- Peebs goes over the games he's been wrong about over the years!
There's obvious things like The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Wii / Nintendo Gamecube, but there's also some Super Mario and Animal Crossing games I've been wrong about. There's some things you'd probably not expect like Left 4 Dead 2? Castlevania for the GBA + Nintendo DS? Then a couple BIG ones, Mysims and... Nintendo Switch Sports?? Didn't we just go over this on the games I regret buying video?? We'll talk about it.

I gotta take a couple L's in this video... What games were YOU wrong about? (Or what other games to you think *I* was wrong about?)
Thanks for watching!
Let's go new video
I’m gonna leave this here and edit once I finish the video
Im early 2 minutes and your welcome :d
Are you gonna get the My Sims Cozy Bundle?
Hmmm...
hearing the phrase "you might not know i had a channel called peanut butter gamer" made me feel ANCIENT 😭
YEAH, most people probably do? But we’ve gotten so many new subs so it’s hard to say what % of people know about my og channel at this point, lol.
yeah having been watching since like 2011 it makes me feel way older than I should lol...
Same 😂😂😂
Wait, HAD?! AS IN PAST TENSE?!?!
@@ThisIsCSDXRIGHT?!
Anyone remember EESDESESESRD from MySims Kingdom and EESDESESESR from Agents?
How could I ever forget?
Never forget EESDESESESRDT from Hubert the teddy bear
It would be impossible to forget them
@@scooterwearssocks That was one of the best
No joke, city folk is so underrated. I miss the gracie store because it was always such a cool end goal for you to own all of the pieces.
Honestly i miss the atmosphere of old animal crossing. As much I like acnh, it feels like old games had more personality
NL still feels like the perfect middle ground between them for me, especially with how much there is to do. City Folk seemed so expansive though back in the day compared to the original and wild world. The music, sounds and graphics of the older games do make my heart flutter though haha
City Folk really is amazing and I'll always stand by that. One thing I miss from that is how many mini events they had occur each month and it'd always feel special like the Meteor Showers and Flea Markets. I remember as a kid calling my cousins on my parents' phones to get them to come over for those events, really hope that charm and overall feel comes back from the older games and even New Leaf
@@enemystand2981 My Switch currently needs a new battery so I haven't been using it, which means I've been focusing more on my 3DS. I'm very tempted to go back to New Leaf- I think it's been a good five or six years since I last played it though ^^;
I feel bad when I see older Animal Crossing fans talk about AC because I really like the aesthetic of New Horizons the best, especially the fact that your person isn't some ugly, squat little thing. (I was always disappointed that you played as a human in Animal Crossing, but NH was the first time I totally didn't mind it.)
I'm all for stuff like villagers having more personality like the old games, and having more buildings to upgrade, but I think New Horizons has such a nice aesthetic!
@@mastermarkus5307 I feel NH sacrificed WAY too much to achieve said aesthetic though...Holiday events, a considerable number of sets of furniture, special characters, interesting dialog options. I liked NH enough, i was just kinda hoping it wasn't all gonna be about how pretty your island is...
My Sims is such a deep cut. I remember the days of Mr Smiley, Butt Rocket, and Riding Dirty, so when I saw My Sims in the thumbnail of a video titled "games i was WRONG ABOUT" I had to click. Can't wait to see you dig this game up from your backyard LMAO (unless you buy a new one i guess lol)
Edit: oh it was just buried in a forest, thats right lol
Fsr i remember it being buried in your backyard

There IS a remaster coming out for the switch. it'll be packaged with mysims kingdom.
A forest he's moved far away from, tooo.
The MySims DS games are forgotten about. For some reason they’re very different compared to the Wii versions. I grew up with them and loved them. I remember watching PBG’s original videos about them and being shocked about just how different they were.
The DS versions were made by a Japanese developer team. The original MySims is more about customizing your character, arranging your house, and doing minigames for the villagers in order to develop a town. It’s really cute and I replay it once every few years, along with MySims Kingdom (DS) and MySims Agents (DS)
My sims agents ds is one of my favorite games ever as a kid 😅 I just remember just walking around not knowing what to do and rearranging my house
I'm just now finding out that these games weren't ds exclusive
I own Agents DS but never bothered to play it. I gotta figure out where I put it and finally give it a try!
