He’s from the same province I’m from in DR, I know him personally since I was little. This guy is genuine, helps everyone. Funny as hell and very humble.
He has to go into the Hall of Fame just for being Big Sexy. Don't care if he got busted for P.E.D.'s, no other fat man has been able to do what he has done. And he is also the GOAT.
I've got more respect for him than I do any other PEDer just for the way the acted after he was caught. I was reading an interview and he talked about was how ashamed his father was of him for cheating, he told him you shouldn't be playing if you need to take drugs to do it. His dad seemed like one of those old guys who had been working full time since he was 12 and never complained. He owned a fruit stand or something. You could tell that his dad's disappointment was worse than any suspension from the MLB. His dad also talked about how Bartolo used to have a pet donkey he used to deliver fruit as a kid. I'd pay money to see Bartolo and that donkey.
My son and I were watching the game in which he hit his home run. An amazing thing to watch, and seeing it live, as it happened, was a rare treat we'll never forget and always treasure.
Colon is just that lovable guy that you can't help but absolutely love and cheer your heart out for him when he hits the ball or does something extraordinary to him. Lolz.
"What is your favorite Bartolo Colon monent?" Any moment with Bartolo Colon is my favorite Bartolo moment. Bartolo drinking coffee is my favorite Bartolo moment.
Dude! I like baseball, always have, but I ain't really what you'd call a "Fan". My first time, EVER....seeing this man play. What can I say. I LOVE HIS STYLE!! His talent is unique, and his charisma a beacon of sportsmanship. I'm so glad I found this video!! 👍👍👍
At one point when he was already an established player, he was traded for three minor league prospects who eventually developed into star players. One of them, Cliff Lee, is definitely retired now. Another one, Grady Sizemore, may also be retired. The third one, Brandon Phillips, was a free agent who hadn't latched on with another team yet the last time I checked and may be done now, too. Yet Colon plays on!
Bartolo is really underrated honestly he used to be a beast in the late 90s and early 2000s and hey you gotta be pretty good to still be playing in your mid 40's
I still cannot believe that Colon actually hit a home run in the majors. Since he signed with the Mets, I watched almost every start of his. He is probably the funniest guy in the majors. Now, I thought with the way he swings, he never wpuld come close to going yard. I thought I would have a better chance of doing it over him. And I'm a scrawny 5'6, 18 year old kid that weighs 150 pounds. And he did it in one of the biggest park in the MLB. #Colonforever.
Zack Haselius like the announcer said. It was clear he has the strength to do it if he connects with one, but the issue is he needs to connect with one. Lol
Koenigsegg Agera I dont say all people 150 lbs are scrawny. I'm saying about me because of my family. They all say I'm scrawny and I guess I have just adobted it.
As a born, raised and currently living the Dominican Republic I can tell Bartolo is authentically Dominican and haven’t change that for nothing, he's the dancing merengue and bachata, beers and celebration, eating sancocho and playing domino uncle all Dominicans have and I believe that’s the reason he runs with his bat to first base, he knows there’s no way he will get there first, so throwing the bat for one of his nephews (bat-boys) or someone else to pick it up just doesn’t match his heart. Do you think he’s really aware of how big he is? And I’m not talking about his belly size, I don’t think he does, he’s just having fun and playing baseball on a Friday night and getting paid for it! He’s putting food over the table for doing something I think he would do for free while making people smile and warming anybody’s heart with that laid back funny uncle attitude.
I haven't bothered to even care about baseball, our situation is so serious here in the pandemic, but I immediately watched this. That's what I think of Bartolo Colon
Living in Texas and watching the Rangers, it is a joy for me to get to watch Bartolo pitch. You can tell he loves the game and just enjoys being out on the field. There will never be another one like him
i watched the home run live on tv at home, and i've never been so pumped/thrilled at a sports moment than that moment. i couldn't even tell you if the Mets won that game as it didn't even matter, now or then, lol.
Bart was only a Met for a few years but he played with such a carefree and happy attitude, and played so well, that he will be long remembered at Citi Field. The home run is one of the happiest non-playoff moments in Mets history.
Bartolo Colon is the greatest player that Major League Baseball has ever seen. He is better than Ted Williams, Ruth, Maris, and Rose combined. He paints corners better than Maddux, and throws harder than Chapman. Colon is a first ballot hall of famer. Colon is actually the second coming of Christ. Everyday, I pray to Lord Bartolo at least 14 times a day, any who say he is anything less than God is doomed for eternity in Hell
Bartolo is a born entertainer. I cant think of another ball player in living memory who was worth the price of admission in anything like the same way Colon is. It'll be a truly sad day when (or is it if?) he retires from the game.
