I was in search of a tractor with the grapples on the front for moving logs to my sawmill, I priced the JD, the Kioti, and the Kubota, all in the same HP range, for the money the Kioti with all the extras I got was just barely more than the other 2 with no extra attachments. Ive had it for a year zero issues. now I need/want a new mower due to the current mower being 20 years old. I'm seriously leaning towards the Kioti due to the price and fact that the tractor has had zero issues. the price difference is one thing but the other manufacturers seem to be cutting way to many corners. making shit cheap and selling it for a LOT. Thanks for the honest review.
I bought a zxc 60" 3 years ago now, the Briggs in it up and grenaded at 65 hours for zero reason. Dealer gave me a demo unit for 7 weeks while they waited for it to be warranteed and so I'm thoroughly happy with my dealer at least. I felt like my turf tires had absolute garbage for traction so I put medium aggressive golf cart tires on it and it's way better. The gas caps yup, they suck. And filling it yes the same here. No issues with the handles, but I have cleaned out a little debris in those nooks from time to time that kinda hangs up. For the money, it's worth it. Great video!
I use a Ferris zero turn at work. I don’t have issues with the fuel cap. My issue is the gas gauges don’t work anymore so it’s a guessing game when your running low. Hate that. I also hate the fact that the parking break has to be applied by hand not foot. Especially when I have been on a hill and could use a foot break at times. And just like yours it’s always a pain to change blades . Basically everything you pointed out is about the same issues with the Ferris we have. But it’s 12 years old with a 37 hp Kawasaki. It is a beast and doesn’t bog down so that I love about it . But I really like how your discharge shoot can stay up without a bungee. (We have to use one and it’s a pain) great video showing pros and cons and how to correct issues. As always you keep us laughing with your off the cuff humor 😂
Awesome Viedo as always... Please read this Spicer... We all do unsafe things and I dont want to preach to you. A guy I knew when I was a kid, I found out years later that he was mowing with his tractor and a Brush Hog and some wire got wrapped around the blade spindle. So he raised it with his 3 point which is how it is attached, propped a post to help with safety and help hold it and was under it with the tractor off. The post gave way. They found him hours later and the Hydraulics dropped and the deck fell on him and he had been trapped. He was dead. Sad. He owned some Supermarkets for years in the area up till this happened.
That’s awful. Ya you really cant trust anything mechanical like that. Its definitely not the safest way. Maybe a chain fall or an automotive jack. I guess theres always a chance for failure. I read all the comments and I appreciate the insight.
Great Video! I have the same mower but with the Kawasaki! I agree the fuel caps are a pain. I ran one dry that tank had a vacumm when i opened it! I wish the two tanks could equalize. I have the same problem with one of the control arms sticking. My deck seems to chatter up and down over rough ground whic I don't like. This is my first zero turn and first season with it. Pretty happy I thought about a kubota as I own a B3200 but went with the Kioti. Not disapointed with it. Build quality is what sold me!
The bypass i installed is working. They dont equalize but if both tanks were full it should draw from the lm equally. I like it anyways. Ya they are tanks.
I’ve had the 54” for a couple of year and except for having to replace the main control module(where you start the machine) it’s ran well and cuts great. As far as changing the blades there’s lawn mower lifts that you can set your front wheels on and then Jack up the front to an easy height to get under. There’s also safety locks on them to keep from dropping. Should be able to pick one up for less than 200 bucks
The prison comment got me! Ha. Obsessed? I would maybe classify it as in love, infatuated, or just down right turned on for my Hopper! 😂 Some good "machine" comments in here for your 10 min compilation video of you just saying "machine"
Hold on there shootsy-wootsy. I would bet tanks are vacuum pumped to engine via supply fittings on top of tank with drop line into tank. If you install the tee fitting, gas will be drawn from the least restrictive tank. In turn will empty that tank and not draw from other because…it’s easier to pump (in this case suck) air than water. The fuel selector valve isolates each tanks supply line to negate this problem.
Ya im with you there. I was thinking they came from the bottom. Im likely going to be switching it back. Once that tanks empty and starts sucking air im screwed. Thanks for the confirmation.
Someone right now is getting slapped at Kioti for not thinking of just installing a brass T like you did. Great review though. Surprised there was no mention of cup holder for some Twisted Tea 😅
Man i purchased my ZXC60 a little over a month ago and ive already ran into some of the issues you pointed out. Its in the shop right now getting the thrittle cable redirected because it wouldd not hold full throttle. Also have them working on the control handles. They straight piss me off!!!! They were so hard to get into and out of position that i threw the alignment up. Only other issues i have had is i cant find a mulching kit at all!! By the way ive been doing that same little trick with my tractor to change blades.
OK, so great video, I’ll give you that. You covered pretty much everything about the mower, but with all of the establish more brands out there, why would you go with a brand that no one has ever heard of. You would’ve probably done better if you were just stuck with John Deere, although still think there’s better mowers than what they have to offer also. I really look forward to when you get around to doing your research and trading that thing in on something better.
I just bought this mower for my little side hustle buisness. Where have you been able to get blades cause i cant find any blades for it except thru the dealer or kioti.
On your next purchase, check out BadBoy. I have a 2023 Rogue, and I love everything about it. It is by far the heaviest duty built mower I have found. This Kioti actually looks like they tried to copy the BadBoy. There are a lot of similarities.

