My rarest LPS is probably my authentic DS Exclusive Calico Collie from the LPS: Friends Beach game, got it at a good price but I’ve seen it go for a lot near the 100s and in the $100 range at times.

I love the gen 2 lps, one of the reasons I hate being born in 2007, because while I was busy being a clueless toddler. The authentic gen 2 lps were all being popular and stuff. I've been a collector ever since I found out lps was a thing. And one of my worse losses was when I was little I had this authentic red and tan German shepered I traded for a brown dog that had the soft or furry texture to it. I miss it so muchTvT have a good day to who ever actually read this

Same, i'm 15 and by the time I became interested the horror of g3 was in full force... it's fine though because at the time at least where i lived in the mid-2010s g2 LPS were still available in stores and at flea markets. And I was lucky enough to have the Mcdonalds g2 LPS beforehand.
I was too busy being a tween so i also missed out on gen 2 ahaha :(

My rarest LPS is my authentic LPS #391! She is the Egyptian shorthair :)
I received her as a gift from my dad, who spent $75 on her. She is in amazing condition! She is really unique too, her nose is lighter than the original pet. I don’t know if it is because the paint wore off, but it doesn’t matter if it was because it’s so beautiful on her :)
The seller was so kind, I got a laminated note from her! I remember what the note said, I wish I could find the note! The kitty’s name was Violet, and the seller played with her all the time. She told me that she loved to take Violet on car rides with her, and Violet would sing along with the radio. It warmed my heart, I teared up, and I was so happy that the seller decided to share her childhood memories with me. Violet is sitting on my desk, along with her new friends💜💜💜

I collected these as a kid when they came out around the mid to late 00’s. Every week when I completed my chores and did good in school I would get to go to Target and pick one out and they accumulated in a big bucket over time. Got the play sets and everything too! I also remember filling out some sort of punch card for an exclusive octopus one that you could only get sent to you in the mail. Had to sell them many years ago but I kinda wish I hadn’t 😅 I cherished those little toys ❤️ It’s nice to see people appreciating them now
I remember collecting stickers for the exclusive LPS too! I wanted the Cheetah so bad and it made my day when I received it in the mail lol. I still remember that I named it Leo 😂

Yeah it’s crazy I remember 10 years ago The prices for LPS were not nearly as expensive as they are now. I’ve seen some LPS collectors spend hundreds of dollars on a single pet. It’s just insane to me like a little pet shop that probably retiled for less than five dollars is now on eBay for $400. It’s just insane. The most expensive little pet shop that I own is probably the licensing show turtle however, it’s not in the box so it’s not worth as much. I got it a convention a few years ago for a really good price and I’m not sure how much it would go for out of the box but yeah, I heard that the licensing show turtle inbox goes around $1000 on eBay and only a couple of them have ever even been sold on eBay because they only ever made around 400 of them supposedly. Another pet that I own that is really expensive now is the red collie. I think the main reason why it’s so expensive is because first of all it’s a main five pet second it’s a really cute design and the pet was actually featured on LPS popular which was a really popular LPS series that a lot of people have nostalgia for. I originally bought her off of eBay over 10 years ago for only $20 which at the time felt like a lot of money to spend on a single LPS but now she’s worth 10 times that if you have it in good condition it goes for around $100-$150. I’ve even seen some people list her for 200 it’s just insane for a little plastic toy, that is 2 inches tall

Well, majority of my LPS were my sister’s and she collected them back when they were sold in stores. The ones that I did buy weren’t a lot and honestly I don’t remember the price. Some were presents so ask my parents.

I spent $400 on a lot earlier this year. It was definitely worth it, there were quite a few hard-to-find and/or highly sought after pets in it.
Its cool to see how treasured these toys still are, I wish I still had mine, I only really played with them when they were popular back when I was like 8-10 (im 22 now for reference) I was in 4th grade and I remember me and other kids trading these around at school, then they got banned
I even stole some from my tutors classroom as a kid, I was terribly greedy with them and I feel bad now lmao

I used to have that sticker-eyed collie. The one with tan on its head, not brown. At one point in time, when I was younger, I traded some little kid on my bus some homemade (really just home-painted) Christmas ornaments for a lot of her LPS, and the sticker-eyed collie was one of them.
But, me veing as dumb as I was as a kid, of course I customized it. Then traded it to my cousin for I think the postcard great dane, because she believed she could clean up the collie. Spoiler alert: she couldn't, and I think it stayed in horrible condition all the way up until she sold all her pets on eBay.