I _tried_ getting into Agents (DS). The boat mini game was my only 'real' complaint. The rest of it was... charming.
even as a big defender of the original MySims... yes, Kingdom and Agents were the ones that you needed to apologize for. that is correct. objectively speaking, those are the best ones.
I didn’t play the OG MySims but Kingdom and Agents were both my absolute childhood
i would even argue MySims Agents is one of the top sims games, honestly
i personally played the OG one the most bc it felt like the most open ended sandbox style game (after i “beat” it, i just started building random crap all day and constantly rearranging and redoing my town) but i definitely have fonder memories of Kingdom and Agents
the idea of someone like digging in the forest one day and just discovering a copy of mysims for the wii is unbelievably funny holy shit
Your pulling up of the color wheel when talking about Twilight Princess has been engrained in my memory since 2011.
I was definitely wrong about halo reach. When it came out i didnt like how they brough back health packs and i hated the new style of the enemies but now playing it i see its a masterpiece
This guy has literally not aged a day in the past ten years.
I Love Fortune Street and I have a funny story. For my high school senior year, I had an economics class. I thought of our final school day to have the class split into teams to play it. The teacher loved the idea, so I bought it and played through the single player to unlock everything. Unfortunately, one problem came up...
I graduated in 2020. :(
P.S. the game's still great tho
I was wrong about Skyward Sword. Hated it back on the Wii, but flashforward to Skyward Sword HD and yeah... the light finally shone through. I went from hating Skyward Sword, to respecting it 💙
TBF they fixed quite a few of the og's issues in the HD version, made it way more playable
I loved when you played Fortune Street with Luke. I do hope you convince people to play it with you again, it’s honestly pretty sick
Your PB and Jeff playthrough is the reason why I bought Fortune Street. I'm also not able to find anyone to play with 😔
Peebs, I'll be honest... I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY PLAY FORTUNE STREET WITH YOU IF I COULD! Like, I had that game back in the day and had no friends to play with. I love Fortune Street.
Twlight princess will always be my favorite zelda game always my top 3 it's number one on my list
Me as well! I would say it’s honestly my number 1 game just for how nostalgic and different it was compared to other Zelda games! Midna was just the best companion imo to have in any Zelda game and the ending ofc 🥹
I've never played the original mysims but I've played mysims kingdom and I loved that game as a kid, seeing it on the direct filled me with nostalgia lmao i completely forgot about it
the my sims games were my childhood. I've gone back and looked at the profiles and I somehow accomplished nothing.
Wish they would make another Fortune Street game!! Would be awesome on Switch.
For My Sims, there's a minimap to make up for the camera. Those 3 My Sims games are a tie for me.
Magician’s Quest Mysterious Times! I saw your video with that in it back in college and IMMEDIATELY wanted it! It was way too expensive though, so I forgot all about it. Man though, maybe I’ll look into grabbing it again.
I loved that game, but I barely played it but I still love it.
I managed to snag a copy about a year and a half ago because it was a game I always wanted as a kid, just almost impossible to come by even then.
The game is still very expensive today if you buy on Ebay, and while I had a hard time learning all of the funky mechanics, I enjoy it and feel it was wellworth the investment. If you have a modified DS model or emulator as Peebs mentioned in the video, that's a much more budget friendly option. Mind you a lot of those websites that have those files have been taken down in recent years.
@@FarewellToHoomanitee Ooo, gotcha! Thanks a bunch for the advice! In that case, I’ll go yohohoing and see if I can find it online.
Now here’s the thing for the MySims building at least, it’s also on pc, I’ve played both, and the building is sooo much better on pc, it is insane!
