In order to program outputs you would still need the computer and micro usb cable still or will there be a way to program outputs implemented or being ready to be implemented onto the weblink maestro app? Rr2 is great and other than Bluetooth and harness compatibilities it seems that the only difference are the programmable outputs.
Mine connects but will randomly fail. When it eventually gets to near the end (97%) it fails saying that the car is moving. I have a 2019 highlander hybrid and I don't think the t02 harness allows the maestro any car stats (brake, etc). All those indicators are always NA on the maestro. Guess I'll have to tear the dash open to get to it. Way to go maestro RR2 :/
The app connects to the RR2, but when flashing it, it will error and give a code "100213". I've tried calling support and their literal response was "I never seen that code". So I am stuck and Support doesn't know what to do.
Constantly fails to update. Hangs at 97%. Tried via iPhone 12, iPad Pro, Galaxy S6. All three fail to update the firmware. Desktop app for windows and Mac both fail to see the device via countless usb cables. Not to mention the button configuration only works about half way through. After that you have to select an item 3-4 items below where you want to make changes to actually make the change you want. Was only able to initially configure this thing 2 years ago.
I tried to flash the DSR1 and using this & no connect. Only works with PC with the short USB cable but does not connect the 1st time it takes multiple tries.
This is pretty dumb. You still have to tear the entire dash apart to physically access the unit to do small things like change a steering wheel button action. For 300$ for a connection relay you would think that they would let you do that remotely without making you have to pull everything apart again.
So it seems the nearly EVERY commenter here has the SAME failing at 97% firmware update issue! DatalinkMaestro care to comment ? you've just dumped this video here with what seems like zero customer support or feedback! Has ANYONE had this issue resolved ?
FAILS at 97% says my car is unsafe?? Its a HARLEY DAVIDSON motorcycle, and its ridiculous that I paid extra to have bluetooth programming and it doesnt work!!! FIX IT!!! Also, why do I have to go through the entire process just to remap a thumb control? I mapped it via USB when I bought it, now its INSTALLED and I cant just go remove it to re-program every time.... This is WHY i bough the RR2... but it makes you go through the whole setup routine again --> Vehicle year, make, radio make, serial, etc... etc.... WHY? when its ALREADY in there!?? Talk about annoying AF! Lastly you don't make it clear how to set thumb control to SKIP a song ahead or back.. you have PRESET ( + / - ), and SEEK ( + / - ) which I DONT want!!! I want it to work like the stock setup... left thumb forward skips the currently playing track.... yet theres NO OPTION for SKIP!!!!!!! of course none of that matters if you can't re-program it! WTF!!?? HELLO? This thing is literal JUNK!
Is there a simple way to simply check to see if there is new firmware available? It doesn’t seem obvious to me. Thanks.

Thanks for making this video. App nor paper directions mentioned pushing the programming button to pair bluetooth.
Ugh I now have to open my dash again just to push the buttom
Works great on second gen Toyota did a mobile flash at work took less then ten minutes leave car on

Same... 97% flash fail, 100% iDATALINK FAIL!

Same. Infuriating.

2 android devices are rejecting pairing 'incorrect pin or passphrase'. Any suggestions are welcome
What about the MAESTRO RR. Exist an app to Bluetooth flash it?
RR = No... RR2 = yes, bluetooth via weblink app , but it SUCKS, and it fails everytime you try to flash!

Yeah, same here wtf ? Complete dash tear down for updating???!!!
I can not update it also it is difficult to connect
