Poway Costco had some storage tubs last week at $12, so about comparable to the ones you saw on sale in Melbourne. Interesting video of my hometown, thank you. They didn’t have Costcos when I was growing up in Melbourne in the 70’s/80’s. WD-40 still has a corporate office not far from my office in Miramar. Gourmia I learned recently is indeed a popular air fryer available at Costco here in San Diego, as well as Target, Amazon etc. Cobra was founded in Melbourne by Tom Crow in 1973, but was acquired ultimately by Puma in 2010 and is based in Carlsbad, in the same geographical neighborhood as Callaway and Taylor. Not that far away, the San Marcos Costco has an indoor food area for some reason, but does require a card. The business Costco location off of Convoy is outdoors, as one may expect, but no membership card required to get a hot dog (still $1.59 with a free refillable drink, no Polish dogs anymore) or pizza etc. Great video, thank you again for sharing!
Yes, the original location is still on Morena. There's a guy in my condo here in Bangkok that exports coconut water. Costco is his largest client. He used to work for Sol Price and Price Club, back in the day. I wish we had a Costco in Bangkok.
I agree, but we're still a little spoiled in the US. Even with the conversion, we pay about 20% to 30% less. Probably our population size eats and drinks 500% more than Australia. Maybe it's a competition thing? We also have Sams Club and a dozen huge grocery stores within a mile. Just a guess, but we have a ton of people. Just in San Diego County, we must have 25 Costcos. And like I said in the video, you wait in a line of 20 to check out.
Not bad. I think they were air fried. It's not as healthy, but maybe better, deep-fried. I like them crispy. It's good to see a Costco. Big part of my San Diego routine.
Yes, but you get two cards per membership. Your partner or buddy can also get a card. In the US anyhow, you can save that member fee pretty fast. When a set of tires is on sale, you might save $100 over the tire shop sale price, etc.. The problem is, so many great deals, you spend $200 every time you go
I just visited Melbourne. I didn't find anything cheap in Melbourne. But they still had the $5 us chicken. And wine tasting. I'd sign up, just for that

Thanks for watching. I'm sitting in Bangkok as I write. I really wish we had a Costco here. I love the place. Great deals
It's always fun to see what's different around the world!
I agree. I love living in Thailand, but a Costco would be nice.

When you back in bkk and out and about 😊
I have a video flying back to BKK tomorrow. I'm backing running around Bangkok already. Good to be back
Love Costco
I wish we had one in BKK
They are Building a Super Costco near Fresno California which will be the BIGGEST Costco in USA.
That will be something to see. A few of the ones in San Diego are huge.
The current Australian dollar is about $0.68 U.S. That makes those prices look a little better.

Sorry. That was over a year ago. Just passing through Australia. I live, in Bangkok. I did see iPad. The store was very close to Marvel Stadium
@@EagerExpat thank you so much appreciate it🥰 great video as always!
There's a Costco near me, but I never went in. So you can't just shop there without buying a membership?

This costco will close down when the new one in Ardeer opens 24/25

5:35 drinking is expensive there…
I agree. It cost a bit more than Thailand
So is smoking.
@tw25rw Glad I never started. Those smokes have really got expensive. Same for the green stuff.
@@EagerExpat me too. One of the few things I got right in life.
$1.50 USD === $2.28 AUD
$1.99 AUD === $1.31 USD
hot dogs are still $1.50
Thats good to here! Course I was spending US bucks. Ha ha. Still, good to see Costco after a few years
