I've had the Ping Hoofer bag for about 3 years, The massive problem with this bag is the Hinge at the bottom you struggle to get the clubs back in the bag with the legs out, you have to stand the bag upright to get the club to fully enter the bottom of the bag..
Completely agree. I have the same bag and once you get past 10 clubs in the bag the clubs snag together and won't go in or out easily. A really good bag but in my opinion is not designed to hold 14 clubs.
Myself and six friends all got DriLite Seven standbags a year ago. All seven bags have broke in one way or another. For most it's been the straps just snapping of their attachments, for others the zips tearing away from the fabric. They all came with extended warranties which now we are struggling to have fulfilled. Won't be buying one of these again.
@@DrLefnut Yeah I went with an Ogio in the end and loving it. The club separator is a total gimmick, the clubs just fall to the side, but its nice and spacious and very comfortable. Also looks super durable.
I've always looked at a golf bag as just another piece of equipment and like my clubs, I want what feels best for me. I don't try to match my bag to any of my clubs. I prefer bags without the stand lever on the bottom. As an engineer, the Ping stand implementation is genius. I've owned several Ping Hoofer bags, I have found that the Lite version has a weak spot. The material wears out too quickly at the seam above the back pad.
That's its downfall! It looks great the way the base sits flat on the ground but you do not need to be an engineer ( this is a golf bag) to know that when you incorporate the stand into it's base then the base diameter is squeezed smaller hence ,Tangle, Tangle and .....more TANGLE with the Ping bags. I love ping but hundreds of people complain about the club grab. Oh do not mention stand the bag vertically each time, defeats the object of an angled stand. Crap bags.
Hello. Maybe you can help me. I'm looking for a new stand bag for this season. Problem is that I also often use it on a Jucad/Justar e-trolley. And most stand bags do not have a secure hold on these trolleys. Do you have any recommendations? I really only use my cart bag in bad weather and competition conditions. Otherwise, I would prefer a light stand bag for training and private laps. So a bag that sits stably on a Jucad/Justar trolley. Of course, a stand bag with a battery pocket would be perfect. But that would probably still be a thing of the future at the moment. The Bigmax stand bags have some space at the top for a support on the trolley. But unfortunately these don't fit on mine.
I agree about the Titleist Players 5 bag. The problem is, the are not currently available to purchase because they’ve sold out and are on back order with Titleist until November 2023! Direct from Titleist. Dang!
Great review ! I just got new Titleist T100s irons and want to keep them for several years. Since I don’t carry a bag or a push cart I don’t want the T100s’s banged up, so I recently sold my Titleist Cart 15 bag which has 14 way dividers. These bang up the heads and with oversize grips it’s too tight pulling/putting the clubs. The OGIO stand bag looks great but out of these bags I would pick the Titleist players 5.
I've got the Ping Hoofer and I really rate it. It's not the lightest bag but it feels really robust, the straps are great and it has loads of pockets and hidden compartments.
An excellent review of the golf bag stands. I think your better off purchasing a waterproof bag. Although I'm retired, I still like to play golf in all weathers. Obviously not if its pouring with rain. Its just sensible to be able to keep things dry.
How are the legs? Had a cobra bag before and the legs swayed a lot when walking.. was very annoying and I promised myself to never get another one… But they look damn nice and the price is fair…
@@danielstyffe I really like the legs. They snap back in position nicely. The only things I don’t love are the stickiness of putting the clubs back in. But I think that’s the same for many good bags with durable lining. The other is the backpack straps. They are comfortable, but I think the ping and a few others were a tad bit more comfortable. I honestly settled on the Cobra because a friend had it and Cobra had them on sale and for the price it can’t be beat.
@@lloydranola might try it out then. I like how small it is. Playing a Bigmax Aqua Seven at the moment. I like it a lot but I’d like to go even smaller:)
I carry a lot (e.g. over 140 rounds last year) and imho these are all too heavy...would have been nice to see some of the lighter variations of these in the comparison.
I've had 2 Ogio bags when I carried a lot. Legs always got dinked up but functioned. If you have even slightly bigger grips they rub badly & oversized putter grip really bad. I like the woode top but doesn't give enough separation of clubs. All my clubs got rub spots on grips.
I have the Ohio bag, it’s good, like the magnetic opening for the glove/sunglasses pocket and ball pocket. But the slots for the irons are just terrible. They move around way too much. If they had a 14 way bag of the same version I’d definitely switch to it
Bought a big max in nov last year, allready worn out I would not recommend that product! bag itself became flimsy after couple of month, harness has flaked up. Still I would not recommend!
I don’t understand how people willingly choose bags with disgusting colorways like these. It’s the same disgusting colorways when buying bikes from Giant, Merida and Specialized FFS all I want is black, white, forest green…..but no, gotta settle for garish orange, red, teal 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
there are around 80 million golfers around the world, and guess what, some golfers might prefer colors other than black, white, and forest green 😏 and the same goes for bikes, so come out of your cave buddy

