Jagex should randomize the tutorial island npc names and their locations so a bot programmer cannot program a bot to do them. Kind of like an instance. Can also add different randomized codes that the player must enter while talking to those tutorial island NPC based on what they said. It's a good amount of work but less work in total than banning 19,000 bots a day. If each bot has to be made by a person 1 by 1 then losing the bot is huge and may defer tons of mass botters
Tutorial island change wouldn’t stop bots, people don’t bot tutorial island often because that’s just asking to get banned. In fact changing tutorial island will just make the account look more human in the long run

I'll never understand why OSRS accounts don't need to be connected to a real email address. Have Jagex auto-send a verification email for each new account created. I understand that small step wouldn't stop botting at all, but it would make it slower for bot-farmers to create new accounts. Also, can someone explain why LMS is even available in F2P? Or could it be limited to just a few F2P severs? It would increase the likelihood of real players actually being in each game. As SirPugger points out, having actual people in game drastically reduces the bots ability to farm points.

They get higher stats for ban evasion, a dedicated player will alch for hours on end, so a level 3 alching for 8+ hours is very high on jagex radar. so if you have an account with "main" melee stats then it reduces the risk of ban, therefore you get more $$$ per hour
When i was playing in f2p servers last week i found out that theres a bot farm collecting grain in draynor village field and banking them. Theres always like 10-15 bots picking the grain. Weird
RuneScape 3 solved the majority of its bot problems many years ago. They don't need to divert many resources to it, and as stated in this video 80% of the team's work goes to OSRS.
I've had 2 step authenticator on, if they get access to your email, they can just deactivate it and still gain access. It was an old email that I don't use often.
If I'm not mistaken the last group of "corpbots" the user Pat & Pam have access to a Pmod Account. I've seen those names fishing sacred eel, chatted with one of them a bit before they started flexing that pmod account.

The bots are doing exactly what you did. They farm points, purchase Carrallander teles, then trade to main accs. no they say they remove 19k a day thats just a number they say they dont, even though bots ruin the game it makes jagex money when they play so why if 5k of the 19k pay 14$ for membership why would jagex ban them.... do you understand how much cash jagex will lose when they can have those 5k bots pay 14$ every month. and those are just the ones who buy with actual cash.
Speaking of 2FA, somebody really needs to bring awareness to the fact that it can be brute forced in as little as 3 days and that Jagex passwords don't even allow uppercase characters and have surprisingly low password requirements. These are some of the reasons why so many player's accounts are being stolen.
No, it's really not. Bruteforcing RS passwords doesn't work because after a few attempts you get blocked from trying. Even with runescape's simple passwords, it's not an issue. People get hacked because their emails aren't secure.

Imaging owner a mansion lambos and an island from runescape, meanwhile doctor thinks hes on top with 150k a year salary. Lol
I've made about 22k usd in...10 months or so, not bad for mostly no work on top of my day job
@@xoxoDonkey how
Karnivore staking?
I highly doubt any doctor gets 150k a year that’s a third of what i get moving rubble around with trucks
@@effigy42 where i live they cap at 320k a year lol
They get higher stats for ban evasion, a dedicated player will alch for hours on end, so a level 3 alching for 8+ hours is very high on jagex radar. so if you have an account with "main" melee stats then it reduces the risk of ban, therefore you get more $$$ per hour
I DO wonder how many of these stats are fabricated or played up from Jagex.
When i was playing in f2p servers last week i found out that theres a bot farm collecting grain in draynor village field and banking them. Theres always like 10-15 bots picking the grain. Weird
Like 2 banned per year...
The entire anti-cheating team is only 7 people for both games? No wonder they have major problems with bots.
RuneScape 3 solved the majority of its bot problems many years ago. They don't need to divert many resources to it, and as stated in this video 80% of the team's work goes to OSRS.
Why the fuck would anyone waste time botting on rs3 lol
Eight ads, well technically nine with the stupid wallet thing

