Nice to see you posting a video. This is really informative. I have printed and painted this building and I 100% agree with your assessment of Corvus Games Terrain. All his stuff is amazing and this building is one of my favorites.
Great to see you back and really like the finished building too. Just another reason for me to pick up MCP now. Also if you ever feel like a collaboration video I'd love to do something with you ;)
Man, I've missed your painting videos Mr. Jarret. 3D printing has indeed invaded the hobby space. Seems like I can't watch a hobby related UA-cam video nowdays without someone schilling for this kickstarter or that one. Kinda getting 3D printer overload and I don't even 3D print.
Nice! For the rooftop symbols it's good to use thinned paint and a syringe. Inject a bit of liquid paint in the grooves and just move the parts to make the paint move along the grooves.
Came out great! And Corvus Games Terrain really does have the best terrain for MCP. Would love to see your approach to some of their other terrain such as the gas station, park, greebles, etc.
Hey Jarrett (sp?). It's a shame you don't have more subscribers and views. Your tutorials and painting guides are great and helped me a lot. Keep up the great work.
Great video with good tips. I would certainly like to see what other games you print terrain for and how you approach painting them. Corvus has some good Star Wars terrain too. I have printed several pieces and started painting, but none finished yet because I wasn't happy with the print lines showing. I'll give your suggestions a try. I have been looking for a good source of LOTR terrain as well if you have any suggestions.
This is a huge help! I never thought of using filler primer! What nozzle size did you use? I'm debating trying a 2mm nozzle for a building but I'm not sure if its necessary, especially if yours looks that good and you used a 4mm nozzle.
Looks amazing such a good job and your right you can hardly see the lines at all. Just started painting my naboo terrain for legion and for some reason the primer is just rubbing off. Do you need to wash the prints
Just interested what is the cost difference between doing Terrain using a Resin Printer compared to FDM + Time and effort? I think print lines would drive me up the wall personelly
I'm not 100% sure about the cost - it's more about the size of the terrain and how long it takes to print in resin. But nowadays, there are larger printers coming out in reasonable price ranges that can print larger items like terrain so it's always changing I guess.
I'm always jazzed to see you upload. But why not paint these with cheap craft paint? When you're deliberately letting the paint fill in layer lines fine pigment paint shouldn't matter, so why use a 4 or 5 dollar thimble of expensive paint?
Matt Becker I don’t really like using craft paint as the coverage (even thick) is c often lacking. It didn’t even occur to me to use it :) that said, one could easily buy similar colored craft paints if wanting to save costs. I own gallons of hobby paint so this was no big deal (and to be honest it didn’t really take that much paint to do this big building).
You lost the weight again right? Congrats ! I knew you could. Not trying to be rude but I just remember you mentioned it long ago and now I can tell the difference! Love your videos!
Not rude at all, I really appreciate you mentioning it! Since November last year I’ve lost about 30 pounds. Just wish my double chin would catch up and go away 🤣
Fantastic job Jarrett, I think you really captured the comicbook look of the Mystical House. Thanks for featuring my designs too.
Corvus Games Terrain no problem, and thanks!
excellent video. very happy you are making videos again.

Great work!!! I wish I had the sanctum!
Though I have yet to have something printed, (First chance next week) I simply love the options from Corvus offers.

Nice to see you back! Haven’t seen any videos in a while. This building turned out really nice!
Matt Cappelli thanks!

You really have done a splendid job on that!
Jack Sarge thank you!

Meneldhil thank you (and yes you spelled my name right). Yep I haven’t yet unlocked the secret to more subscribers like some of my peers have!

Looks amazing bud. Can I ask what filler primer you use as the ones I see are meant for metal for what I can see
Yep there’s a shot of it at 3:07
Thank you just need to pray its in the UK now
Excellent as always!

Been a while - I think a 2.5 or 3?
@@TheMiniJunkie Thanks a ton! I'll try a 2mm out then
I've heard that putting a FDM print in a container with some acetone will smooth the layer lines as well, but I haven't tried that
Yes - only certain types of filament though I think.
Looks amazing such a good job and your right you can hardly see the lines at all. Just started painting my naboo terrain for legion and for some reason the primer is just rubbing off. Do you need to wash the prints
Might depend on the material. If it's PLA, no I don't think there's any need to wash the prints.
Thank you
That looks awesome. What kind of printer did you use and what kind do you use for your minis now? Great video!
Thanks - I use an Ender 3 pro and an Ender 3 V2 for FDM/buildings, and I use either my Elegoo Mars or Creality LD-002R for miniatures :)

Hello, where could I get the file stl to print the house, I am not able to find it.thanks
Any thoughts on acetone vapor smoothing for PLA prints?
rustedbeetle my understanding is it only works for ABS, but I could be misinformed.

@@TheMiniJunkie fo sho 🙂
Uploaded 43 seconds ago?! Just in time.
You know, the roof and upper floors might work better printed translucent and skip painting the sigil on the roof, then putting a light inside...