LPS 272 is so expensive because be came in a tube that was exclusive to the store, Limited Too! And they went out of business soon after his release, so there weren’t too many of them made. I guess him being the collie made him the most sought after of the tube.
My rarest most expensive lps is an authentic Savannah Reed, Sage, Tom, and Brooke. Savannah was $40, Sage was $35, and Tom was $25.

Just started getting into collecting Disney pins again (did as a child) and thought about how much I loved LPS too. This is the first video that popped up for me and I am bashing my head in the table after seeing the motion cat in this video. I had that thing and was obsessed with it. Unfortunately my father got rid of all of my toys without asking me one day, yes, everything. Nothing left. I was too scared to get back into collecting Disney pins and LPS again but now I am strong enough to handle it, thank you for the video!!
Honestly my least expensive authentic pet was #339 ( Brook Hayes ) I'm pretty sure I got her for 12$ Anyways, I still cherish my 'fakes' because they still played a big part in my childhood. They were still 'authentic' to my eyes for what they resembled.
I also got #339 for $10 at a antique shop

The most I spent on a lps was for 909. For her I spent like $170. The second pet was 272 and I only paid $85 for him.

Story time:
I went to a store named Savers (similar to Goodwill) I saw the biggest Lps house! Sadly it didn’t come with any lps. I could have had rare pets if it did!
I had some of these when I was little!! I came across this video because I was showing my daughter the LPS toys I used to have. They were really popular when I was in 3rd grade I’m 24 now. Once I got older I thought I was “too old” for them so I sold them at a yard sale!! I had the Toys R Us exclusive set you mentioned and some other ones you mentioned. I WISH I NEVER WOULD HAVE SOLD THEM!!!
When I was very young, my cousin gave me some lps and I LOVED them! There were so many good memories and I had this favorite one, it was a cat. But I don’t know who it is! I don’t have my lps anymore but I think it’s cool to learn about them.

I got rid of the majority of my LPS when I grew out of playing with them and gave them to my cousins who were more in the age range. I never owned any of these ones mentioned but I also don't know that I would have ever guessed that any of them could be rare like that.

I was really lucky to stumble across a listing selling around 150 pets for $300 about a year ago. Of course I bought it... rip my wallet, but guess what? It included the rare yellow lps collie! Even though I didn’t have one already (I try to only collect cats to prevent big expenditures) I quickly sold that sucker on eBay and was able to make back half of what I paid for the whole lot! Hallelujah!

This video just saved us from buying what was likely a knockoff of that blond border collie. We saw a listing of it with a bunch of other ‘authentic’ Big 5 pets that showed two of the collie’s red magnets. But then saw that the same seller had tons of listings featuring the exact same dog, none of which showing if it has a magnet or peg. Thanks for saving our wallet!
...Now to find a hopefully decent priced one of that same collie, we fell in love with his colors and now he’s our dream pet...

I’m fairly certain 272 was exclusive to a store (I forget the name) that closed down not too long after he was released. So although store exclusives are usually only uncommon, he is rarer than them because the closing of the store was the end of 272 sales. I could be totally wrong so don’t quote me on that but that’s what I’ve heard💀
Also- the New Zealand Lion has two versions (you can see the two different kinds of eyes) and the one with the light green almost whiteish is the variant which is even more expensive than the original!!

I actually got lps 675 off of eBay over a decade ago with the full set that she originally came with and all of the accessories. I believe I got it from someone who had no idea what it was worth because I only paid 20 dollars for the set which now goes for around $200-$300 if you have all of the pieces which I do. Also, they’re in mint condition, and I’ve been keeping them in a Ziploc bag in a box for like the past 10 years, so they have basically no scratch marks on them or anything. Also, it’s just crazy how expensive LPS are now like for example, LPS 675. I remember before I got her I was when I was little I would go on eBay and scroll and look through all the listings. Most of them were between $10-$20 for LPS 675 and now she’s worth over 100 it’s crazy.
