AHJ seems like such a down to earth dude in interviews like this. Just casually answering questions, doesn't seem like most musicians who are kind of pretentious.
Behind the Frusciante 1962 Strat this is the strat sound that most indie/ alt rock bands nowadays try to replicate. Albert is maybe the player that most people associate with the guitar since the year 2000.
Mac Demarco is pretty recognizable for his Strat too! But I definitely agree!
Jake Connelly always saw him with his Mustang or some vintage guitar, maybe a signature chorus pedal?
Fauthy Fernandez Mayer???
J T indie/alt rock
John is love. John is life
I need this Strat, Albert is one of my favorite players and i love his tone!!
any strat and tubescreamer will sound just like Is this it
heath Albert has a unique sound
get his strat or any strat
plug into a fender hotrod deville
get the jekyll and hyde
and maybe some other stuff and you have his sound
William Allison yes sir
No way, now they finally made him a signature guitar so now he has a signature guitar along with his mate Nick
Nick's is so hard to find : (
Finally, this is a long time coming
one of my fav guitarist ever
I've been listening to his solo stuff for a year and never realized he was THAT guitarist from the Strokes. I feel dumb
Albert Hammond has a signature now?? Damn They still gotta resissue the Nick Valensi Riviera I’ve always wanted
SpanishDandy there’s one on guitar center for $999
love this guitar
an underrated player
Albert exhibiting some good vibes made my day
YESSSSS AHGGG i was waiting for this a long time agoooo whooóooo
O cara tira um excelente timbre com os pedais e amps que ele tem, junto com essa Strat fica muito loko! I love these freaking guitar guy!
HOLY SHIT YOU GOT ALBERT HE’S LIKE MY FAVORITE GUITARIST THANK YOU.
I don't know guitar or bass lingo, I just came here to watch a recent video of Albert 😍
I see Johnny Marr's Lake Placid Blue Jaguar in the background, hopefully they release that color version.
You seem to be in luck. www.theguitarmagazine.com/news/summer-namm-2018-fender-announce-artist-signatures/
he's like a cross between Peter Buck & Jimmy Fallon..
cool music brother there
5:18 just found out about this Strat being a big strokes and abhj fan since I was 13 and have recently left a relationship of 3 years , I know he’s mainly talking about gear but I’m going to pretend it applies to me too Haha
Mi Ídolo.👽
Y'all gonna get to seeing the fender flea active jazz??
Yadda Yadda....we can read all about it. Just wanted to hear it!
Nice shirt
He has a great name. He should totally name his kid Albert Hammond jr jr jr jr
Mantap bang
He's exactly looking like his father in the 80s
Interviewer has got a microphone.
Interviewer asks a question to musician.
Interviewer does not speak in the microphone...
So we don't hear the guitar.
your never going to believe this but...it sounds like a strat!
AKW 1987 Thanks for the update, if only the video could have provided such fine detail. Ah well.
But does it sound white!!! Is what we all want to know. 😑
need this with nicks riviera
now his original he said was a japanese made guitar. His is made in Mexico isnt it instead of a custom shop one?
Is this Made in México? Cause I founded it saying Made in México
my guitar came to me with the strings too high
Is it a specification from Albert or did I get out of calibration?
You will need a set up to make it comfortable for you. Despite the price or brand, every new guitar needs setting up from factory. It most definitely wouldn't be a specification from Albert. Hope this helps!
he has the same voice of ted from how i met your mother lol
Lmao I can't unhear this 😂😂
What velvet underground song is he referring to at 5:27?
“I Found a Reason”
Good video! I looked very good. What do you think of Jimmy Hendrix? If you like my guitar and harmonica you will be happy.
NO WAY!! 😀
was hoping to hear a demo :/ lol
Not really familiar with his work, but a cool guitar. It has the features I like from the 70's, and I like the bridge decked anyway. I'm sure you could use the whammy bar if you wanted, just use one from a strat and take a couple springs out. It's also just a couple tweaks away from a Jeff Beck or a Ritchie Blackmore strat for less money! I like it. I'm gonna go check out some of his music now.
the strokes is his work
Fender should make a signature series for me
#respect
I think Albert got a lot of his tone from his hands. His right hand could’ve set a metronome.
Woah!! Fender made a white strat?!?!?!
That is a sexy fucking guitar
Where is it made?
Made in Mexico.
Mexico
literally what does this offer aside from switching that you can mod yourself anyway.
Those ceramic pickups have quite a different sound to them. I have a set in a 92 MIJ Strat. They seem to have a bit more bite vs regular Strat pickups.
Why using springs for a bridge without the whammy bar if you really want a hard tail strat?
Miguel Lopez maybe for tonal reasons since a hardtail does make a guitar sound pretty different compared to a whammy
The metal Trem block makes it sound different than a hard tail Strat.
I do the same on my partscaster Strat. The string tension and the sound is a little different than on a regular hardtail Stratocaster.
Miguel Lopez because this signature is a 'replica' of his actual guitar. his actual '85 reissue has a vibrato bridge but he doesn't use the whammy
For those on a budget, the MIJ Squier M serial Waynes World Strat...
Gee, wonder what it SOUNDS like.
Why can't Fender make a Phil Lynott signature bass!!??
David LaValley because the today’s kids don’t know that dude!
WELL THEY SHOULD
caplippi - Too bad, because he is a talented bassist and a great songwriter. Besides they did a Rory Gallagher strat and the kids today don't know him either...
Hot Rod Deville and his signature strat., its a wrap
Buy a coffee for the janitor at the FENDER factory and you get a signature guitar in your name .
a guitar review with no playing ??
about 17 years too late
Hot Rod Deville and his signature strat., its a wrap