He was known as "Cookie Monster" when he was with the White Sox. He was well liked in the dugout by his teammates wherever he played. He looked like he really enjoyed the game. An old man but still a kid at heart.
It's his little smirk that kills me. Every time he does it, it's like he's saying "I'm just a chubby little Latino who eats frijoles all day, but I'm making millions of dollars to throw a ball"
I remember Jeff Bagwell laughing as he walked away from the plate after being struck out, knowing that there was nothing that he or his teammates could do against Bartolo on that particular day. Bartolo ended up with 14 strikeouts. His fastball movement was absolutely brutal. Go Tribe!
I am a Padres fan from birth. I was not at that game, because I am a truck driver, and I was on the road. however when I saw the replays I was glad it happened in San Diego, if it couldn't happen in New York.
He deserves to know all 600 responses! I am tossed between the Homerun and behind the back play, which I saw on TV that time! I am not sure about the Homerun, but seen most replays many times
The weirdest thing about Colon is when I first moved to Washington in 2000, a friend gave me tickets to a Mariners-Indians game. Cleveland sent its young, athletic flamethrower Bartolo Colon to the mound. That day you would never have foreseen him turning into a beloved fat guy later in his career.
The only thing that would have topped his home run is if he’d gotten 6 more outs in his first Sunday Night Baseball game this season against the Astros. Won a fantastic pitching duel with Justin Verlander, and didn’t allow a hit until the 8th
Way back when Bartolo was with the Angels, my 10 year old daughter and I attended a Red Sox blowout. She trash talked so many Beantown fans that a whole bunch of 'em left by the seventh inning.
When Colon was sliding and fell, he looked the same way that runway models look just before they fall on the runway the their feet start swaying side to side. LOL !!!
back in 2005, colon won his 20th game of the season to become the first 20 game winner since nolan ryan last did in 1987.. he won the cy young award that year

Lol he's almost as old as Cuzzi
When you're not playing for stats. When you're not playing for endorsements. You're playing to have fun. You're playing like Bartolo Colon.
Imagine being the pitcher to give up a homerun to Bartolo Colon lmao
It was James Shields, FYI. #33 for the Padres.
TopBaseball i mean he’s a pro either way you look at it
Legend has it he still hasn’t slept to this day
TopBaseball James shields the man who pitched for the royals in the 2014 world series
TopBaseball Most likely gave James Shields suicidal depression
Get Colon out of the AL, let him swing a bat again
or let him bat. The DH is not required
David Grey yes come back home Big Sexy
Andrew Leo he'll ya u got that damn straight my man
the DH is a gimmick
Probably put him there cuz he’s not that good at hitting but I agree with you
People forget he was skinny and the best pitcher in the AL for about 2 years.
AJ P fax
With the Indians!
He was 185 when he first entered the league, now he tips about 275+ on the scale. Colon still flashes his athletic abilities though.
Yep with the Indians and expos than he started gaining weight
Two Cy Young Awards in his trophy case, so best AL pitcher, yeah.
I feel like everybody likes Bartolo Colon
ding ding ding
Not me
@@anteckz7648 keep telling yourself that
MyContentIsTrash to be honest I am more of an Adrian Beltre type of guy
Some people do not like players that use steroids
He’s from the same province I’m from in DR, I know him personally since I was little. This guy is genuine, helps everyone. Funny as hell and very humble.
I just love how he seems to have so much fun out on the field. That flip behind the back to first base is awesome.
YES! He really seems to enjoy playing baseball - and it’s infectious, just watching him makes you smile, with him not at him.
Im a Yankees fan but that HR was easily one of the greatest moments ive ever seen
I'm a Yankee fan as well and I almost confused him with Jeremy Brown of the Visalia Oaks going around the bases after a homer.
You know those people who never studied but still ace a test? That's colon, he 's like a great lazy player lol
pride893 exactly, and he knows it... You can see it in his smirk
Don't hate on big sexy
What? It's not hating on him I'm speaking the truth lol he's actually one of my favorites of all time.
He actually is in pretty good shape he works out a lot (not weights but with cardio) but it just doesn't show
I never study for test and always do good
We honestly don't deserve Bartolo Colon.
My Fav: He threw 8 no hit innings to the current 18' Houston Champions. Amazing!
I know this comment was before the scandal, but cheating champions*
Did they cheat at the time.
Houston cheated and this legend still threw at them 8 no hit innings. This man can't be beaten
Not known for his fielding?? He's one of the greatest fielding pitchers who's ever played the game!!