Love Fortune Street (and 100% Orange Juice), I wish there were more Itadaki Street games available
I hope if the MySims bundle does well, we'll get an action bundle with Agents/Racing and maybe Sky Heroes
Idk, I’m still a bit upset that the beloved miis from Wii Sports were replaced by less interesting character models in the Switch Sports
For MySims, I only ever played the DS version and I replayed it multiple times. I remember watching your video hating on MySims and thinking to myself about how much better the DS version was than what you described. I would love for you to give that version a chance a some point.
The MySims DS versions are quite different from the Wii versions. I remember looking at the DS version of MySims agents fondly. Regular MySims DS is just ok
Yeah I prefer MySims Agents over the rest, tho I played it on the DS back then and idk if it still holds up to this day
I literally based my main oc's twin brother off the green haired buddy
I was waiting for the mention of my sims / kingdom 😂 oddly enough, i was watching those old videos recently
For years I've wondered where the pissed off clip from your old intro came from. You have solved this mystery for me. I feel peace. Thank you, Austin.
it's crazy how our opinions on things can drastically change from when a game first comes out to a few years later. like i was very disappointed with breath of the wild at first like i still enjoyed the game but i was so bummed that it wasn't a "zelda" game to me, but a few years later i fell in love for the game it was when replaying it plus all of the dlc
Fortune street is a great game. I want it on switch or the switch 2
Yay a new video just what I needed today a massive nostalgia bomb when you bought up the my sims agents video.
fell to my knees when he said majoras mask wasnt number one anymore...
Left 4 Dead 2 saved my cat and got me into modding games
That magic school animal-crossing-like is so intriguing! I can see why you like it, it's very charming and its neat to see the ways the deviated from their inspirations.
My sims next to a zelda game is such a funny juxtaposition
i was the same about animal parade, i didn't like it at first but gave it another shot and it grew on me, it's charming
Twilight princess is still my favorite
I am sooooo happy that Peebs finally came around about TP
“Back in 2013..2014?” Aged me instantly 👵🏻
My opinion on Twilight Princess has flipped the opposite direction. I used to like it a lot. It was the first Zelda game I beat. After playing Ocarina of Time over and over, Wind Waker, A Link to the Past, and A Link Between Worlds, I can honestly say I think Twilight Princess is kinda derivative trash.
As a PBG fan for 13 years now, this pleases me greatly
Wii sports resort can never be beat. Though I will say, there are 2 games that I thought looked fun on the Wii U. The mario party game where you could play a luigi's haunted mansion-esque game, and ZombiiU.
I always get the theme "Awake" from Circle of the Moon in my head
Message to toasty: Hold start when booting original DS games on a 3DS, in order to preserve the original resolution for a sharp capture 👌
Animal Parade is one of my favorite hm games
Honestly, the mini games on Mario 64 DS were what made that game great.
The fact that Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times is one of the most expensive 2nd Market Games on the DS is crazy to me.
the thumbnail looks like the good ending 😭
In regards to Harvest Moon Animal Parade.
This came out after Harvest Mood Tree of Tranquility for the Nintendo Wii. Many of the characters are actually from that game. Id say the styles are basically the same, if not Animal Parade being a little bit more cartoony as you said. But if you played Tree of Tranquility, it warms you up to the style and silliness of Animal Parade so its not a huge change from say A Wonderful Life.
I just noticed Tree of Tranquility wasn't on your Harvest Moon tier list thats all :3 Personally I liked Tree of Tranquility more than Animal Parade but both have a very special place in my heart.
Bruh, how did the deserted island list not get one of those all-in-one Atari/generic arcade games mega packs that were constantly sold for like ten bucks?
I'll come over and play Fortune Street with you, Austin! I freaking ADORE Fortune Street!
Ooo! I never heard of fortune street, but I'm down to try it! Local event, maybe?
Peebs holding Mario Party 4 up and I was about to throw words
lol I remember getting hyped over Jumpgate Evolution... I was into space sims like Freelancer and EVE Online and Jumpgate looked like an online version of that (well EVE was online but didn't have action combat)
You weren't wrong about Twilight Princess. Nintendo is notorious for rubber banding with their Zelda games based on feedback.
