Either Barriss will sense who he is through the force, or he'll tell her right before he kills her, as he did in his novel when he killed that jedi master on kashyk.

I don't think the Inquisitor scene is a retcon at all, after all it's relatively new inquisitors all becoming inquisitors and we clearly see the grand Inquisitor and another long since established one in the trailer as well

I could possibly see Vader killing Bariss for what she did to Ahsoka Tano . Vader would blame Bariss for Ahsoka leaving the Jedi order .

I recall there was a Mirialan Inquisitor in either Fallen Order or Jedi Survivor. Kinda assumed Barris would be revealed to be her... Makes more sense in hindsight though that Vader is just going to kill her. It's Vader, after all.

Barriss doesn't survive. After seeing the promo video the first time, my first thought was that the writers will use this to end the fandome speculation and just kill her off. I think the Anakin side of Vader will rage and kill her b/c he blames her for the loss of Ahsoka and the life he knew for falling apart.

I hope Bariss Offee will end up being betrayed by Vader or another Inquisitor under Vader’s orders in the same way as she betrayed Ahsoka years before. After all, it was Bariss who confessed to Anakin during their duel in the Jedi Temple that “[she] has learned that trust is overrated.” I hope she get’s a good dose of her own medicine.

Compared to Sidious, Vader doesn’t really savor torture as far as I know. Exceptions are there like with Obi-Wan where he wanted to inflict as much pain as he can, but that’s not really torture. If he’s going to kill you, he does it quick. If it’s a fight, it’s still quick. Sidious would drag it out.
