    The thing with John Mayer is that he never seems to stop surprising me with his talent. I don’t think I ever will stop listening to him if I’m being honest.

      ​@RobertMJohnson hey, look, it's another guy who's massively jealous of JM and has no idea what he's talking about 😂 JM has had public affirmations from Eric Clapton, B.B King, Robert Cray.. the list goes on. Clapton went so far as to call him a "genius" and a "master guitar player."
      You don't get endorsements from some of the best guitarists of all time if you're as bad and non-influential as you say JM is. But hey, I guess we should listen to you, Mr. Keyboard Warrior? Tell us all about your accomplishments and how you've played the blues and rock to millions of people live. What's that? You haven't? Didn't think so. Cunt.

    You don't know what to watch...Steve and pino are so tight ...they push JM to another level...Clapton said.."I knew John was good... I didn't know he was like that "...he's so fun to watch...you hear a little bit of a lot of people in this ..stevie ray...albet king..linc wray...Billy gibbons...buddy guy....watching this makes people that don't play guitar want to learn...makes people that do play ....want to quit...

      Try also JD Simo with his band SIMO. JD also does hot country and a great clip is him and Daniel Donato doing 'Walking The Dog'. There also a couple clips of Simo with Tommy Emmanuel (on a 3 p/u Tele) play serious stuff.

    Musically speaking, he is becoming his generation's Mike Bloomfield (and is beginning to bear some resemblance). JM on a vintage Les Paul through a cranked Fender Twin Reverb would be interesting.

      6th fret g string, 5th high e. Slide quickly up from there to 7g 7e, then 9g 9e. Nice little major walk up

      It’s an ES335. A replica of Clapton’s during the Cream era. Gibson CS built 250 replica’s in 2005, and this is one of them :)