Wind waker was too cartoony, so they made Twilight Princess dark and gritty. Skyward Sword was too linear, so they made Breath of the Wild completely open world. Dungeons & enemy variety for BotW to TotK. I'm assuming that they'll rubberband back to some form of linearity with the next mainline Zelda (post Echoes of Wisdom) because so many people still didn't care for the dungeons in TotK.
I love all the Zelda games, but it's not hard to see that Nintendo does listen to the negative criticism.
The DS Castlevania titles are easily my favorites on that console, all three offer different experiences because of their mechanics but are consistent in terms of quality and yeah I love the pixel art and the huge bestiary.
i was wrong about smash bros ultimate. at first i wrote it off as just another smash bros, but as the announcements kept rolling out and i saw some of the fan favourite characters they were adding i realised just how great it would be. now it’s one of my most played games!
I want to say this as positively as possible, I can't believe I've been watching you for 10 years...used to watch PBG all the time in the computer lab at my old middle school. And dont worry we are all old men now
You said Mario Party 8 and I got Vietnam War flashbacks of the soda minigame.
City Folk is my favorite Animal Crossing game as well
man when i was a kid i was SO pissed about your mysims takes
I really like mysims, sorry not sorry lol. I like the creative liberty and the building mechanics (granted the controls can be quite frustrating). I like the goofy characters and the random stuff they do (e.g., spooky sims can partake in a seance).
i’m hoping the switch version makes the controls a bit less clunky and the camera angles less awful.
Castlevania is so good, one of my most favorite game series.
Peebs Is Better Than All Of Us
He Has Hotten Over The Fact That There Likely Wont Be A HL3
The fact that everyone told peebs about my sims 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it makes me so happy 26:14
“You might not know I had a channel got peanut butter gamer.”
Huh? I didn’t know you had a channel called peebs…
WoW is massive right now with newest xpac, I’m so happy it’s going strong!
22:32 those twilight princess streams were the first of your streams i chatted in and watched fully, they were so much fun to watch and chat in and after every stream i would excitedly wait for toasty's edits of the stream on his twitter they were so funny, i used to watch them over and over, i'm very nostalgic for that time now, and so glad the peebs channel came soon after
I just noticed that you have the Lego Deku tree behind you!! Lucky 😅
I remember defending Twilight Princess in the comments of that video. It's still my favorite after all these years
My friends and I are a bunch of mature adults.
We still call the coke game in Mario Party 8 the wanking game.
Take a shot evertime PBG says specifically and then says something non-specific
Fortune Street is one of my favorite games! I still put my wii out to play that occasionally but always alone, nobody likes that game haha
MySims has the same appeal as Minecraft or Roblox, building stuff is fun
We need more toy, food, and field trip videos 😭😭
I'LL PLAY FORTUNE STREET WITH YOU
you were right about twilight princess
When you put twilight princess below Zelda 2 that probably bothered me back in the day lmao
What was with the channel swap? It always confused me and until I found this account I genuinely thought you quit and I was heart broken. Was UA-cam like being weird with your old account or smth? (Hopefully this didn’t come out as rude, just tryna understand 😋)
PEEBS! Rofftensive would play Fortune Street with you!!!
15:41 i am one of em, glad to see you converted. genuinely top 3 mario party game for me
-BOTW is overrated. GASP ゚Д゚!
-2:14 Milk doesn't grow though.
-I thought the game you had on the note was a digital only game.
-10:46 If this game requires stylus controls then I'll play this on my R4 card. -Some DS games especially the Zelda DS ones are not good games to play on an emulator.
-Half Life 3 is never going to come out. Just like Beyond Good and Evil 2.
*12:11 AAAAAHHH- ゚Д゚!
-16:39 I think even some GameCube and PS2 games were widescreen. This made it easier to enjoy on an HD screen.
-I never heard of Fortune Street.
-19:06 HOW CAN YOU HATE CASTLEVANIA!? Dawn of Sorrow is one of the top ones. The GBA Castlevania games are mediocre, except Aria of Sorrow. That's the best one. 19:20 That scene in Pokémon was pretty horrifying. Thank to a friend I was able to play Symphony of the Night on PS1. Love the cheesy voice acting.
