    24/25. Never heard of 'pulchritudinous', despite doing the daily cryptic crossword for years.

    23/25. It’s been quite a while since using these words. Maybe in college or when I worked for an attorney. Thank you for this refresher quiz. Have a blessed day. Love Patricia 🙏💞🤗🥰💗

    Since I am not a native English speaker I scored 24/25 thanks the latin roots of most words.

      Wow, scoring 24/25 is fantastic, especially considering English isn't your native language! Latin roots can indeed be incredibly helpful in understanding English vocabulary. Keep up the great work!

    23 of 25, having taken Latin in my past it helps. Just knowing a few parts of a word can lead u in the right direction.

      That's a fantastic score! It's great to hear that your background in Latin has been helpful. Understanding the roots and parts of words can indeed make a big difference in deciphering unfamiliar terms. Keep up the great work!

    25/25 but some of these answers were very poor synonyms. Superior does not mean boss although a boss is a superior.

    • @hannalee5756
      @hannalee5756 17 днів тому +1

      Exactly. It may be logical reasoning to pick the closest from a short list but that doesn't make the closest a synonym.

    • @englishtestsandlogic
      @englishtestsandlogic  16 днів тому

      Congratulations on scoring a perfect 25/25! I appreciate your feedback on the synonyms. You're absolutely correct that 'superior' does not directly mean 'boss,' although a boss is often considered a superior in a hierarchical structure. Synonyms can sometimes have nuanced differences in meaning, so it's important to consider the context in which they are used.
