Hey man! I recently found your channel and now I love watching you fish. You seem like an experienced fishermen and you are a chill guy. I live in West Virginia so it's cool to watch you catch fish that I can't.
Awesome. Targeted them for the first time yesterday in Maryland's coastal bays behind Ocean City. Didn't get any but was using cut bluecrab. Will have to try clam.
Hi Sea-Money Fishing. thank you for your nice videos. Would you mind telling what is the make and model of your kayak Please? I didnt' know they now make kayak with pedals nowadays.... thank you. stef, Montreal.
I used and actually still use power pro sometimes but only on lighter fishing. Pretty much every flathead guy I know here has broken power pro at least once. It seems to always break under the line rating. On all of my flathead set ups I use 100-150lb Kast King braid. I still have never broken mainline with it. Best decision I have ever made line wise. If I was fishing more open water I'm sure I could get away with 50-65lb braid. We fish lots of rock piles and trees/underwater forests and need the line to hold up when pulling the fish in.
I know its been a while since youve been there but do you remember where abouts you launched at. like beach wise. I am trying to get on a drum off the kayak and delaware side has let me down twice so far
Please do a vid if you can on how to spoon and properly use the reel, i was in miami last two weeks and went on fishing because of your videos, but couldnt even cast at all... Thank you for your vids, from venezuela very much appreciated
+jonathan snyder Its definitely slower than it was last year. Flounder numbers are way low in lewes so far this spring, and the blues seem pretty inconsistent too.. I tried CHSP earlier in the spring and also caught nothing :/
Hi, Really enjoy your vids, very different fishing to the UK! I was wondering if you could share the make/model of your kayak? I really like the foot pedal system it has and would be interested to see your setup if its in any video? thanks!
+Smelly Ferret Ill post a video sometime soon of my kayak but until then it is a Hobie Revolution 13, plenty of reviews and pics online if you google it! thanks!
Hey I'm going to wildwood in the beginning of June and I'd just like to know some good spots to fish and what to use to catch some nice fish and what's best to catch down there?
I have a beach house in wildwood there is a bridge when u go into wildwood and there is a big fishing boat on the cape may side fish on the wildwood side with gotcha plugs 3/8 and 1/2 bucktails and on the cape may ferry fishing with the same stuff and clam
do you have to buy a fishing license for every state u fish at or is there a fishing license you can purchase that allows u to fish anywhere in the states?
yea they hang out on rockpiles and hard bottom and stuff like that, I think you can find black drum and stripers in a lot of the same locations. I think by now the black drum bite is slowing down however you might be able to find them all summer long if you do some research. I havent caught one in a couple weeks by now. Last couple trips I got skunked on them so Ive been moving on to other species.
+Jeff Bob It's pretty damn hard to put 50lbs of force while setting the hook and his mainline is what broke, not the leader. Almost every single breaking point test I have seen for Power Pro is horrible. It's always way less than what it is rated at. In fact almost all braid is like that but power pro seems to be the worst of the big brand names. I have and know way too many people that have broke power pro on fish, structure, and just setting the hook. I've even seen 150lb test break...
Someday I'd love to get into topwater red drum. Do drum fight like stripers or blues, as in straight runs before tiring out or continued tug of war? As for the braided line, I've tested Power Pro, Sufix, Spiderwire, and Berkley. The line I've fallen in love with is Berkley Trilene Braid Professional Grade. Better than Power Pro Super 8 Slick. Have 14lb on a Conflict 2500 and casts so nicely with 7 to 9 foot rods. Hardly any tangles, and if you get any, they're simple to undo.
Sea-Money Fishing yea im really looking to get one with pedals... do you install them yourself or are there a certain kind of kayaks that come wiht them?
+Hunter430 Hobie and Jackson are the 2 brands I know that make the peddles, Hobie calls it a mirage drive, they also have rudders on them to steer with. These are tops for fishing yaks as they allow you to fish more and paddle less.. hands free paddling basically, but yes its only a couple specific brands of yaks that do this.
+killerninjao1o not common in NJ or DE but further south in assateague they get them pretty consistently. A 72lb was caught from shore in brigantine 2 days ago. It happens but it's not consistent or easy
+John Moore I'd rather eat a burger haha, I do keep fish occasionally but 99% I release em. Everything is overfished and I mainly just like feeling the bite and the fight. Trying to harvest fish from the yak sucks and bigger fish especially. You won't see me releasing any fluke, that's for sure
Btw power pro is junk. I switched all of my reels to Daiwa braided lines. I use the Daiwa j braid, samurai and the boat braid. It's the best braid I've ever used. Better than suffix in my opinion
yea some people enjoy eating them however I have never tried it. Its a lot of work to clean them, their scales are big and tough and difficult to cut through, I usually just grab a sandwhich or a pizza on my way home and eat that haha
+TheGreatNorth I used to keep all the legal size fish I would catch but after awhile I grew tired of dealing with the work and mess of cleaning the fish and bringing it home. I do still keep fish on occasion but I am much more into just catching them than I am eating them, instead I stop at wawa and grab a sandwich most of the time.
Just recently found Romo's Channel. Watched most of his videos. LOL. Nice video, Chris! Tight lines and fish on!
+Extreme Philly Fishing thanks man
+Sea-Money Fishing whats your biggest fish
Got to love that exciting sound of drag going out!

Awesome. Targeted them for the first time yesterday in Maryland's coastal bays behind Ocean City. Didn't get any but was using cut bluecrab. Will have to try clam.
I use the suffix 832, what a strong and trustworthy line!
nice very nice! those drums look like they fight like tanks.
Hi Sea-Money Fishing. thank you for your nice videos.