Colon, one of the most interesting players EVER !! 1st career HR at 42? Simply astounding.......
@trollgod Home Run...
The last remaining former Expos player... *sniff....
dezy?
I wasn't sure. But thanks for letting me know.
Yup the last of out 'spos
Hey, just go hammer a CYMBAL or something
Actually Ian Desmond (who was LITERALLY the last Expos draft pick) is still alive and active in MLB
Ron Darling. “It’s like he doesn’t want to hurt the bag”. 😂
Gotta do a top 10 Adrian Beltre moments now. The man is hilarious
He has to go into the Hall of Fame just for being Big Sexy. Don't care if he got busted for P.E.D.'s, no other fat man has been able to do what he has done. And he is also the GOAT.
Andrew Winslow he gives guys like me a chance easilyb
I've got more respect for him than I do any other PEDer just for the way the acted after he was caught. he should go in for being such a fan favorite
HE DID NOT USED STEROIDS.... HE HAD A LEGAL TREATMENT OF STEM CELLS...
Lmao 😂
My son and I were watching the game in which he hit his home run. An amazing thing to watch, and seeing it live, as it happened, was a rare treat we'll never forget and always treasure.
How is this man so underrated? He should be known by everybody; he is mythical.
Favorite B.C. moment: the behind the back play.... you will never see that again with such gusto!
I have been a mets fan my whole life and he was one of my favorite mets to watch. I miss him😭😭😭😭
The Bart years with the Mets were fun years. And he wasn’t just a clown, the guy could pitch!!
Colon, Beltre and Votto...we can't have enough guys like them in MLB.
Colon is just that lovable guy that you can't help but absolutely love and cheer your heart out for him when he hits the ball or does something extraordinary to him. Lolz.
His first homerun is so fun to watch. You couldn't help but liking and rooting for him. He was also a very dominant pitcher for most of his career.
"What is your favorite Bartolo Colon monent?" Any moment with Bartolo Colon is my favorite Bartolo moment. Bartolo drinking coffee is my favorite Bartolo moment.
Him taking a dump and having a wank
Dude! I like baseball, always have, but I ain't really what you'd call a "Fan". My first time, EVER....seeing this man play. What can I say. I LOVE HIS STYLE!! His talent is unique, and his charisma a beacon of sportsmanship. I'm so glad I found this video!! 👍👍👍

rslitman Cliff Lee was a stud while he lasted
YOSHI YO Sizemore was too
Bartolo is really underrated honestly he used to be a beast in the late 90s and early 2000s and hey you gotta be pretty good to still be playing in your mid 40's
Nothing better to do on a coronavirus infested Saturday night than to watch Bartolo Colon highlights.
Top 10 players who NEVER should have left there team (Chris Johnson, titans)
Elijah Rios yes that would be cool
KD is a snake
Bartolo Colon : Indians
Lol
Koenigsegg Agera if you saw me in real life youd expect me to be bigger because my camily is natoriusly "big boned". I'm the exception.
Koenigsegg Agera I dont say all people 150 lbs are scrawny. I'm saying about me because of my family. They all say I'm scrawny and I guess I have just adobted it.
Did you ever get to see him in BP? I read somewhere that his old teammates were saying that he hits dingers all the time when he does BP
How can anyone not like Bartolo Colon? He's like a big jolly and cuddly teddy bear that you just want to hug.
Bartolo is a God
Rydawg 26 yea
Exactly.
Ur a cubs fan I’m a cardinals fan we don’t agree on much but I can agree on this
Jep... Buddha 😏
Your wife says he's a god too of Sausage.
There will never be another one like him
Bartolo Colon. Where fantasy becomes reality.
So few guys can actually bring an element of JOY to their profession.. That reaction to his homerun just warms my heart.
Him taking the line driver to the gut and still getting the out. Given that happened when this video was probably being edited.
i watched the home run live on tv at home, and i've never been so pumped/thrilled at a sports moment than that moment. i couldn't even tell you if the Mets won that game as it didn't even matter, now or then, lol.
I don't watch baseball but I love watching his highlights. Colon is the man 👌
Bart was only a Met for a few years but he played with such a carefree and happy attitude, and played so well, that he will be long remembered at Citi Field. The home run is one of the happiest non-playoff moments in Mets history.

Well said. Agreed.
Thank you Jacob for that amazing speech (no sarcasm intended)
Tru
Mind you, I'm a giants fan but Barolo is easily my favorite player
Brett Klawonn great but what about Bartolo
The aHomerun and the throw behind the back 🔥💪🏼
Hes really one of the best to watch.... everybody loves him.
You can tell that he just really enjoys the game of baseball. Fun to watch him!
