Thank you, Mr. Kaufmann, and all the artists who have brought all of those heartwrenchingly beautiful operettas and waltzes full of life force back to the world! I was fortunate to be brought up on them and they have kept me going through some very though times. (As has the ballet). I am so happy that new generations are now experiencing those magnificent melodies. I don't know if Mr. Kaufmann has sung arias from "Der Zarewitsch," but that is also one of Lehar's best operettas. "Es steht ein Soldat am Wolgastrand" has some very touching lyrics. I recommend watching it.

I knew it because my grand mother and my mothers were great fan of Ferenc Lehar and i was in Hungary where with Kalman he is the most famous composer specially for Giuditta with( mein lippen sie kussen so heiss..) and Dein ist mein ganze hertz...In Budapest every month you have a performance of Lehar or Kalman

Nice voice for the ears of nowerdays. He is a wonderful man and with great musicality. Of course he is not a big voice but a lyric tenor who has darkened his voice thruh the years. Listen to Lauri Volpi or Beniamino Gigli or many others who had a balanced voice. Sadly these days are gone and the technic lost. We want to admire him and say he is so great to feel fine🙏thats ok.
