iPhone XS more like iPhone 'EXCESS' amiright joke is definitely just as funny as it was 4 years ago. Anywho, who's still using the XS right now? How's it going for you?
I’ve had my XS for about a year now, 90% battery life, and to be honest I don’t see any need to upgrade, yeah battery life isn’t the greatest, but works for me. It’s still a fast phone, will receive upgrades for a while, and camera is good enough for me since I don’t take many pictures. Also I love the design of it, I don’t care for the square camera bump, but my next phone will probably be a 14 or 15 in a year or two.
@@mirzadaniel93 I’ve had one for around three years and yes it’s still fast and responsive. I have 86% battery remaining and can get 4 hours out of it in screen on time. If you can get a good deal on it yes it’s worth getting, I’d look for a max model though purely because of the poor battery life on the smaller xs. The phone will probably continue to get updates for the next three years purely because of the XR’s success and the normal iPad having an A12 processor for so long.
I actually use a XS since about 6 months after launch and it’s been holding up so incredibly well. Currently running at 78% battery health; it can die relatively quickly if I use it heavily, but on a normal day I can go a whole day no sweat. 3D Touch is super convenient, the A12 Bionic is still a power house, and the camera still look really good that honestly is so hard to really justify upgrading right now without thinking that I can still get probably 3 more years out of this phone and still be satisfied with it.
I would recommend a battery replacement tho. A lot of problems can occor when your battery Health drops below 80%. Sometimes it cant support peak battery performance anymore, causing your phone to randomly shut down. With a simple $69 Apple replacement, you wil have a new battery (100% health offcourse) and you will be able to use it for 3 more years, as right now even the A9 chip gets software supports
You can get the battery replaced out of warranty for $70 from Apple to go back to 100% battery health if you don't feel like you need to upgrade to a newer model of you don't have monthly AppleCare+ or AppleCare+ with Theft & Loss
I have a XS myself, and the only reasons I feel like I need an upgrade are the battery life and the 64gb of storage that I got stuck with since my carrier only had 64 and 512. Still performs well though
I got the 512gb and man, 4 years and still rocking like it was just released yesterday a very solid phone I must say. I don’t see getting an upgrade just yet. All my apps are still running smooth without lag. 💪
I just got a XS Max at least 2 weeks ago and it works flawlessly, cameras are still good, and the screen is gorgeous. But the battery life is just mediocre.
Basically my experience with the phone in a nutshell! And honestly, considering how little of the time most don’t actually have access to a charger, I’d say it’s a decent trade off.
Man I’m glad you brought that up. Every time I type on my 13 mini I miss the ability to press anywhere on the keyboard and drag the curser. That was one thing I used every single day.
Yea it’s one of those small things that you don’t need, but it was just so nice to have with 3D Touch. Space bar works fine and I’m used to it now, but I really do miss little touches like that
I had the XS from launch until last Fall when I upgraded to a 13. The only real issue with the XS was that the battery life was mediocre and that it couldn't use the new 5G bands. I still have it as a backup phone.
The battery can be different from person to person. It’s about when you charge and how you use things on it. For example, don’t charge at higher than 20% if not needed, or don’t put low battery mode on often, it will save your battery for that one time but wont every time u use it.
Xs Max owner here, been daily driving it since it came out, I haven’t upgraded because I just felt nothing really changed on the newer iPhones, battery life is not great, my iPhone battery is currently at 81% and it’s not slow at all but I do notice frame drops when I close an app and scroll side ways to open another one, I might upgrade this year, but yeah still using the Xs Max in 2022
@@MiguelRPD I’ve been thinking about it but then I would loose the seal that protects the phone from getting water inside it, unless it comes with one then I would replace the battery myself, I changed the battery on my iPhone SE first gen, but I’m more scared on the XS
I actually just bought an iPhone XS new off ebay. I was considering replacing my 13 mini because I liked the XS design so much and wanted a larger screen. I just think iPhones have gotten so chunky these days it's getting ridiculous. Having said that the screen on the XS has a really odd issue when the brightness is turned all the way down. Gray seems to turn brown and everything gets washed out. I bought another one and it has the same issue. Other than that the screen just has an odd color tint to it. The deal breaker might be night mode for me though. The camera is kind of useless in low light but I have to say night mode tends to artificially boost lighting in a lot of shots so the XS sometimes has a more realistic look in low light
I still have my xs iPhone and recently had battery replacement. It works as if it were brand new. My wife has the iPhone 13 and my phone seems to catch better photos than hers. Although I am considering grabbing the iPhone 15 in the future because I feel it’ll be revolutionary.
