For the record, I live close enough to the tracks I can hear the train horn (and trolleys, and daily ambulances, fire trucks, police cars)…..it is literally part of urban living. If you don’t like the services provided then there are more rural places to live 🤷♂️

I was wondering about this before moving to San Diego. I basically live at the train station lol. My unit faces the opposite direction. So far, no issues. A buddy of mine works on that line as an engineer and was suspended for 1 year him and his conductor. He told me his company said that he didn't alert the car that illegally crossed the tracks. Well duh its a fucking quite zone. Eventually they both returned to work wit alot of backpay.
If San Diego is too expensive & too loud to live do everyone a favor, stop complaining & move away. If SANDAG don’t bring back the horn blowing trains, bells, & gates, more & more “stupid” people will die….
