" and nothing more. Even in personal interactions I myself had disclosed my concerns where he would respond and assume my intent of ill intent calling me a "troll that should unsub".

I’m glad you took this so maturely jojo. Thank you for taking into consideration about what he may be going through. It doesn’t justify his behavior at all but you do have to feel sorry for people like that.
I haven’t watched Ghetto in so long and needless to say I’m disappointed but not surprised. He always gave me this weird vibe, so his rage fits him. Such a shame because he’s really good when he’s not bashing everyone. Dude really needs some therapy, I’m concerned for his mental health.

There are so many great ASMR channels that don’t require anyone to ignore the sick and disgusting things that have been said. He needs to take accountability for all he has said and done. His channel falling off should give him plenty of time to seek the help he truly needs. I unsubscribed about 2 years ago. It’s sad he’s still doing the same thing in front of his viewers (which includes kids/teens). I don’t wish no man bad in life, so I hope he can catch his rebound and try something different.
I used to watch his love streams and my friend and i would facetime cause we found it interesting when he would curse everyone out. I even tried to donate once to say “hey do u ming not cursing so much my little sister watches your videos” but i didnt have any money my friend snd i r only 14 each and this didnt bother us at all but it is annoying when he does this.
there was a guy at my school who battled through depression for the longest time and resorted to martial arts and body building as a coping mechanism, until one day he grew cocky and attacked somebody who was bantering him only to get shot and killed. rest in peace, Preston, but i don't have much to say in support of your actions

I used to watch Ghetto literally nightly. He was my favorite asmrtist. He had the best tapping around. A great beat and it was fast and tingly. However, two things stopped me from watching his channel unfortunately.
1. The constant trolls attending the live streams. They'd make fun of both ghetto and his supporters. I'd be made fun of just for having an anime icon for example by these chat trolls.
2. Ghetto's mood swings messed with the good vibes that an asmr channel should have. I sympathise with him though because the trolls on his channel are terrible. Still, Id suggest he takes a lot of your valid criticisms to heart, Jojo. I'd like to see Ghetto make a good comeback.

Used to play with ghetto asmr in a game called battle grounds 3. He rage quit our clan and was blaming the other groups for all the dislikes on his channel. Has became a meme status in a few clans after I showed them his rages which is stumbled across. He used to be a sound guy too
honestly .. just wow .. this man is literally wishing death upon strangers/fans and another creator while still doing asmr. i’m completely astonished by how deep his rage and sadness goes. holy freaking cannoli. props to jojo for staying composed and incredibly mature about this ordeal.