I had my XS Max for 3.5 years and the battery finally gave out. Got it replaced at Apple, and they ended up giving me a new XS Max after internal issues they found. Zero complaints! Love seeing my original purchases getting more value in today's iPhone comparisons.
@@Fvr3s it floated in the low 80’s and after a high use day it just shut off. After i turned it on the battery health just told me to replace. Apple will change at 80 or below i believe.
It sounds crazy but I love the design of the XS series. I know it’s damn near the same as the iPhone X but there was so,etching about the XS series specifically that really caught me eye. I remember rushing to the apple store before going into work to pick mine up. I was a good 45 minutes late but at the time I didn’t care 😂😂 I just wanted my XS
If ur still using the xs or max just keep using as it is. No problem. But for those wanting to jump and looking around the second hand market. It’s better to go for the 11 pro or max. The leap from camera to battery is so so much better.
Upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an Amazon Renewed XS (with a 1 year guarantee) in February. Looks so good in my Rhinoshield Crashguard with my Popsocket. Would definitely recommend.
Snatched up a regular 512gb XS for pretty cheap at the start of the year (somehow still on iOS 14!), and I love it so far. As for battery, I get around 6? 7 hours of SOT, compared to just around 2-3 on my previous 1st gen SE - both phones have new batteries, but I’m also not that much of a power user. 3D touch is super nice, same with the cameras, haptics, everything else. I kinda wish I waited a little longer and got either an 11 pro (wide angle and even better battery) or 12 mini (because even my “small” version is too big), but both were too expensive at the time. Didn’t like the size of the XR either. Guess I’ll see how well this phone serves me for the rest of the year.
where did you make your purchase? I am considering buying the 11 pro max at a retailer, because I'm wary of the 2nd hand market, but would like a slightly better price
@@B727X SOT is Screen On Time, not everyone is a nerd but not everyone is retarded either and they can easily search up terms they don't understand on google. How about you stop being mentally challenged next time and do as I said instead?
This video proved to be great advice in my situation. I was a 2020 iPhone SE user looking to upgrade to an iPhone with a larger screen. Then, I happened to stumble upon this video. It convinced me to find a good iPhone XS Max. Ultimately, I found a brand new one on eBay (perfect screen, 100% battery health, etc.) for $394.99 with a charger and cable. Additionally, I also got a brand new Mophie wireless battery case off eBay for $6.75. So...for just a hair over $400...I got a tremendous "upgrade" despite the fact that the XS Max is two years older than my previous 2020 iPhone SE. The screen is bigger, it has three times more processor cores, more storage (went from 128gb to 256gb), longer lasting battery, better camera...it is superior in every possible way. Ohh yeah, and it still has 3D touch...a cherished feature that I missed terribly on the 2020 iPhone SE. So, if you're a 2020 iPhone SE user who's looking for a worthwhile and affordable upgrade option, then I highly recommend finding a good XS/XS Max . As the cherry on top, it's fantastic that accessories like the Mophie wireless battery case can still be found brand new on eBay for such a cheap price!!!
I have a 512gb one for over 3 years now and I have over 13k pictures on it and it’s still only half full! Battery is 84% for over a year! Still work like a charm!
Traded up from a Blackberry Z10 in 2019 to iPhone Xs... Xs is exceptional device, battery has just dropped to 87% & based on this review... time for a new battery. Great review, thanks Josh!
Still using my iPhone XS Max and everything you summed up in your video is accurate! My battery is at 83% and I’ve never replaced it , keep in mind that I bought it on launch day. I am going to upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB soon. Can’t wait 🙂
@@mugetsutv5784have an XS Max and it's still flawless. Sure, the 14 Pro max is nice and battery life will be better but it's not gonna do anything the XS Max can't do in terms of how we use our phones. Personally I think the dynamic island is stupid as hell it sits so low on the screen and is gigantic! Very intrusive. A hole punch would have been a dream come true. And let's not forget the massive weight to the tune of 240 grams and the flat sides and overall thickness are all very bad for ergonomics--one-handed use is out of the question. Even the 11 Pro Max is approaching uncomfortable weight territory at 226 grams. The XS Max is a feather (208 grams) compared to the newer Max phones and is the most comfortable max size iPhone to date. Truly the last of its kind. Just some things to consider.