I'm new to fishing AND Delaware. Where were you guys launching from?!?! I know this is years old lol. Thanks
I know its been a while since youve been there but do you remember where abouts you launched at. like beach wise. I am trying to get on a drum off the kayak and delaware side has let me down twice so far
Jerry Brown. Great braid tough to find in nj though, think I ordered from tackle direct last time I got it.
I have the exact same feelings about power pro. No such issues with Spiderwire
feel ya on the power pro problems. I was lifting a 3lb channy in the tidal skuke in march and my 50lb snapped
Yea that's unacceptable
I've been having probs out of power pro too will definitely be switching to the sufix 832
Great video again, keep up the good work.
Chris Keep it going baby much luv from a Philly compadre
just got the inter web in my house, finally crawling out of the stone age,
but loving the videos man

What kind of st croix that you were using on your bait runner. Looking to get a older model st croix for a buck tail rod off of the obx piers.
+Blake Huling thats a heavy action st croix premier 7'. St croix are excellent, you will not be disappointed.
When kayaking on the Chesapeake bay do you need anything special?
What kind of line do you usually use to catch bluefish?
Please do a vid if you can on how to spoon and properly use the reel, i was in miami last two weeks and went on fishing because of your videos, but couldnt even cast at all... Thank you for your vids, from venezuela very much appreciated
awesome! I launched at CHSP over the weekend getting skunked looking for that Blue and Flounder bite.
+jonathan snyder Its definitely slower than it was last year. Flounder numbers are way low in lewes so far this spring, and the blues seem pretty inconsistent too.. I tried CHSP earlier in the spring and also caught nothing :/
+Sea-Money Fishing great vid

+Sea-Money Fishing I appreciate the reply thanks! Tight lines :)
Also can you go flounder fishing at Kipptopeake from shore?
Hey I'm going to wildwood in the beginning of June and I'd just like to know some good spots to fish and what to use to catch some nice fish and what's best to catch down there?

+Brandon Olewiler is it going to be crowded or a lot of people? What will I most likely hook up with?
I use power pro as well and fortunately I have not had any problems but suffix is a great line
That was a shiny Magickarp made up of pure gold!
great vid. we fish a lot for drums in NC but we can not harvest tjem6
do you have to buy a fishing license for every state u fish at or is there a fishing license you can purchase that allows u to fish anywhere in the states?
Need one for each state
+Sea-Money Fishing oh ok. thanks for the response.
I have problems snapping power pro too on hook set.
Got to give this a try sometime. Do they relate to structure like stripers?
yea they hang out on rockpiles and hard bottom and stuff like that, I think you can find black drum and stripers in a lot of the same locations. I think by now the black drum bite is slowing down however you might be able to find them all summer long if you do some research. I havent caught one in a couple weeks by now. Did you launch off of broadkill ?
My dad caught a 30 inch black drum just yesterday at Houston,TX
I like power pro. I have no problems on it. Maybe you setting the hook too hard or maybe its the flurocarbon leader(if you have it on).
+Jeff Bob It's pretty damn hard to put 50lbs of force while setting the hook and his mainline is what broke, not the leader. Almost every single breaking point test I have seen for Power Pro is horrible. It's always way less than what it is rated at. I've only caught one while fishing for flounder about 10lbs on a 6'6 rod with 8lb test

yo man, what kinda kayak do you use? i wanna get into kayak fishikg for the nj bay and ocean
+Hunter430 it's a hobie revolution 13, the peddles are awesome but they aren't cheap! Buying a used yak is the way to go if you decide to get one
Awesome as always
Is it common to catch them from the shore?

+daniel fernandez its a penn squall 12
Sea-Money Fishing

What reel is that?
Shimano bait runner oc 6000
PP from ebay/amazon is like buying Oakley's in any city in the 90's.

that first one didn't want to come in haha, and I've had problems with power pro also I use the 20lb it wears out real fast.
Great video as always man. Keep it up! :)
try some kastking I been using it for years and it lays tight on the reels and is strong never broken a fish off and it doesn't wear out fast
@seamonkeyfishing was so cool to meet you next time u come to cape may let me know go fishing together
+james snyder hell yea man! Cool running into you!
nice black drum!
can u go to florida again
I use 50 pound spider wire braid
Hey its the kid from the inlet
U end up getting any?
+Alexander Fatenko yo dude! Nope got nothin haha but I'll give you a shoutout in an upcoming video!
how come you never keep any fish?
Drum don't taste very good
Most folks say the opposite, they say that black drum especially has a very good white meat
+conor27 drum is a very good fish to eat you just got to prep it right and cook it right and cut the blood vain out
+Sea-Money Fishing good on ya, a true sportsman

Lol why would he go out on a charter if he can already catch them on his own lol
+TM Miner because sometimes it's convenient to not carry a kayak around. Just hop on the boat and fish and leave and not have to clean anything up
"Drum drum drum drum drum drum drum drum"

You very rarely keep what you catch
+TheGreatNorth I used to keep all the legal size fish I would catch but after awhile I grew tired of dealing with the work and mess of cleaning the fish and bringing it home. I do still keep fish on occasion but I am much more into just catching them than I am eating them, instead I stop at wawa and grab a sandwich most of the time.
ya, I think kayak fishing looks like a great hobby and one I might want to get into but I hate most seafood so I would keep maybe three fish all year
4th
What kind of line do you usually use to catch bluefish?
what pound test
