I've got more respect for him than I do any other PEDer just for the way the acted after he was caught. I was reading an interview and he talked about was how ashamed his father was of him for cheating, he told him you shouldn't be playing if you need to take drugs to do it. His dad seemed like one of those old guys who had been working full time since he was 12 and never complained. He owned a fruit stand or something. You could tell that his dad's disappointment was worse than any suspension from the MLB.
His dad also talked about how Bartolo used to have a pet donkey he used to deliver fruit as a kid. I'd pay money to see Bartolo and that donkey.

At one point when he was already an established player, he was traded for three minor league prospects who eventually developed into star players. One of them, Cliff Lee, is definitely retired now. Another one, Grady Sizemore, may also be retired. The third one, Brandon Phillips, was a free agent who hadn't latched on with another team yet the last time I checked and may be done now, too. Yet Colon plays on!

I still cannot believe that Colon actually hit a home run in the majors. Since he signed with the Mets, I watched almost every start of his. He is probably the funniest guy in the majors. Now, I thought with the way he swings, he never wpuld come close to going yard. I thought I would have a better chance of doing it over him. And I'm a scrawny 5'6, 18 year old kid that weighs 150 pounds. And he did it in one of the biggest park in the MLB. #Colonforever.

  • @LeonelBerroaPagán

As a born, raised and currently living the Dominican Republic I can tell Bartolo is authentically Dominican and haven’t change that for nothing, he's the dancing merengue and bachata, beers and celebration, eating sancocho and playing domino uncle all Dominicans have and I believe that’s the reason he runs with his bat to first base, he knows there’s no way he will get there first, so throwing the bat for one of his nephews (bat-boys) or someone else to pick it up just doesn’t match his heart. Do you think he’s really aware of how big he is? And I’m not talking about his belly size, I don’t think he does, he’s just having fun and playing baseball on a Friday night and getting paid for it! He’s putting food over the table for doing something I think he would do for free while making people smile and warming anybody’s heart with that laid back funny uncle attitude.

Bartolo Colon is the greatest player that Major League Baseball has ever seen. He is better than Ted Williams, Ruth, Maris, and Rose combined. He paints corners better than Maddux, and throws harder than Chapman. Colon is a first ballot hall of famer. Colon is actually the second coming of Christ. Everyday, I pray to Lord Bartolo at least 14 times a day, any who say he is anything less than God is doomed for eternity in Hell

Way back when Bartolo was with the Angels, my 10 year old daughter and I attended a Red Sox blowout. She trash talked so many Beantown fans that a whole bunch of 'em left by the seventh inning.
