You are a genious of improvisation. Low cost and effectivnes. It looks sloppy and you may like it or not, but at the end it woks . This is what counts, well done. Thx for sharing.

You sir are brilliant! :) Your lathe is awesome; plenty of other applications with using that. The knobs look awesome, and all from a broom handle! Keep up the great work, I appreciate visiting often!

What happened to the miniature lathe? I'm sure if you still had the assembly somewhere you could just cut a square into the sides of the broomstick and have a plate for those. Still great machine.

I wondered if anyone would comment about that . Yes, I still have it, and you are right. However, I have had a number of situations where it was quicker to set up this rig and it takes less room, is disposable/recyclable and flexible as far as what size you are turning. The other lathe is better for miniature things where it is too small to use nails., but this one I tend to use for quick and variable things like this, and truing up pulleys that don't fit in the other lathe.( vid on that coming up.) for many jobs, this is simple but effective

Thanks a lot, your creativity is mind-blowing! Maybe you could help me with an idea to my task? :-) I am about to make a wooden chest in puppet size that shall look old and woren as old secret chest, with a magic Trissur, that has been in the ground for many decades, on the chest, I would like a wooden lock (that looks like a magic lock). The story is about some kids (dolls) that finds a map in a cellar in a old empty house and then follow the map (feel free to take my idea if you want:-)
