    It's kinda funny how Rounda Rousey can't handle a boo for one segment, While guys like Roman & Cena were literally booed every week & yet still established a legacy & status that they have right now.

      That's egomaniacs for you can't handle anything challenging their illusions of greatness and unlike a 2000s Triple H or Hogan period she couldn't force the show her way so acted like a child
      In hindsight her leaving UFC ASAP after her first loss should've been a red flag

    Man 'Taker was the guy that kept Shawn in line back then. He knew after that Montreal Screwjob incident, he had to keep his guard up around Shawn and he wasn't afraid to get physical if he had to.

    • @sonicslv6132
      @sonicslv6132 6 місяців тому +5

      Except the Screwjob isn't HBK fault, idea, or even bad for business. Arguably it's the correct way and Bret was the one who going for himself than do business. In the end, Bret still refuses to give up the title when the match started while HBK actually giving up the title without any interference needed.

    • @Leanzazzy
      @Leanzazzy 5 місяців тому

      I think none of you guys actually know anything and just comment whatever you feel like.
      The Montreal screwjob was completely Bret's fault. He was leaving to join WCW the next day, which was a rival brand and as he was the current champion, he obviously had to drop the title to someone else before leaving. The only sensible choice was HBK, because both HBK and Bret Hart were literally the only decent wrestlers at the time and were carrying the show themselves.
      However, Bret didn't want to lose to Shawn Michaels because he had problems with him IRL and also because the match was taking place in his home country(Canada).
      Vince McMahon had actually given Bret Hart many opportunities to drop the title earlier, but he hadn't, so Vince had no choice but to force him to, and you saw how professionally Bret Hart took it.
      HBK actually jobbed to Bret Hart FIVE times (even though he didn't like him) while Bret Hart refused to job to HBK even once, and when he was forced to (The Montreal Screwjob) he took it personally, spat in Vince McMahon's face (you can see it in the match) and retired from the WWE.
      What eventually happened to him? He faded into nothingness and became a memory, while Shawn went on to become a legend and the greatest showman and one of the most talented wrestlers in history.

    • @zeospark9715
      @zeospark9715 5 місяців тому

      @@Leanzazzy Lot of things wrong with what you said but Bret retired because of that? That's completely wrong. Bret retired because of Goldberg giving him a concussion with a botched Superkick that caused him to end his career then and there. If that never would've happened, Bret would still been to wrestle. And faded to nothingness? You seriously forgot the time Bret came back to the WWE and even wrestled a good few times even winning the US title? He was the one that unified the tag titles for the first time.

    • @Leanzazzy
      @Leanzazzy 5 місяців тому

      @@zeospark9715I know about the kick from Goldberg. I didn't say he retired from wrestling; I said he retired from the WWE, which is correct.
      The way Bret did it was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. He spat in Vince McMahon's face and fought with him backstage, and also confronted HBK.
      Bret Hart's most successful time was during his run in the 90's and that is what everyone remembers him for.
      All this is beyond the point, which is that HBK didn't screw over Bret or was it any fault of his own - he was just doing what he was told to do and Bret took it extremely poorly. Nor was "UnderTaker keeping Shawn in line". HBK knew the rules and stuck to the script.
      You're just saying that simply because you don't like HBK.

Also, Vince, or any other promoter for that matter, would never let a stable like that grow beyond that run. It was just over because of all the anti-SuperCena sentiment. The fact that it was Cena who was tasked with burying them because if it wasn't him, the only other sensical option was Lesnar and we all know how much people hated Kofi's title loss (which should've been one of the top humblings)

    I'll admit I didn't hate Hogan's 2002-03 return. It gave us The Rock match at 'Mania X8 and THAT atmosphere, and his putting over Angle and Brock to their submission holds via tap out and pass out respectively were great for their careers; I enjoyed his (short) Tag Title run with Edge (his only ever Tag Title) and even holding the Undisputed Title for a month wasn't TOO bad as beating Triple H in 2002 when he "probably shouldn't have" fell into the "how do YOU like it" vein, and was used to transition it to Taker.
    Even the match with Vince at Mania XIX wasn't bad (of course it's right he won THAT), and I thought the Mr America gimmick was funny, as he wasn't main eventing PPVs with it (sadly why he quit again). It was 2005 onwards that started to get ridiculous, with his infamous defeats of HBK and Randy Orton especially at SummerSlams '05 and '06 getting wearisome, and there was NO humbling him by THEN...

    People aren't wrong about Rousey's ego, but Rousey isn't wrong either in what she said about so many former WWE wrestlers being held captive by the organization. There's always a free for all when it comes to crapping on WCW, but with WWE, it's obvious that people are still fearful of saying certain things about certain people and that there are orders to always flatter the organization and its legacy.
    Even some of the stuff that was said in shoots during the earlier UA-cam days is stuff that you won't hear about anymore (and unfortunately, some of the wrestlers who gave us the real dirt on WWE are no longer with us either). And anything that was or is controversial gets redefined as having been "what was best for business at the time" as HHH and Vince are fond of saying.

    Ronda Rousey needed to be humbled because she had zero respect for the wrestling business, the very business that gave her a second chance after Holly Holm kicked her head off and Amanda Nunes punched her lights out. No matter how big a star that Ronda Rousey thought she was she was easily replaceable in the fans' eyes, Becky Lynch became the biggest star in Women's Wrestling because the fans saw through Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. Even Charlotte Flair was cheered more in their match than Ronda Rousey was at WrestleMania.

    Some of these are less "wrestler getting humbled" and more "Vince trying to humiliate a wrestler for no discernable reason". Mickey James and Big Show being "humbled" would infer that they needed to be knocked down a peg which simply isn't the case. Vince just wanted to bury them. Mickey for having dared to find success somewhere else and Big Show because he was simply on his way out.

    Ronda Rousey should have gained humility after Holly Holm beat her at UFC but no. Retuned and got chased out by Amanda Nunes. Joined WWE the first time and she was happy and was the talk of the town until the rise of Becky Lynch. Didn't help Ronda that she never improved her mic skills and in ring ability and the fans turned on her. Her second run was worse and it was clear she hated every second despite being the first one to beat Charlotte's Figure 8 submission and become a champion and the company and wrestling community had to wash their hands off her. Till this day she never humbled herself.
    Mickie James got humiliated than being humbled. I get putting over Bliss and Nia Jax at the time but not at an expense of Mickie James. Even after being released instead of giving her a proper sending off, WWE threw her belongings in the trash.
    The Nexus should have won that match and even Edge and Jericho admitted it but John Cena was having none of it. After that match any momentum or hype The Nexus gained died and they weren't a factor. Not even CM Punk could revive The Nexus. Years later John Cena realized it was the wrong move to be the one beating The Nexus.
    He's WrestleMania match against Roman Reigns will go down as the worst performing match Undertaker as done. It was clear he was out of shape and becoming passed it. This is Undertaker and he always pride himself in putting up great matches but that match was awful.
    Honourable mention goes to Theory. Won the briefcase 2 years ago but he was never going to dethrone Roman Reigns. Had WWE booked him to lose the briefcase to Roman Reigns then it wouldn't destroy the credibility of Money in the Bank briefcase but instead he loses it to Seth Rollins for the US title while Rollins had the US title open challenge not only humbling Theory, destroys the briefcase credibility.
