Various Trains pass through Sandling, Kent (Escape From Thanet Highlights)

Enhanced and edited footage from a home movie I shot in 2000 titled "Escape From Thanet". In this sequence, James Hall and myself (along with James` Ex) have travelled to the quiet railway station of Sandling, near Folkestone in Kent. After waiting AGES to see any kind of train, we were treated to Eurostars, Freight Trains and a few old Slam Door Trains. This Was shot back in the day, when "men were men and trains were REAL TRAINS, none of this namby pamby clean, automatic door, working toilet, comfy seat, next station is.. twaddle" (sorry came over all Inspector Grimm there lol). Editing is underway on Escape From Thanet 5 (trailer elsewhere on here), but is slow going lol. Sorry about the dodgy quality boys n gals. I no longer have the 8mm tape, and this was audio and visually enhanced from a VHS version and converted from 4:3 into 16:9 aspect image....... Hope you enjoy........

Got off at this station recently for a party - I live in Folkestone. Thank you for posting all these old videos! Seeing the South-East of Kent in those days makes me nostalgic.
