You were a very big part of my childhood - Listening to your list of school closings hoping to hear my school announced. And you were a very big part of my adulthood - Listening to you state the time as the time I "had" to get up approached. It’s easy to take someone like you for granted because you were so smooth on the radio - like the feeling you get when you drink hot chocolate. So while I’m happy for you that you are walking away on your terms and to do something else, I’m sad that those feelings will soon become a memory. I will be listening on Friday, April 3 for that one final farewell. But let’s not say goodbye. Instead, let’s say “be seeing you”. Thank you, Jim for your years of service, for waking me up every week day for more years than I care to admit and making Cincinnati have that “small town” feel. Wishing you the best!
Remember hearing Jim Scott in 1970 every morning on WSAI in Cincinnati after working all night at Thatcher Glass, near Lawrenceburg. Was stunned to see that he was still on the air until 2015!
Will miss you Jim. You became a morning routine listening to WLW on down here in Georgia via AM skip...thanks for all of your service to us.
