    For those that aren't aware, our videos are backdated from the previous year as we look to catch up over the coming months. We have TON'S of footage to sift through. The house renovation, work and children have been our main focus for the past year, so bare with us as the episodes catch up (which they will as faster episodes get released, and we have an additional laptop now too, allowing for more editing during the day when jordan is using the only laptop that we had for work). Thanks everyone 😊.

    Just found your channel and binge watched all episodes, you guys are amazing, well done, enjoy the freedom, looks fab 🥰 can't wait for other uploads when you have time and eventually see how things are in the present, keep going it's going to look amazing .

      Hey! We're so glad you've found us! woooooop. And thanks for all the kind words. We will eventually catch up and when we deliver all footage upto the 1 year mark that'll be a season and we'll move strait on with the next :). Editing takes a huge chunk of our time, and our ambition is to ensure people currently get an episode every 2 weeks, and so far the last 3 releases have all been within that time frame. If we could do an episode a week, we would but its not realistic at the moment :).

    The river flows under the ground, as the water table fills up you'll start seeing it fill the channel. Then in the summer the water will evaporate from the top layers of the soil and appear to disappear into the ground once more. They're called Episodic, or Ephemeral, Seasonal, or Periodic rivers. You are correct, if you dig down into the river channel you will find water. That's my Geography teacher 2p's worth of info. New viewer to your channel, I've moved from the UK {Newmarket] to the USA [ Tulsa, OK]. Not as mad as you to buy a fixer upper though.

    You look truly happy guys! I’m sure it is a struggle some days , but you look happy! As I’m looking from a side. Judging by the videos you are happy and congrats! Also because you mention about the money, have you consider trying to start a job in Bulgaria like online (home office) or something like that at least for the winter when you cannot do much with the renovation? As the nursery is for free maybe …. 🤷🏼 just a suggest (hug) best wishes from the east coast of Bulgaria :)

    Winter is coming, yes. However the winter in the Haskovo area is rather warm. Much warmer than in Sofia (and lately the worst we had was -7). The climate is changing. All in all, do not worry too much as it will probably be a mild winter. That being said, you do need to address the pipe situation. Have you considered drilling a hole in the wall that is next to the water source? It's like a meter away and you can cover the pipe up with bricks or even concrete, like a tunnel. This means no digging. :)

    • @frombournemouthtobulgaria
      @frombournemouthtobulgaria  Рік тому +2

      We have experienced a haskovo bulgarian winter as these videos are from last year, and your right, it's rather warm! -7 was the worst for us last winter.
      As for the pipes, we know this need addressing properly, and it's something we're working towards for sure. Not sure if it would be harder to drill into wallto be fair, that's a long old drill. 🤔

      We really love shopska believe it or not. Salads in the UK cannot compare to bulgaria. Its just not the same. If I went back to England tomorrow I'd miss bulgarian salads.

      @vanken7htainertruesoundrec879 12 днів тому

      @ you should try other salads it’s like every region has different types salads Ovcharska - Sheep guard salad, kiselo mlqko sus marula i repichki - Bulgarian Yogurt with Red radishes and MARULA - BG type of cabbage like I don’t know how to describe ask some Baba to explain , salad of oven Red Papers with onion rings and garlic. And lots of more do the research because I assume you eating mostly vegetables. I wish you all the Best

      All of our videos are back dated as most of our recording is done, saved on a cloud and uploaded as and when we have the time.
      As it stands, our videos were coming out approximately once a month, now its every 2 weeks and hopefully soon will be even more regular once the kids attend school.
      Editing takes a very long time to do, but we don't hand select what we decide to video, we decided to video absolutely everything we do for as much realistic content as possible, so this takes times to edit and to sift through what's relevant 😊
      So yes, everything you guys are seeing is backdated, but that's due to the high content recorded and lack of time to edit due to the renovation, children, work. We do our best regardless to bring everyone content.
      We have just got another laptop now too so when Jordan is working jn the day on the Internet I (lewis) have another one to work on, so expect it to speed up. 👍

    Things in BG got very expensive especially after Covid, combination of energy costs, greed and the fact very little is produced locally since the changes in the 90s, unfortunately it's loosing it's appeal as affordable destination. Still cheaper in comparison to other EU countries but we are fast catching up. I would say some goods are cheaper in UK than BG and better quality too. It's a shame really, Bulgarian politics are a total mess and that reflects on the cost of living.

    • @covboy10

      Yes, we've certainly found some things to be extremely expensive in comparison which is tough at times. Who knows where the country will be after they convert to the Euro here.
