Wow those chickens can fly when they want too! Amazing!
No, I don't put galric in the water, I will sometimes feed it to them but very rarely. I will sometimes put vinegar in their water, not very often just when it is SUPER rainy to kill any bacteria that may have made it into their systems through the rain water, but even then I don't put a lot in the water. If there is green algae in a water container they drink from (like an old bucket that sits out to collect rain water) I don't do anything to the water at all, just let nature take its course. The algae will filter out the water, and eat the 'germs'.

DO you think they drink the vinegar water?
I don't know how strong their smell is or if they are attracted to garlic water or not.
I put a cut up clove in the garlic the other day and forgot I did it.
      |I couldn't figure out what that awful smell was.
But I was thinking the smell might be a deterrent to them drinking the water.

@@jgunn03 She might be, it was pretty cool as I only have heavy breeds of chickens and while they can fly a moderate amount they usually won't or can't fly like that unless they are juveniles or have very strong muscles.
Yeah, they probably do taste and smell the vinegar but I don't put an overwhelming amount in the water. They'll still drink it. It's also not the only source of water they have, so they only drink it when they want to. In a way they sort of self medicate themselves.

@@cjs_chicks I haven't had heavy breeds in years. I keep forgetting the differences in them.
I didn't know vinegar water was a thing for chickens.

@jgunn03 The difference can be pretty big.
