- I paid like $650 CAD for 8 Core 4GB RAM 64GB Flash honestly the unit is pretty fast and very responsive. Now the prices have came down a bit.
- no, I have left my car parked for weeks couple. And never had any issues with battery draining
- Sorry I don't have an iPhone, but the unit supports both Android auto and Wireless Apple CarPlay. I think for Apple Carplay all you need to do is connect bluetooth and then you're able to open carplay mode. The android auto didn't look that good in my experience, it doesn't fill out the whole screen 28:17

Ordered before the same unit but with 8gb 128gb for my gt500. Let see how it works there. Need then to mount a camera too since mine dont have it

I think I have the same, or very similar head unit. Three problems I identified which are pretty annoying:
1) radio is too loud. I guess it's the factory amplified plus the head unit amplifier making the sound amplified twice. No idea how to fix it.
2) the mic is shit. I bought and installed a separate mic, connected to the head unit with minijack. Still shit.
3) Google maps works slow. Gotta find some other navigation app, any suggestions?
1) 38:23 you can adjust "power conditioning" in the settings to reduce the volume the head unit puts out
2) yell louder 😂ahaha I have had taken calls with build in mic. But I have not experience the mic on the receiving end myself... Have you tried moving mic closer to your head? like mounting in the head liner perhaps?
3) 15:47 From my experience "Google Maps" is faster than Maps.me and Sigic... have you downloaded maps for off line use? 16:49

I would only recommend this unit if you only care about the unit being android based with wide range of apps support, Google Maps, VLC Player, Torque OBD, TrackAddict by HP Tuner, ect, or wireless Apple CarPlay with a Big Screen. These features make this unit worth it, IMO. If I didn't care about the apps, I would have chosen Dynavin N8 unit. Despite aliexpress unit having a bigger screen, I think Dynavin N8 looks better and functions better too, from looking at reviews. I've never used Dynavin units myself.
Are android apps important to you or do you use Apple CarPlay?
Also I don't have steering wheel volume buttons, but I've heard that they would work with this unit. As steering wheel buttons send a can-bus code and this unit is make to function over can-bus.
Do the radio buttons light up in the dark like the stock ones?
sorry forgot to reply earlier 😅 yes the radio buttons are backlit, BUT they are backlit in white not blue unlike the rest of the Ford Interior backlight color

One time Bluetooth stopped working, 2 weeks I drove without it. then the unit fixed itself and bluetooth started working again 😮
when Bluetooth didn't work I was trying to fix it by rebooting many times and even did factory reset and still didn't fix the issue, until the issue fixed itself.
