Yessss, I’m so glad there are still people/influencers who enjoy longer content. Aside from personal reasons, my hiatus on making UA-cam videos was because of my concern for people preferring short content / reels more. So so glad you’re sticking to UA-cam videos. They’re always such a joy to watch!

I rather spend a week creating a 10 minutes video rather than spending a day creating a 30 second video. As a viewer, I enjoy long-form content the most. It's most entertaining and engaging for me, and I feel like I learn more about the creator and their likes and dislikes. Even if I can't finish a youtube video in the moment, if I really like it I will go back and finish it. But at the same time, you make the content that makes you most fulfilled!!

UA-cam will always have my heart. Yes I consume content on there less regularly than I do on Instagram but the videos on here are what give me peace, inspiration and knowledge. They have my full attention while my brain feels scattered on ig. Also I always put subtitles on as I tend to Watch UA-cam while working in my bakery or tidying up the house and this way I can watch without worrying about the noises I make
I don't use subtitles but I think it's a great addition for the deaf community to enjoy your videos as well as people who aren't native english speakers and need a little help following along to what's being said!

Thank you for investing in subtitles, Jenn! Lots of times I use subtitles when watching videos because the second input helps me process and retain what is said (I struggle with my working memory). My partner also is hard of hearing and so subtitles really help them, too. Subtitles can make a huge positive impact for those in the Deaf community as a lot of the times the way videos are edited, people are using voice over or not fully facing the camera in a clear way etc., which inhibits ability to read lips/gain full context of a video. Also a note, when editing/corrections are only revealed in text with no voice over, those who are blind have no ability to receive those messages. I've seen in a few of your videos and on many others a humor-based editing trend where corrections by the editor or even disclaimers, clarifications, and/or trigger warnings are held up quickly and silently in text alone which blind and visually impaired viewers would have no access to. Voice over combined with text might be the most effective option for memory impaired, Deaf, and blind viewers. Thank you for all that you do! 😊

Your hair cut is so freaking super cute!! The thing that stuck out to me the most this video, which really touched me, was the comment about potentially wanting two kids. To see you go from not wanting kids, to being terrified the moment you found out, to your journey of motherhood, it is inspiring. Your story really gives me hope as I am in the same boat of not wanting kids because I don't think I'd be a good mother. While I doubt I'll ever have kids, it gives me hope that maybe one day everything could change for the best. Happy for your journey of growth. PS: youtube content all the way! Jenn I have been a long time follower and I love that you are staying with YT. You are right, long form suits you and I definitely enjoy the content more than a quick reel or TikTok. I also watch EVERYTHING with subtitles, as a former ESL kid, it’s a habit I have had since I was a kid and it’s stuck with me.

I turn on subtitles! I'm hearing but my sister is deaf, so I grew up with captions on TV, etc. and it became a habit (it feels weird NOT to have captions on even when I watch on my own). Whenever I want to share a UA-cam video with her, the auto-transcription doesn't always do the best job (and the old days didn't even have auto-transcription!) so we often miss out on sharing that moment together, and I have to explain what I found so funny or compelling. Thank you for making your content more accessible for everyone. I've been watching you since your clothesencounters days, and it's been really fun to follow along as I enter new chapters of life too.
Love your hair Jenn! And I'm so old school I come to UA-cam for meaningful content and when I'm on IG (I don't have tiktok) I scroll without purpose. I even go weeks with deleting the app all together (even though I need it for my photography business) so I love putting your you tube channel on my TV via apple tv and relax and watch. IMO reading a book or tidying up a bit or calling someone is way better and more productive than hopping on IG or TikTok to watch some short-form content that drags me down anyways. When I do have time e.g. in the evening or on the weekend, watching UA-cam videos is what I like to do. Definitely more onto the long-form content so thank you for giving it so much thought and sharing it with us 💕
Take your temp laying down. Some people don’t notice a different but personally if I sit up my temp goes up more than it would have. I’ve tracked for years and love it! (Also recommended monitoring your cm along w your temps)

I always turn on subtitles when watching videos. I'm usually watching at 1.5X speed or something, or I'm nursing an easily distracted baby while watching videos. So subtitles are a must!

Keep focusing on long form! I think your appeal as a youtuber is your long, relaxing, thoughtful videos. Short-form seems more geared toward a much younger audience than me (I'm a new mom in my early 30's) and I think reflects some sad things happening in our society with attention spans and consumerism.
I love long form content because it feels like I'm connected to you and having an actual conversation. People that love long form will continue to watch even though they have all the other apps ☺️ I found your UA-cams during pandemic and it's comforting to watch and feels like you're talking to me. 💛
Subtitles are really helpful for some YT videos but you know your voice and mix your sound so well I never need subtitles for yours. With you 100% on long form :) Also: your nails pop! They're amazing!!

