Yes, just like cars and anything else that is financed.
Sheds are typically on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their rental payments we pick them up.
My wish is not for anyone to get anything repossessed but rather for everyone to make great decisions and prosper.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly, if you can't pay you can always voluntarily return it.

Just sickening someone living on welfare gets $15,000 for income tax return. That needs to change!
Not knowing her whole situation but. If you make a certain amount of income you qualify for earned income credit and in my situation got 3500 back on my taxes with 2 children. I think it’s double that now with 3 kids now. Just part of the tax code.

@@MsLori1973 when my children were little if I made about 13 grand and I could get back about 2300 extra over what I paid in taxes. Basically 0 in taxes and get back and get 2300. That amount has gone up over the years. More kids more money also. But you have to actually have an income to get that money. If you only made 3 or 4 grand you would only get a fraction of that. If you made more than the 13 grand you will get less. Not sure what the amounts are now. But it’s called earned income tax credit. Part of the tax code that benefits millions of lower income folks. May even keep a lot of children from starving to death. I know it helped me. That extra money I invested in tools and equipment that helped me earn more money. What one might refer as lifting me out of poverty. I raised 2 children on my own with no help from their mother. Not like I could work a full time job and take on raising 2 children at the same time.

The Government WANTS to keep people DEPENDANT on it. It does it by throwing less intelligent people a bone. Those people won't use the money to get skills to increase their income, they usually squander the money on stuff they don't need and the cycle continues.
Child services SHOULD be called that's horrible they think it's okay to have that many kids living in that situation. Why even have kids if you can't support yourself.

If this yr 2024 they allow moms to have kids back in a reg trailer im sure they can't touch them. N as a foster they ate thoroughly investigated. Are they her kids or foster. U seem unsure n are making assumptions. I don't agree to a lot of opl do but are they clothed fed roof over head n all necessary things in life. They wouldn't be aloud 5 kids unless it was properly checked out n they passed a home inspection and their own personal.bqckgrpund checks etc. Cps doesn't just plop.kids.on a porch. Repossession is like a Mexican standoff sometimes. I worked doing repo's when I got out of the Army. It can be brutal. Folks think they own the item they fail to make payments on. Putting up fences and gates and keep out signs is all a sign they are crooked. 5 or 6 kids growing up like that will produce more of the same in the future. You may find yourself trying to repo a shed from one of their kids in years to come. If that place caught fire and those children perished, heaven forbid, you'd feel guilty for not reporting this situation. Do the right thing and turn this welp into authorities. At least, then, it won't be on you if nothing is done.

It irritates me too when I see people like that. It wasn’t “please don’t do this” it was “you’re not taking this building”. I work like a dog and don’t get anything for a tax return and people like that get 20G’s. I’m sure there’s no plumbing either which is disgusting. I don’t have children but before I had one I’d make sure we weren’t going to ever live in a makeshift tiny house.

I have 4 kids and get roughly 10k back in taxes and if I don’t file it can be criminal. But I don’t live in a shed, I live in a 4 bedroom house and work a full time job plus another job 1 day a week

Easy way to solve that problem. Call child protective services and they’re all out of there! That’s ridiculous to have five children in a little dinky shed like that. How pitiful is that? I truly feel sorry for those children.
CPS may or may not take the children, depending on the caseworker and situation. Regretfully, CPS may be worse than the plight the younguns are in now. That is why I say, depends.

I would have called the law. Let them explain that you have the right to pick up the shed. They might also be interested to learn that the children are living in a shed. I'm sure that state has minimum housing laws with children.

Here's my 2 cents. I have seen the update and still feel the same. Call it a "gut feeling". When the man said "six kids", did he really say "sick kid". When Josh repeated "six kids" did they just not correct him and then just went with it? I only saw 1 kid. I did not see or even hear 6 kids. Kids are nosy. How did they manage to keep 6 kids inside with out making a noise or be seen? PEOPLE LIE! All day, everyday. The woman went along with the lie saying it would be paid off in January. Yes the woman came out with 1 child. Maybe because no on else was inside to watch it. Josh & Sarah are good people. I'm not even going to waste my time reading all the comments about CPS. Depending on what state your in welfare will say that if they live in it that they have to be served eviction then the judge could give them another 90 days to leave . As long as they have food water and aren't being beat it not abuse. Just cause they are living in a tunny home doesn't make abuse.
In cases like this, why don't you just call the sheriff? That way you can pick it up without hassle.

