In fact, Japanese are also very popular in Southeast Asia. Because Japanese people are polite and never cause trouble to others. In addition, Japanese companies have invested heavily in Southeast Asian countries, and the treatment and benefits provided to the country's citizens are very good. So everyone likes Japanese people.

From what I know, my Japanese friends who are staying and working in Malaysia is because of a few main factors - not just for Japanese women but Japanes men and family.
    1. Work life balance is way way way better than Japan
    2. Cost of living cheaper than Japan
    3. You can actually take leave and go on holiday
    4. Everyone is friendly and open minded
    5. Variety of food
    6. Diverse cultural and religion
The only thing is SAFETY ISSUES in Malaysia during night time especially for women. Safety issues is still a big concern among ladies - especially single ladies (including taking GRAB and taxis). If Malaysia crime rate is as low as Japan, I can tell you there will be more ladies migrating to this country but sadly that's not the case. There are some psycho GRAB and taxis drivers always like to have conversation when a single lady taking a ride.
Some ladies are so scared, they don't stop in front of their house as I have heard some of these drivers are stalkers.

MALAY-sia is a joke of a country. Why don't you talk about the low salary, weak currency, dirty public toilets, unhygienic kopitiam culture, casual spitting, littering, extremely hot, humid weather, media censorship. It's like a Islamic State x Communism.

You’re right but many Malaysians keep denying this by saying “Malaysia is safe..just be careful of this be careful of that” I mean one has to be carful constantly then it is NOT safe right?😅 Sad to hear what happened to the Japanese women mentioned by someone above. I wonder how many cases like this had happened. This thing is there’re many cases being unreported. UA-camrs will say nice thing about places to get viewers..especially in Malaysia. As long as u say nice things you’ll get lots of views I hear cos 99% of your viewers are Malaysians.

Malaysia is indeed a unique country. I have a few foreign friends including japanese living in Malaysia and they all seem to enjoy the experience. Although Malaysia is considered one of the safer countries in Asia, but please always becareful because Malaysia is not COMPLETELY safe and our crime rate is certainly not the lowest. But other than that, Malaysia is pretty awesome. We got nice cities, interesting tourist spots, friendly people, rich flora and fauna, and most importantly amazing food! I work in a japanese company that has offices in Malaysia/ Singapore. I am based in Singapore but i work with my counterparts in Malaysia. The laid back culture is definitely true and some of it has definitely rubbed of on my Japanese colleagues as well. I can clearly see and feel that they are way happier working in Singapore/Malaysia than in Japan. I have had many cases where my Japanese secondees do not want to go back to Japan at all. They will desperately find assignments or projects just so they can stay in Singapore/Malaysia. A number have also applied for permanent residency as well. I see this prevalent in more of the older and more senior folk. I also see a distinct difference between my Japanese colleagues who studied and worked only in Japan vs those who have studied abroad and worked overseas before. Those who have studied and worked abroad are way more laid back.

Domo arigato for such a cute and insightful video. Always been a big fan. Regarding the working culture, Japanese are known for their disciplinary at office. In the early days after our independence, Malaysians do have similar work culture but over the generations, things have changed as we embraced the "work-life balance". The aim is to look at the end result or quality of the work rather than how much time or long hours you put in.

What Malaysians have achieved today was all from the hard times we went through and each of us wanted a better Malaysia for everybody. Still we got a lot to improve and we're far from perfect. Even about the safety issue mentioned by Saki-chan. There are cases of women getting groped by strangers in public, women getting sexually assaulted or women getting murdered due to jealousy. So never let your guard down even if you feel safe in foreign countries.

Malaysians can be incredibly judgemental even when it's none of their damn business.
You read in the news about many controversies involving so called inappropriate clothing worn by others. This happens very frequently.

Sexual harassment is not a victim fault. Its not because you wear a sexy clothes or something. If you wear a sexy clothes, doesn't mean they have a right to touch you. People need to stop victim blaming

To me, Japanese Woman is the most beautiful especially in East & South East Asia. They are very beautiful from inside out. They have "Ayu" ness in thier personality which is rare for chinese and korean woman.

I once worked with a Japanese subsidiary company in Malaysia Sxny for short period of time. I still remember all staffs have to be in office at 8am and start work. Even if not busy no one will walk to another colleagues desk and chit chat. The environment is so quiet till you can hear a mosquitos flying noise in an open environment with 30 work desks. I can't imagine my life there and I quit within 3 months.
I moved on to a US based company in Malaysia. Working hour start from 830am but most staffs came in office before 9am. After arriving office and switching on the computer then we will go pantry for tea break. Lunch time suppose 1 hour but we usually took 1 and half. Life is totally different compared to Japanese culture company.

I know lah the japanese in my condo, they get up at 7am to be at work in time. And driver brings him home at 10pm every night. Just time at home to shower and sleep then go back to work. US company, yes they eat out at lunch so much and eat or drink more in office, is why the US are so fat and unhealthy and die 12 years younger than average person in hong kong & china which is much healthier

That's normal for people who came from a country that has four seasons preferred the weather in Malaysia. I personally prefer the four seasons like winter season. I can even swim at morning 7AM in Genting... lol
I work in Japanese corporate for almost 10 years, starting work 8AM and I start breakfast at 8AM until 9AM, work until 11:30AM, then head out for lunch until 2PM, continue to work until 4:30PM then prepared going back. Of course during those work time excluded the moment I chitchat with colleagues. I think the most important thing is, happy with your work and productivity with good result. Most Malaysian bosses preferred results than how is the progress.

    Happy birthday Aya-san : D.
Haahaa! Well mostly because everyone either wake up late, or traffic jam or rushing for bus and train. We often priotize by reaching office on time then breakfast comes 2nd. It's a bad habit, so don't follow us. 😅
Definitely, there are lesser pervert in Malaysia, but still need to be careful especially to those " a minute fall asleep pretender " perverts next to you when commute in train & bus and some strangers (men & women) suddenly approach you and start talking to you and oddly behaving "overly too friendly".

It depends on the company. Some companies will let you eat at whenever you want even if you get the job done.
Some are more strict but even then, it is far more relaxing than many other countries.
