It's so true. Theres a huge toxic community in tiktok - alot of great musicians and poets and thinkers as well though - I think it's really about attracting the community you want to experience you know? They'll be everywhere if you look.

Just b4 watching this I was thinking that I should'nt waste so much time on Twitter, and then came to me that I would maybe be unaware of stuff happening etc. But you said it well, ignorance is bliss sometimes. I'm also lacking on my rosary prayer lately, and I blame social media 100%, it's insane the amount of time wasted.

Sadly, the distractions which you mention take so much away from our lives. Away from life we could be spending with our friends, with our family, with nature, or with our Creator. Your insert at the end is indeed most important, to take the twenty to thirty minutes a day in mindfulness or prayer, more if you can, less if it helps you begin the practice. At some point all prayer should mature into silence and stillness. It is a time to simply Be. A time to share God’s Ground. A wise man said, “You cannot hide in silence.”
    .
I am so encouraged to watch you share and be vulnerable with your audience, you likely have more impact than you will ever know. Stay True.

    What a blessed childhood!
I’m very glad I got to have that as well when growing up and I think it helped me become who I am. I would certainly like my potential future kids to have that as part of their childhood.

Very thought-provoking reflection, thank you! The "dictatorship of noise" that we're currently living through is certainly unprecedented in human history and definitely having deleterious effects on us. The modern soul cries out for silence, rest and peace.