-I should be thankful that my parents didn't get me a Wii in 2006. I played the better version of Twilight Princess for the Game Cube. It sucks that version was delayed. Zelda 2 was way too damn hard to be enjoyable. The easy mode mod made it enjoyable. PBGamer seems to hate dark stuff. I was super hyped for Twilight Princess. I think I finished it pretty quickly.
-24:53 Playing it alone isn't it too bad. Didn't Zero Punctuation say that co-op is not very cooperative?
-26:43 This person probably sleeps on a nail bed if she finds this comfortable.
Someone hasn’t checked the valve source code🙄 hl3 might happen not saying it will but I can dream can’t i
i forgot about basketball, i didn't even know it released already, i haven't touched it yet but maybe i will
my turnips reached the third level of their growth cycle 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Whos gonna tell Pbg that HLX has been leaked
But what about My Sims Party, Peebs?
You forgot to include FF7 Rebirth
Are there any games you liked that you were wrong about?
One of my favorite hobbies right now is discovering or rediscovering all the old nintendo games on my switch while listening to Peebs, currently playing mario golf for 64, love you Peebs thanks for changing your mind about Zelda TP🫶
The fact that the MySims game is still buried out there somewhere is SO FUNNY BRO
It's buried treasure lol
Sounds like a Creepypasta waiting to happen! 😂
Someday, in Somewhere, Texas, someone could be gardening and find in the soil a copy of MySims.
i have to find it
PBG ARG FINNALY CONFIRMED :'D
"You may not know I have a second channel called PeanutButterGamer" made me age physically. I found that channel first and didn't even know you HAD this channel
my dumb ass thought i WAS watching from the pbg channel
@@Flamemorph Same lmao
ive followed him so long that i remember when his top 10 deserted island games was released
SAME
I remember the normal boots intro 😭
Finally, MySims gets SOME justice lol. I definitely loved Kingdoms and Agents over the original MySims tho, and I agree Agents is definitely the best. It's a shame the sequel to it never came to light, but I'm happy they're giving MySims a chance again!!
Hell yeah ^^^
One day, some archeologist from the year 4000 is going to dig up my sims and think thats what everybody played for entertainment back in the day. Thanks peebs.
I was working on beating the City in the Sky when this dropped. Twilight is and will (probably) always be my favorite Zelda game.
It was my first Zelda game, and in retrospect it feels a little underbaked (the horse hurdles are made a huge deal of in the beginning, then, nothing, many NPCs just stand around rather than moving, relies too much on show don't tell, lack of actually fun side quests, etc) but I still really love it. It's lots of fun to play, the character development when active is amazing, I think it looks beautiful, the soundtrack is astonishing. Amazing game that needed a little more time.
I bought Animal Parade because of your video and still haven't played it... I've seen someone stream it aswell and it does look really fun. I think you just now encouraged me to make it a goal to try and play it by the end of the year.
Nice! Hope you have a good time with it. :)
I hope you have fun when you do ^^ I’ve played it a few times and found it really fun. There’s a fun selection of bachelors and bachelorettes. Most of which return from Tree of Tranquility (Witch, Wizard, and the Harvest King being elusive to AP) and they have some fun clothing options and festivals.
I also like the bell system a bit over the rainbow system from Tree of Tranquility. Though I miss the charged watering can option from ToT.
It's super good! I love tree of tranquility :) (it's the one that came before! It uses the same characters)
Its good, one of my favourite HM, and the art direction is pretty cute.
Also ridable ostriches
I’m in the same boat! To in my case I didn’t play for too since it felt weird not playing a HM game on a handheld and my Wii kept making loud noises lol
My sims agents is actually such a hidden gem on the Wii. The game has cool settings, lots of hidden secrets, and tons of fun and interesting puzzles. You can also decorate your agency in a lot of detail, so it appeals to sims and animal crossing fans (Proof: Every time my sister had a turn to play, she would spend literal HOURS choosing wallpapers and rearranging furniture.)
