I like what Robbie said about trusting he will be there to catch you. Reminds me of when my boyfriend and I got stuck in an elevator and we made it to the basement but had only a crawlspace to get out of the elevator. It was a jump down to where the basement was, in an opening the parking garage. I had never really thought about having to trust someone to catch me, but I jumped right into his arms and he caught me and told me we were fine and everything was alright and made sure I was okay. I hope everyone finds that trust and know that no matter what, they're gonna catch you.... even if it just breaks their fall.
Just now...11/22/2018 Thanksgiving...I celebrated it by watching him in An American in Paris: The Musical on PBS Demand...HE WAS AND IS GORGEOUS................OH MY GOD
She was so sweet describing her dancing with him and then he goes and does this 0:38 It was obvious he wasnt into her, no surprise he left her for a man.
This is so terribly sad in retrospect. They were meant to be together. Then they were in different shows in different hemispheres. Wish I knew what actually happened to this lovely couple, but Robert Fairchild has gone off on his own, having left City Ballet.

Robert left her for a man, his understudy. Feel so sorry for her.
Wait really?
Yes. Robert is in a relationship with Ashley (male) Day now--his understudy from An American in Paris.
Go figure!
I love this series. Thank you NYT.
Ahh they are just too much!! Too beautiful ❤️ and all I can think about is "The Man I Love" and An American in Paris. Meant to be!
They divorced when he fell in love with his male understudy.

The ballet is Christopher Wheeldon's "A Place for Us." The music was composed by Leonard Bernstein and Andre Previn.
TheFilib69 George Balanchine , “ “Who Cares” .
The score is all George Gershwin .
Susan Horan This is not A Wheldon ballet.
I feel bad for them

He cheated on her with a man. Thats far from being meant to be together
It sounds like he finally embraced his sexuality. I hope they're still friends at least.
This didn’t age well
Now their divorced, sad
Didn't age well.
