Thanks for your crucial update. I am traveling to the UK from murtala Mohammad international this Friday 29th September, British airways, I heard it's chaotic, not looking forward to it.
I honestly expected the new terminal to be bigger than the old one but when I saw it last year, I was confused, mainly because the check-in counters are just not enough for the number of airlines that fly out of Lagos airport daily especially at night, the airport would start getting congested once it’s 4-5pm, let’s not even start talking about immigration or baggage claim, sigh, I really had expectations, but anyways, at least we even have a new terminal 😂 I think they should renovate the old terminal to look just as good as the new terminal or even better, then they can both operate as one, after all, they’re already conjoined or they can make the terminals work individually, either ways, we’ll still have 2 functional international/regional terminal

I am working at Washington Reagan National Airport, they are on a renovation plan that are proceeded by phase, I think it is the best way to do it, overcrowd the new terminal will probably wear the new installation too fast.
Where is United Airlines? Which terminal? They used to say terminal 1: Gate E55. Now it says HOLD or nothing. I’m flying in October 25th.

Funke thank you. Been hearing conflicting news about the stress that travelers experience with the old and new airport . Am traveling in November and Am almost tempted to fly In through Abuja and then continue to Lagos even though I have no business there. You really dey try. Thanks a lot

@@excobadeking8164 As far as I know, you just need proof of Covid vaccination card that you upload on the travel Naija website and then to show the airline when checking in.

The new terminal does not seem to have the capacity to accept all of the carriers that are now flying from there. I flew Delta from Lagos a few weeks ago headed back to the US and it was an absolute mess!!!! Not to mention, I still had to walk over from the new terminal to the old one to catch my flight from the gate for Delta. There does not seem to be enough space at the airline counters, immigration checks, and security, to accommodate all of the passengers coming through the new terminal. Hopefully…as time progresses, it will get better.

The government doesnt know what to do. Clueless. Everybody knew they would have to reopen the old terminal. To be honest if there wasnt such corruption then the airport would be a lot bigger, more organised and more modern. They would also have an airport in every state of Nigeria.

To be honest, I am happy to use the new airport and be driven over to the plane. Some countries do this so it’s no shame.
Said it before that the closure will just create a mess. Actually we need a new Airport. Hope it's competent contractor handling the project.

Even I knew it was not going to work . It reminds of previous shoot from the hip policies like BVN , NIN & change of currency, that caused nothing but inconvenience, pain & suffering on Nigerians