When I'm on UA-cam deciding which videos to watch, I actively look for videos 10min and longer so that I can watch while I do household chores like folding laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc.

I love longer content! I feel like my attention span has severely degraded with all the short content and sometimes I catch myself mindlessly swiping through ~15-30s of content for entertainment. Also Jenn’s hair grows so fast! And the natural dark color reminds me of her early thrifting days. 🥰

Thank you for investing in subtitles, Jenn! Lots of times I use subtitles when watching videos because the second input helps me process and retain what is said (I struggle with my working memory). My partner also is hard of hearing and so subtitles really help them, too. Subtitles can make a huge positive impact for those in the Deaf community as a lot of the times the way videos are edited, people are using voice over or not fully facing the camera in a clear way etc., which inhibits ability to read lips/gain full context of a video.
Also a note, when editing/corrections are only revealed in text with no voice over, those who are blind have no ability to receive those messages. I've seen in a few of your videos and on many others a humor-based editing trend where corrections by the editor or even disclaimers, clarifications, and/or trigger warnings are held up quickly and silently in text alone which blind and visually impaired viewers would have no access to. Voice over combined with text might be the most effective option for memory impaired, Deaf, and blind viewers. Thank you for all that you do! 😊
i actually prefer watching your long-form content over your short-form! i can relate to you much better that way and i find it more comforting in a way! you've been one of my main sources of comfort during hardships and stressful times so to watch your videos is a breath of fresh air :)

Your hair cut is so freaking super cute!! The thing that stuck out to me the most this video, which really touched me, was the comment about potentially wanting two kids. To see you go from not wanting kids, to being terrified the moment you found out, to your journey of motherhood, it is inspiring. Your story really gives me hope as I am in the same boat of not wanting kids because I don't think I'd be a good mother. While I doubt I'll ever have kids, it gives me hope that maybe one day everything could change for the best. Happy for your journey of growth.

Jenn I have been a long time follower and I love that you are staying with YT. You are right, long form suits you and I definitely enjoy the content more than a quick reel or TikTok. I also watch EVERYTHING with subtitles, as a former ESL kid, it’s a habit I have had since I was a kid and it’s stuck with me.

I turn on subtitles! I'm hearing but my sister is deaf, so I grew up with captions on TV, etc. and it became a habit (it feels weird NOT to have captions on even when I watch on my own). Whenever I want to share a UA-cam video with her, the auto-transcription doesn't always do the best job (and the old days didn't even have auto-transcription!) so we often miss out on sharing that moment together, and I have to explain what I found so funny or compelling. Thank you for making your content more accessible for everyone. I've been watching you since your clothesencounters days, and it's been really fun to follow along as I enter new chapters of life too.

IMO reading a book or tidying up a bit or calling someone is way better and more productive than hopping on IG or TikTok to watch some short-form content that drags me down anyways. When I do have time e.g. in the evening or on the weekend, watching UA-cam videos is what I like to do. Definitely more onto the long-form content so thank you for giving it so much thought and sharing it with us 💕
Take your temp laying down. Some people don’t notice a different but personally if I sit up my temp goes up more than it would have.
I’ve tracked for years and love it! (Also recommended monitoring your cm along w your temps)

I always turn on subtitles when watching videos. I'm usually watching at 1.5X speed or something, or I'm nursing an easily distracted baby while watching videos. So subtitles are a must!

I always turn on subtitles! They're so helpful cause sometimes it's hard to hear what people are saying. It makes it more comfortable to watch.
Keep focusing on long form! I think your appeal as a youtuber is your long, relaxing, thoughtful videos. Short-form seems more geared toward a much younger audience than me (I'm a new mom in my early 30's) and I think reflects some sad things happening in our society with attention spans and consumerism.
I love long form content because it feels like I'm connected to you and having an actual conversation. People that love long form will continue to watch even though they have all the other apps ☺️ I found your UA-cams during pandemic and it's comforting to watch and feels like you're talking to me. 💛

I’m so glad to hear you say you like long form content more because SAME! I deleted tiktok and I barely use Instagram anymore because I hate seeing reels promoted so much.
When I'm on UA-cam deciding which videos to watch, I actively look for videos 10min and longer so that I can watch while I do household chores like folding laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc.
i have an auditory disorder processing so subtitles help so much! it is vital to disabled folks like me!
