I put a GT500 exhaust onto my 5.0 with Texas speed headers and love it aswell. Not sure what the actual tone differences are but with the valves it makes the perfect daily setup
For being a "little" 5.0 liter, the Coyotes are inherently loud and raspy, especially with full exhaust. I had to put cats and a catback with center resonator (Krona) on mine to keep the overall volume down a little.

@@WickedgmcNice! In your opinion do you think the H pipe with kooks lt headers with cats sound pretty close to this x pipe version? Or is it slightly deeper of a tone?
@Topheroakes H is a bit deeper, like most of the "older" Mustangs. His with the X pipe almost has a GT350 tone. Honestly can't go wrong with either. Sometimes I prefer H pipe sometimes I think the X pipe would sound better. The X seems to have a more "exotic" sound
On the 350 if you leave it in normal the valves will auto open when you tip in at 60% throttle. They will then auto close once you lift. That lets you cruise and no one has any FREAKIN idea that is about to jet shouty. I have HJS 200 cell hi flow cats as well.
I went FBO with my '21 GT this spring and the sound paired with the performance spike while on E85 is god damn addicting. the 10R80 really shines with the 3.55 gearing and it's just a blast. So many compliments on the exhaust note (active exhaust paired with Steeda Hpipe and LTH w/ high flow cats).