Don't know about foster kids but I know someone who works only part time few hours a week for just a few weeks or months out of the whole year intentionally just enough to have a few taxes withheld from a paycheck and meet income threshold for maximum benefit of claiming earned income credit so when tax time comes she can claim that EIC for all her kids and get a $20k plus refund check while living off government benefits the whole time. 😮

I would of call the police, children protective services, to have gotten those kids the help they so desperately needed. Seven people in a box shed with no plumbing because I’d seen the portable potty sitting on the porch and with no running water are deplorable non existent living. Dam the shed save the children.🤬😡🤬

That many children living in this sized tiny house plus possibly 2 adults... no no no " Then at the wrap up of the end Did you see what is on the outside front porch? An assisted bedside potty chair... smh exposed to all of the outside weather and absolutely no privacy unbelievable.... There is a reason they did not want him to see inside. I would have called the locals for a definite "Welfare Check. for all of those babies." I would not have been able to live with myself if something happened to them. Dude if you didnt call CPS im honestly kinda disappointed in you. This is 100% clear cut neglect. Having 1 or 2 kids in that building during tough times is one thing, but having 6 kids in that tiny house is seriously wrong. No running water, zero privacy, and i HIGHLY doubt theyre being bathed regularly and the place is prob absolutely trashed. Not to mention her admitting to using kids for money.

If you're late on a payment and they have to repo it, that's not stolen property. To steal something means to take it without asking. If you sign a contract and they have to repo it, it is not theft.
Sorry to say, if they are living in it, it's a home and they have to be evicted. You unfortunately have no legal right to take it until you go through the courts. Only a judge can do this for you. It doesn't matter if they are trash or not. So just a contract does not allow you to enter private property and take someone's home, in this case.

Do you know that the money that's been sent to ukr could have solved the homeless problem in our country? Our government created all of this! Here in KY everyone is obligated to report neglect abuse etc. yes CPS needs to be called ASAP there is not enough sq. Footage in that bldg to house 6+ people. I had to call CPS in one of the families I worked with in my job. I was scared even though you can do it anonymously but I knew I did the right thing. The children were removed from the home and placed with family where they were bathed fed and had a more enjoyable life. Josh and Sarah call you will feel better doing the right thing.

I grew up poor and sometimes lived in a truck camper……I was not abused and wished we had more money but glad we had each other…..Times have changed and we own houses and drive new cars.
Looks like a much better life than I had. At least they have parents and a roof over their heads.
Right, I grew up very poor. My mother and father had 9 of us, (and trust me it wasn’t for tax returns) we lived in a house my dad built, no running water, no electricity. We had an outhouse and got our water from a spring. We always dreamed of bigger things but we were happy. And our biggest fear was being taken away from our parent because “people” thought because we lived different we were neglected. We were loved, and we grew up fine. My youngest sibling is now 36.
In my opinion this video is sad because low blowing someone is a sign you are losing and low blowing is the only thing you have left to try and make yourself out to be better when you aren’t.
I lost almost everything in one of those big PG&E fires in California. At least I saved my biggest treasure of all - my life. I now live in a 24' travel trailer, no water. no electricity, in the desert, 25 miles from town. This ordeal has taught me several very important lessons, including: The richest man isn't the man that has the most. It's the man that needs the least.
@@pondarosalife7790 Truth is that your situation was kind of not how it usually is. Having children you are not able to house, feed, clothe, etc, is irresponsible and careless. Children abide with all sorts of negligence and want, they don't know any better. But having kid after kid when you can't care for them appropriately is abusive. Nobody says you must have a gold and jewel encrusted life, but you must be able to feed and support with more than "love". With the concerns you voiced about the children - if you do not call child protection services - then you become part of the problem - call the responsible authorities and hope these children can escape what appears to be abuse ..
I believe your comment is spot on. Rather than engaging those people in a back and forth conversation, the police should have been notified and let the authorties follow up on that deplorable situation. After that would be the time to look into picking up the building.

Paying women to have children increases poverty. Children should be parents that can afford them.
That SOUNDS good but in practice it would essentially mean that society would collapse because there would be no bottom tier. It sounds cruel and to some degree it is but it’s worth stating that not everyone whose poor is miserable.
To some degree were already seeing this because lots of people who would have been married and had a family in the past are currently single and endlessly swiping on tinder or even if they are in a relationship/married plenty don’t feel confident they could afford children. It’s no accident that so many South Americans were recently let into the country.
