  • Questions are being asked over the police handling of a fugitive cow in a Surrey residential street.
Disturbing footage shared on social media shows the 10-month-old calf, Beau Lucy, being rammed twice by a police car in Staines-upon-Thames on Friday night (14 June).
Surrey Police said the officer who was driving the car has been removed from frontline duties, pending the outcome of an investigation. The force has referred the matter to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
Thanks to UB1UB2 West London (Southall) @UB1UB2 on Twitter for filming the incident and uploading to Twitter where the screen grab of the incident was sourced.

Typical psychopathic behaviour from the police, dont expect any empathy for the suffering of people or animals. Sick!

The calf wasn't bothering anyone. Just strolling down the street minding it's own business.

How about calling a farmer or a vet ffs, I’m guessing there wasn’t a section on cow rustling in the police play book

Absolutely - Police could have used the cars to guide her into an alley, for example, to corral her, whilst a vet is contacted.
There are a lot of vids where US police are involved in cattle incidents an they handle it very differently.

It was a baby cow even a full size cow is not a problem they generally run away from people when scared some sociopath officer wanted to hurt the cow to get a kick or look cool if you have no empathy for an animal you definitely don't for a human victim of crime

Cow wasn’t injured, it was running at that person and likely had been running at others too.
Great control and containment from police in a scenario that demanded quick decision making.
Wonder what everyone would be saying if it trampled a kid and police stood around waiting for a vet.
