Definitely the time for decadent sweet rose scents, Roses Berberanza was my Xmas shopping scent again this year, and Oud Satin Mood is my go to night out scent for winter. I ended up selling my Oud Bouquet because it just didn't suit me in the end, but it's such a rich beautiful one too. Your definitely smelling good this season 👌 joyeux noël Karine xxx
I've been more into gourmand fragrances lately. I guess that's because of the holidays season ^^ But I could definitely see myself wear Oud satin mood again or Cherry oud for a night out. This one also has become one of my go to for a night out 🥰 My parents are coming to my place for Christmas this year and my mother finds my fragrances quite 'weird' 😅 ...so I guess I'll have to make an effort 😂 I wish you a Merry Christmas too 😉😘

I always love your videos perfume choices, but the one I cannot stand and had to rush home to wash it off was By the Fireplace by Replica, the smell, it literally made me ill.. I do love Shalimar millesime iris. My two favourite notes are Iris and lavender. Not many fragrances with lavender around.. but I adore it so much ❤
Oh maybe that's the smokiness of it that bothered you. If you want a more gourmand and qualitative version, I recommend you to try Frustration by ELDO 😉 I have a few iris/lavender fragrances, very different one from another (Mon Guerlain, Dior homme, Bruma, New York ...) I recommend you Gris clair by SL. Unfortunately they discontinued it so I didn't find it so far 😅 I think Lizzie reviewed A balm of calm from the new Penhaligon's range that you may enjoy too 😊
all my quality scents that i wear mentioned : shalimar, encense mythique, tonka imperiale, subbing!!! very relaxed, same type expressing the feelings and making reviews ... worthy channel!
Quite the list! I love Parfait de Roses - in fact, I was inspired by you to buy it! I was happy to snatch a bottle before it disappeared off the market. I also got Iris Torréfié earlier this month. I smelled it in Qatar and couldn't resist buying it! My experience with One Umbrella for Two hasn't been all that great, the opening is too much. I'm hoping I'll enjoy it better now that the weather is getting cooler (I live in a very hot climate so even winters aren't that cold so not sure if it'll ever work). Also been loving La Belle Joueuse, Scherzo, Vanitas, Awake, and Peregrina.
Oh you have a lovely list of fragrances 😊 I think I could enjoy Belle joueuse (I usually like Michel Almairac creations). One umbrella for two is only appealing to me in a colder wet weather so I definitely get it if it was too much for you 😉
Hey Karine, always love to see what gorgeous gems you've been wearing. I've been wearing Misia so much lately. The beautiful violet is really shining in the winter chills. I mention it as you mentioned it at the beginning. French Kiss just wouldn't be the same if they did re-release it. Honestly, if it's anything like Tonka Imperial because i bought a newer bottle of it and it was far more aromatic and less powdery and textured. I sold it and very luckily found an original bottle of Tonka Imperiale on ebay, omg. . So much better. It's the beautiful guerlain textures and magic that make Tonka Imperiale so beautiful. The new bottles definitely aren't holding the same juice. Just my opinion, but it was so different to me.

I really love your lineup, like always. I deliberately missed Millesime Iris this year as it’s too sweet and “pop-culture” for me if you will. The only reason we all are so tempted with it is the hype and FOMO created by UA-camrs. I’m proud of myself that I was able to come on top of it and not fall for all the praise by UA-camrs who really just push overconsumption. I know, I know, we’re responsible for our own actions, and one of the smartest thing might be just stop watching if we cannot resist the influence😂
I really hesitated to buy this one. It was released in France very late compared to the other countries and I was not sure I was going to like it if it was too powdery. In the end, I like it even more now that it's winter here I feel like it's working really well in the cold. Would I miss it if I didn't have it? Maybe not, as I already have many flankers that I love 😄 Indeed we don't have to jump on each release. I'm a big Guerlain fan but I skipped many of their releases this year as I feel like they were just not for me...

As for Milessime Iris: I cannot help but thinking that Guerlain has cheaped out on both the ingredients and bottle for Millesime Iris, and real Millesime Iris is Iris Pallida Extrait which is 5x the price. It’s pretty upsetting and I would not support these “politics” with my money👀👀
@@june1319 I didn't buy the new extraits. I think the price is just crazy on these ones. Indeed when you call something Millésime Iris we expect lots of iris ^^ Have you tried l'Initial ? I think that one could be quite close to their Millésime iris and we can find it here for a more reasonable price :D
Oh these aldehydes can be the metallic feel I have from it then. For me the opening is full on peppery. I remember when I had covid these pepper notes were the only thing I could smelling, then nothing. That's when I realized I got it 😅
I have a dupe of Oud Satin mood and totally relate. Even the dupe is nuclearl. I laughed hard when you said "If there's a fireplace i could kill everybody." Honestly, i smell the bottle more than i wear it. I'm glad i only bought a dupe though because for the price i'd hate to not wear something.
Oh the Elixir version could be a good alternative then. It's a roll on that you use only on your wrists to get whiffs of it without killing anyone 😆 (and I think it's cheaper ^^)