dont watch on mobile
I've had 2 step authenticator on, if they get access to your email, they can just deactivate it and still gain access. It was an old email that I don't use often.
I have a feeling these stats are lowballed or false. Can we really take Jagex's word as the truth?
bot owner detected
@adawbwa where did the "because i'm so smart" come from? I didnt even insinuate it.
If I'm not mistaken the last group of "corpbots" the user Pat & Pam have access to a Pmod Account. I've seen those names fishing sacred eel, chatted with one of them a bit before they started flexing that pmod account.
Couldn’t jagx just implement bots to fill in dead content? For real players?
F2p castlewars
The music is so fitting to the video i really enjoy those bot busting videos keep going man
Let's be real. The bots are ran by jagex
Holy shit bro. You really reacted to the last critical statements about your channel. In a good way, maybe even the best. Love your last content, the quality has like tripled!
So I can a get lms cape in f2p!! sweet omw
Seriously lol i hope a bunch of f2p ppl go ruin that bot farm
Yea... I got scammed for like 5 billion and jatex didn't even bother to look into it. The guy who did is is still out there. They refused to recover my account to do a rollback on it. I even exsplained what happened and how i could help getting the scammer. sadly no response.
Personally if you are going to name drop “jagex” thrown in some evidence to back up the contacts 👍🏼😅
@sirpugger any chance you can link the blog about the new anti-cheating possibly coming up in october?
someone make a bot that kills wine of zammy bots
The bots are doing exactly what you did. They farm points, purchase Carrallander teles, then trade to main accs. The main accs then go to the G.E and attempt to item trade the teles, even though the teles will never sell in G.E. I've had a couple level 102's trade me attempting this scam over the past week.
97k players online,
How many of them are legit
And out of those legit ones how many are the same person???
I dont think osrs has more than 25k unique players at any given time tbh
actually, the fact that jagex is responding gives me hope and makes me feel like resubbing
First
Damn son
this guy was first, all fakers go away
You were first.
Is there anything to be done about the lumbridge spinning bot farm? I've seen 100s of accounts with +70 crafting as their only skill above 1 running up and down to the bank.
Screw jagex... they banned my account when i hadnt played in month.. i tried to get it unbanned and they said they wouldnt because my account was macroing.
Ayeee that’s me at 3:50 I was wondering why this was happening
I see a lot of those Rune Armor / Adamant chest-plate players in the Hill Giant area between Barb Village and Varrock. Never knew why they wouldn’t use full Rune armor. Something fishy there.
You know. If you have to hire seven to replace one person. You know that one person was a literal God in their area.
I noticed the purple bots, which really sucks cause that was my favorite default outfit and now I wear armor everywhere so I dont get mistaken as a bot
I love how you incorporate your sponsor into the game and make those skits, yours are legit the only sponsor advertisements I don't skip.
to put in perspective this huge number here's another huge number...
This got me thinking so deepy about other issues i am facing in my life.. So incredibly done it is literally admirable
Great content.. On an entire different level
way back in the day on rs2 I used to tele other bots before they started turning aid off but when it was on, the program would accept it and bye bye they go to lumby. Eventually they would be back and i would cast it again.
Hmm the video ends really abruptly. Is that intended?
F2P LMS is not inactive. You can find a lot of the higher ranks playing on the competitive world. I myself am working up past 3k score and have seen a lot of legit players.
Why wouldn’t the alching bots just hide in the GE crowd...
Why wouldn’t they go in their POH and lock the portal lol
the wine of zammy bots been around for atleast 2 months, i was pking them about 2 months ago. seen a couple other pkers doing the same thing but they never talked to me and tried to pk me. keep up the content its interesting
Some bots get made to be sold to other players on websites. They bot the stats, give them a few weeks to see if they get banned then sell them off. That's the theory at least.
I found that bot farm on f2p by mistake one night. Ended up getting a lot of points from killing them but it took me a while to figure out they were hiding up in the buildings.
there's someone running a nightmare bot - check it out - australian worlds 5 accounts with void meele, 1 way mage switches, they all have 5k+ bandos kc, 500+ nm kc - all the alts are in identical gear - and the mains killing nightmare are too - CHECK IT OUT
Can you guys please also comment down below how many chicken nuggets you can eat?Appreciate it
no they say they remove 19k a day thats just a number they say they dont, even though bots ruin the game it makes jagex money when they play so why if 5k of the 19k pay 14$ for membership why would jagex ban them.... do you understand how much cash jagex will lose when they can have those 5k bots pay 14$ every month. and those are just the ones who buy with actual cash.
The irony is, it keeps sir pugger in the vids, and keeps jagex’s lights on with all the memberships
Lies
That ending was a bit abrupt lol. Went back after the ad cuz I thought I missed something
The video ended kinda abruptly. Just wanna check that it was supposed to end mid sentence at 10:43 or if he had more to say about the 111 CorpBots