Had a sun mountain bag for 9 years now still good as new excellent quality use it as my winter bag totally waterproof definitely recommend
Loving the overdubbed "Wilson Exolite", really subtle 🤣
My titleist bag lasted 11 months. Material started to separate above a seam above back pad.

Thank for your comment sir. Saved myself the same mistake! Hope you find the right bag for you

Its good. The lack of full length dividers is the only thing steering me toward the TaylorMade

You left out the best, Cobra Puma golf is king at the moment.🎉

I have the 14 way and the clubs get tangled. I wish I got the non 14 way. I use my titleist Premium stand bag for riding all day though
@Enrique Diaz C. Exactly what I was gonna say. For such a good bag it's pretty weak they didn't put in full length dividers.
@jacobmccain8082 what a shame. I'd buy one right now if not for the divider nonsense
I have the BIG MAX bag and its absolutely fantastic.
Is the Ogio absolutely in the USA?

That was a weird edit every time you talked the Wilson bag 😂
Any love for the cobra? Have my eye on the plus model
I just bought a '22 model Callaway Fairway 14, $70 couldn't pass up.
How can you do a bag review without a Vessel..?
I have Benross , very good bag and great value.
I think the Cobra Ultralight stand bag is underrated.

You're only saying that because you own it. It's trash to be honest, feels very cheap.
I carry a lot (e.g. over 140 rounds last year) and imho these are all too heavy...would have been nice to see some of the lighter variations of these in the comparison.
I carry around 80 -100 rounds. But weight has never been the issue, probably carry too many balls too. Bag durability on the other hand has been.
Can you please make a video like this one but with with pencil/quiverbags?
Cobra?
Club tangle in the hoofer is horrific.
Amen
Have my stadry, best one for me
Sun mountain…. The only bag the zips don’t go on within a year
Vessel Players Stand 3. These others are ugly and the Ogio is dreadful.
Agree
Ogio and bigmax look horrific! Not enough info on the TaylorMade
I just brought the titlist players 4 bag
Anyone have the Ogio?
Yes but not the featured bag in the video

On my 5th review video of bags and not a single one actually shows the clubs and the use of the bags.
you didn't even put clubs in them ...
Don’t feel it’s necessary? We all know they can hold clubs, it’s about the quality of the bag. There’s no doubt they hold clubs just fine.
ingress and egress of clubs is one of the most important things about a bag.@@ThePwnasouras
You picked Titleist because it says Titleist
That Flextech bag you are showing is not the 2023 model. Not a great start to the creditability of your review.

FFS all I want is black, white, forest green…..but no, gotta settle for garish orange, red, teal 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Find a Callaway bag. I found one that is a gorgeous color way.

You list is flawed...you missed out The Best Bag in World: Hence, Vessle Golf.
Vessel is the best stand bag. None of this garbage
No