Bartolo is a great pitcher ,but it is his personality and the way he seems to just be having fun that sets him apart from the rest
Awesome compilation
Bartolo and Beltre will live forever. I enjoyed the few months we had him in Atlanta. Great times
That 100+ MPH comebacker that hit him in the gut that he no sold recently would have made the list.
It's his little smirk that kills me. Every time he does it, it's like he's saying "I'm just a chubby little Latino who eats frijoles all day, but I'm making millions of dollars to throw a ball"
Bartolo is an excellent runner given his weight. I would not underestimate him.✌
I remember Jeff Bagwell laughing as he walked away from the plate after being struck out, knowing that there was nothing that he or his teammates could do against Bartolo on that particular day. Bartolo ended up with 14 strikeouts. His fastball movement was absolutely brutal. Go Tribe!
Never really appreciated him until he got to the Mets, where he became an instant fan fave. I saw all of those Mets clips live...so much fun!
Wish I could give 1,000,000 likes! Bartolo deserves it.
C'mon...gotta admit...that behind the back to first play was BADASS!!!
Top 10 teams that dominated the regular season but failed to win a ship (2016 warriors, 2001 mariners, 18-1 pats)
If you don't love Bartolo Colon just a little, you are dead inside.
I love the fact that the san diego padre fans were excited for him for him when he hit his homer
That Dee Gordon race was pretty damn impressive.
This Mets fan LOVED what he gave us in entertainment and some great pitching. My favorite was the behind the back throw to first base.
Idk much about baseball but I know Colon is one helluva legend
Swing for the fences. He was on the Sox and put himself on the DL with a wild swing. I was bummed, I love Bartolo! Great video
Mad respect
I hope he can hit 25 year career
I am a Padres fan from birth. I was not at that game, because I am a truck driver, and I was on the road. however when I saw the replays I was glad it happened in San Diego, if it couldn't happen in New York.
He deserves to know all 600 responses! I am tossed between the Homerun and behind the back play, which I saw on TV that time! I am not sure about the Homerun, but seen most replays many times
He is the R truth of baseball. You can’t hate this guy.
Just love to watch Bartolo Colon play ball! Very interesting! Great plays as well!
He’s a freak of nature. No mere mortal could surpass him
The weirdest thing about Colon is when I first moved to Washington in 2000, a friend gave me tickets to a Mariners-Indians game. Cleveland sent its young, athletic flamethrower Bartolo Colon to the mound. That day you would never have foreseen him turning into a beloved fat guy later in his career.
1:08 I didn't know Kermit the Frog was a baseball announcer!
Highlights: good.
Commentary: bad.
10 teams that won a championship but fell apart the season after
Ravens
Giants
2003 Marlins
The buccaneers
1997 Marilns
His home run ball is probably the most prized possession of the person who caught it. Imagine, there is just one in existence.
Bartolo Colon's greatest moment was his first career home run at age 42. Another great moment was his behind the back throw to first base.
The only thing that would have topped his home run is if he’d gotten 6 more outs in his first Sunday Night Baseball game this season against the Astros. Won a fantastic pitching duel with Justin Verlander, and didn’t allow a hit until the 8th
Him winning the cy young award is my favorite moment
Baseball needs Colon pitching this year
It could have been
NYM: -400 points
SD: 200 points
Bartolo gets a homerun. *Standing Ovation*
I'm Aussie and have no idea what is going on but I just like this Colon guy
Chuckin Children Well to us Americans he is the sexiest human being to walk the face of the Earth. He is a god. Man should fear big Bart.
this man is amazing every year they say he can't and yet every year he does.
The best part is the awkward smile he has on his face after every play.
Great video!
i mean bartolo runs w the bat bc he knows he won't make it to first
Way back when Bartolo was with the Angels, my 10 year old daughter and I attended a Red Sox blowout. She trash talked so many Beantown fans that a whole bunch of 'em left by the seventh inning.
Bartolo Colon is a one in a generation player.
How can you not love this guy..
When Bartolo Slipped it looked like Dustin May lol That guy did.
Great video. I know him personally he is a great, humble human being. Thx for the top 10
I'm glad he got to play in NY with the Mets. He's certainly an entertaining individual.
When Colon was sliding and fell, he looked the same way that runway models look just before they fall on the runway the their feet start swaying side to side. LOL !!!
back in 2005, colon won his 20th game of the season to become the first 20 game winner since nolan ryan last did in 1987.. he won the cy young award that year
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!
When Pulos pulled out Bart's jersey. ..hah!
I was glad you included the behind the back toss. That's my favorite.....or maybe the homer
