I dunno ranked is weird In infinite. My main I had to fight for diamond 1 after getting placed plat 3. I made new account and placed diamond 5. I kinda wish they would separate social and ranked mmr I guess that’s the difference.

What's weird for me is that my social rank is pretty high considering I dominate most games, and yet I also get placed in the high Plat area.... yet the hidden MMR continues to put me with high diamonds and sometimes onyx players while i continue to be high plat/low diamond... its very weird
Yeah I put up solid enough performances for my MMR to keep increasing but my CSR tanks so hard after each loss its almost impossible to climb rank. It's to the point where I simply can't afford to lose at all. Gotta start tanking socials not because I want cheap wins against easy players but just so I can hopefully stop hemorrhaging CSR and have enough breathing room to actually afford a few losses.
When higher ranked players have to play on smurfs to get games then this game is dead. Its only going to die quicker now that low level players will que up a ranked game and have to run into the Buzzsaw that is Lucid. GG 343, you're killing it!

This is definitely Plat. I have to play on alts bc my brother always wants to play with me but he gets mopped up in onyx lobbies. I'm familiar with the plats/low diamonds lol

We wouldn't be in this situation if the game didn't have such a low population, and it wouldn't have such a low population if 343 didn't launch it incomplete and broken.
Lucid is one of a hundred or so players that this update will negatively effect- which is marginal in the grand scheme of plus or minus 10k players. the tightened skillgap is better for the majority of the population. For example, My avg 1360 csr ass gets queued within 15 secs or less 90% of the time (east coast servers).
