I had a blast! I thought this was going to be easy, but not quite so much. And I learned a thing or 2 along the way. A case in point-- #10--I would have bet Money that there was no such word as 'SWUM'. And I would have been wrong. Never used it. Never heard it. Researched it and now I know. Thanks for preventing me from making a possibly Big 'faux pas'. :) But I have questions about numbers #32 & 33. Would it not be, 'I don't like coffee. I prefer tea.'? Or if one Was to use the word 'but', would it not be--'I don't like coffee, but I do like tea.'? And #33--They will arrive 'before, after, or when' the party starts, just not the word 'while'. So A, C, or D could all be used, correct? Inquiring mind... And did anyone know there is such a word as 'eggcorn'? 😄 I certainly didn't! 😄. Something else I learned while researching (Thank you!). I may have laughed if I had heard someone use, or had seen, this word. So thank you so much. I have learned several things from taking your 'not quite so easy' quiz. 👍
I had the same thought but according to Webster’s dictionary (American version of Oxford?) it is correct. “Swim is an irregular verb; swam is the past tense of swim, while swum is the past participle. Swum is used after have, as in ‘I have swum in that pool before.’ “ The question was about the past participle.
This evening (Friday,March 15, 2024) I re-took your "50+ English Grammar Quiz". This time, I scored 51/52! Great! Larry Carroll😀😁😇😍💋❤🙏👨🎤🚶♂🌳☘🍒🍊🫑🫐🍆🍇🍕🦐🍨🌎🏕
I am an African from West , my Country in Africa people do not speak English. French is spoken language , and our mother tongue. So , i scored 49 out of 52 that is pretty impressive❤❤❤❤🎉🎉
Agreed! Except the question was about the past participle, not the past tense. “Swim is an irregular verb; swam is the past tense of swim, while swum is the past participle. Swum is used after have, as in "I have swum in that pool before." Copied from Webster’s dictionary.
@@franceswatts4001Swim,swam, swum/drink, drank, drunk/sing, sang, sung (i-a-u) Every once in a while there is something 'regular' in irregular verbs.😂
7 errors according to the video, but 2 of them were not my mistake, but yours, 3 of them were wrong, because the sentence wasn't clear, missing context. So 2 errors only. In some cases I had to take the more common option, when another one could be right in some circumstances.
So I'm not the only one who noticed that. Like no. 33, the answer could had been any of the choices given depending on the context in which it was asked.

I disagree with your past tense for swim. I would say swam. Swum would need "have" in front of it.
That's what I thought too. Totally agree with you.
One more "mistake" that wasn't by ne?
Agreed! Except the question was about the past participle, not the past tense.