Ya no problem. I love my ck2610. I dont mind the kioti zero turn. It does what its supposed to do and its pretty robust.

Ya tires do suck. Glad the dealer took care of you.

Good to know info on the Ferris. It takes time on a machine to figure out all those little like and dislikes. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I’m in the market for a new zero turn, this was great info. Now I’ll watch the rest of the video.
Awesome Viedo as always...

Like Adam said, the prison comment made me lol. Great video and I have hit my head many times on my father in laws roll bar also. Hurts like he!!
Thanks Doug! Ya it was kind of a boring video, but good info if your in the market.
I have a X Mark 60” that I love. It’s 12 years old and the only thing I have ever worked on is belts, blades and idler pulleys.
I have heard really good things about them.

I really like my Cub Cadet Commercial. Had it for 10 years and still going strong.

Hah. As you have a grasshopper video today. I should make a montage of stupid stuff i do. Probably have to make it two parts.
@SpicerDesignsLLC Guilty as charged! Haha I would watch that video several times!
Nice vid... but I have a fever, and it can only be cured by more trips and falls.... 😄 Keep it up
Haha. I know its cheesy but hopefully i get a couple people to crack up. Makes it worth it. Thanks for the comment!

I’m liking the beefiness of this mower. I’d take it for a spin.

Hah. Well the t might not work the way i thought it would. We’ll see
Thanks, I'm going to be buying a 2023 LT with the Kawasaki engine. Hoping the throttle will be better on this because the engine is different.
I think mine was the first year so hopefully they made some improvements.

I made the changes needed to get it where it needs to be. Should have came that way but im happy with it. No plans of getting rid of it at this point.
I raise the front of my mower up with a chainfall in my barn then put car jacks on each side.
Thats a safe way to do it. Thanks for the suggestion Todd
I just bought this mower for my little side hustle buisness. Where have you been able to get blades cause i cant find any blades for it except thru the dealer or kioti.
I havent checked yet. I just sharpened mine for now. Didnt realize they were that hard to find. Thanks for the heads up.
Bonjour merci pour la video ; je voudrai savoir ce que vous pensez des cub cadet XZ6 ?Merci.
Ive never has a Cub Cadet so i cant give you any input on that.
Merci quand même.
I'm surprised they don't have a diesel model.
They are still fairly new for Kioti. Hopefully they have one out in the near future.
That's how I like my Zero Turn lawn mowers and my woman......................Built like a brick shit house.
Built like a linebacker eh? She’s stout.
Mines stuck not able to to lower
you never got a BEER delivery !!!! ha ha ha
I know. The beer deliveries have been slackin
Kioti is newer the zero turn, so to be expected a few meh things. I knew the cleaning issues would be high on your pevs. Lol
Ya overall its not bad. Nothing that cant be fixed.
I have a 9 year old Dixie Chopper ,and I wouldn't trade it for 3 of those Chinese weed whackers
Made in South Korea.
@@SpicerDesignsLLC Well there's a huge difference for ya !
@MrTonyPiscatelle it really is
@@SpicerDesignsLLC LOL
Your John Deere probably had a Kawasaki not a Kohler lol
This guy's not as funny as he thinks he is
Someones miserable. Shame on me for trying to make a couple people laugh.
Well he is making great content and doing a damn fine job of not being boring.
Rodney. If you can’t laugh like the rest of us…… just go back to your basement and watch cartoons. Don’t come on here and be a Debi downer.
No one wants ya here Rodney. Crack a keystone and crack a smile 😃
Hey now… Every once in a while he says somethin funny
