It’s hard but for your son to see the light n a better way of living without drugs he has to do it on his own he has to hit proper rock bottom and not have in the back of his mind I’ll just ring mum she’ll help me and you will but you gotta take a step back n just let him implode until he gets it it’ll happen but as hard as it is mum you need to say no more n you’ll have your old son back within 5years trust me I’ve been that son and tough love is something we understand and will adapt

Thats it brother I lived in Melbourne as a white boy running in Asian gangs and in the end I smashed people, chop people and run drugs for them. One day i went f it all and left to W.A and I have a family now at 44 yrs old and I became a bonsai tree master. I lost everything when I was young my mum and dad died witch grew hate into me and joining a gang made me feel like I had a family again. It was all crap and I realised after 10 years and got out walked away. I so related to what you said cause it's how I think now and will till the end of my days. Could luck with your journey. I had to laugh when you did the Dandenong episode cause that jail house use went to I lived there for 6 months. Witch I commented on about a guy coming in with a shoot gun on us and we bashed him. I found a job stacking boxes in the supermarket, but you're often the oldest person in the room by 20yrs. I can't imagine how hard it must be for guys with a record, tats, no education/experience. Came from a streetlife as a child, in clink first at 13 years old. Lived a wild krazy life and managed in and out of jail to have 6 kids to a woman. That woman couldnt handle the kids and seemed not built for it. After a life of voilence drugs hospital jail..... i fineshed off a 4 your sentence at the age of 30 and decided to pull my head in and here i am now, 36 with everything we need single parent of 6 and im father now gave away the criminal life and your spot on span bro💯. When i took on my responsibilities and did the rightey by my fam..... everybody dissapeared nobody cared as i was of no use to anyone anymore in that lifestyle. Now that i lived that life the focus is keeping these kids on track and teach them thru my mistakes and learning. I understand my brother was a Newtown Erko boy he went through the same. From the homes to jail most of his young life was in jail and he would come out for a holiday then go back home. We got him away from there up to Qld and he got his life together but it's still a struggle for him. Hes institutionalised as well. He hasn't been back to jail since 2012. I'm proud of him.

100% true....back in the 90's the older boys who were using heroin always told me not to use drugs I didn't listen but they were right coz they been there and done it before us younger lads....all those older boys are all clean now and got families....and I'm 46 still trying to stay clean...

Grew up around a certain crowd did break ins, sold etc long time ago. In a bad town that would be considered big on meth everyones toxic. I left it all became a mental health worker and found my fiance had a baby. Had to room rent at one point had to stand against these ppl who are stuck for trying to sorround my new family with drugs and alcohol. They got my partner onto crack, I stuck with her got her out never let my child experience her mother being destroyed by ppl like that and such a brutal drug. I told them to use their brains and how they could do way more than what others assumed. They remembered me found my car and new home.. they destroyed it. I see you differently now (not that it matters). I wish there was a way to help some of these ppl but they do resent change.

I lost everything when I was young my mum and dad died witch grew hate into me and joining a gang made me feel like I had a family again. It was all crap and I realised after 10 years and got out walked away. I so related to what you said cause it's how I think now and will till the end of my days. Could luck with your journey. I had to laugh when you did the Dandenong episode cause that jail house use went to I lived there for 6 months. Witch I commented on about a guy coming in with a shoot gun on us and we bashed him. But your a good guy family is what I live for now.

Came from a streetlife as a child, in clink first at 13 years old. Lived a wild krazy life and managed in and out of jail to have 6 kids to a woman. That woman couldnt handle the kids and seemed not built for it. After a life of voilence drugs hospital jail..... i fineshed off a 4 your sentence at the age of 30 and decided to pull my head in and here i am now, 36 with everything we need single parent of 6 and im father now gave away the criminal life and your spot on span bro💯.
I dont have social media and tbh im bit of a wep and a fitness and health maniac. When i took on my responsibilities and did the rightey by my fam..... everybody dissapeared nobody cared as i was of no use to anyone anymore in that lifestyle.
I was also the same with all the skills just not the looks😂.
Could have had anything and threw it away. Now that i lived that life the focus is keeping these kids on track and teach them thru my mistakes and learning.

I understand my brother was a Newtown Erko boy he went through the same. From the homes to jail most of his young life was in jail and he would come out for a holiday then go back home. We got him away from there up to Qld and he got his life together but it's still a struggle for him. Hes institutionalised as well. He hasn't been back to jail since 2012. I'm proud of him.

Grew up around a certain crowd did break ins, sold etc long time ago. In a bad town that would be considered big on meth everyones toxic. I left it all became a mental health worker and found my fiance had a baby. Had to room rent at one point had to stand against these ppl who are stuck for trying to sorround my new family with drugs and alcohol. They got my partner onto crack, I stuck with her got her out never let my child experience her mother being destroyed by ppl like that and such a brutal drug. I told them to use their brains and how they could do way more than what others assumed.
They remembered me found my car and new home.. they destroyed it. I see you differently now (not that it matters). I wish there was a way to help some of these ppl but they do resent change.
