Pingy is great, like really good, but he is no pro. Being good at Warzone and dominating the Australian servers does not mean you will be good against people in the European and North American servers, places where real pros are usually dominant over any other server region.

If you only have 1 or 2, stay back by bases you own and near your teammates. Don't push, cause then you'd get killed easier. If you're by a base where your transfer ate spawning, then they could help out if enemies start to get close.
Chuck on wheelman, get a friend in the gunner seat and hope for the best :)