@@cht322 honestly I appreciate you reaching out to me and explaining a bit about the iPhone 14 pro max. I wanted to buy it at launch but since I’m in Europe it costs so so much! For the 14 pro max 512 GB it’s like 1800 close to 1900 euros so I didn’t buy it. I’m still rocking my Xs Max and I love it , sure the Xs Max is 5 years old but it’s still a great phone. I’m not sure but I think I’m going to wait for the 15 pro max and see if there will be changes. Of course there will be USB C but for now I’m going to wait and see what the 15 pro max will look like. Also do you own a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air ? I’d like to know more about the two so I can get a laptop.
I have a iPhone XS Max I got it almost a year ago I used to have the IPhone 8 and I absolutely love it and the size is perfect and it doesn’t look much different from the new ones
I’m still using my iPhone XS I got it new and it still works great battery health at 91 percent running on iOS 14.8.1 no issues with battery drain I’m glad I didn’t update to iOS 15 I do most everything on my IPad so my XS gets me through a full day on a battery charge still I have no reason to upgrade my iPhone yet but probably will get the iPhone 14 pro when it’s gets released
Only upgrade in cameras i've noticed between my 11PM and my XSM is that the 11 has a far better night mode. Anything else doesn't really matter, plus, after using both i can say with confidence the XS is definitely more durable too.
@@TheSavage3.6 Interesting. Least from comparisons I’ve seen, in some instances the iPhone 11 has much better HDR, but not a massive upgrade over the XS. Along with the night mode though, I do really appreciate the addition of the ultra-wide camera. Wish it was better quality, but good enough most of the time. Looking forward to likely upgrading to an iPhone 15 Pro in 2023 though! Still finding the camera and performance on the 11 to be more than good enough.
@@cadenchurchill4296 Completely agree with you. I do love the UW camera on the 11 as it's helpful and very useful in getting some great shots! And i can't wait for the 15PM either :-)
@@TheSavage3.6 Hope it’s a good upgrade over the 14 Pro! I love what Apple did with the cameras on the 13 Pro, but given how well my 11 is running and the fact I bought a new iPad Pro and MacBook Air last year I want to save my money 😂
I’d much rather have an Xs than the regular 11 simply because the screen is much much better and the bezels are significantly smaller, also the design is more premium.
I just brought a iPhone XS MAX 256GB Gold at 11th of November and so far so good , since this phone launch I really like the gold colour I really happy to have this phone , I don't care about he is a 4 years old phone and can't upgrade newer IOS system . I'm happy to have it
I’m still rocking the XS Max but I’ll probably downsize to a 14 Pro when it comes out. No big design changes + great optimisation makes it viable and still makes it modern. It would take an obvious change (e.g. the notch being reworked) to make me feel like it’d be worth buying a new phone.
Still using the Xs in september of 2022, gotta say it is still very nice and smooth, display still looks great, camera is fantastic.. the only real issue i have is the batterylife, which seems to go down quickly with this phone. other than that and some charging port issues, this phone still holds up great for me. cheers
Gold iPhone XS Max since October 2018, 1700 charge cycles, 82% capacity, blown earpiece speaker and loudspeaker starting to go too. Everything original. Probably getting the 14 pro max(if that’s what it’s even going to be called)
I recently upgraded from the iPhone XS to the iPhone 13 Pro. And I love the new phone! My old iPhone was having a lot of battery and performance issues, even overheating whenever I used Maps in my car. So it was definitely time to upgrade when I did lol
My first iphone was the iphone 6 in 2018 which was a good phone all the way into 2021 . In 2021 i got the iphone 10s and I had it for over a year and it still feels new . I may just keep the phone for another year or two i dont see why I should upgrade
I think it’s one of the best iPhones to buy right now, some new features (Depth effect, picture drag and drop, spatial audio and more) require at least the XS, also 3D Touch is very nice
My favorite iPhone to date, aside from the 4 (which is just a classic and was my first iPhone) and now the 14 Pro. The XS for me was the perfect size and when paired with the Smart Battery Case, battery life was simply a non-issue. Could use the XS with one hand, has a zoom lens, Face ID, 3D Touch, OLED screen, etc. The Smart Battery Case was easy to hold, still fit easily in a pocket, could wirelessly charge, worked with headphones and CarPlay, and overall was just amazing. I really hope Apple would bring back the size of the XS and leave the plus/max options for those that like it.
I got the XS 256GB. I am still deciding on getting the 13 mini or regular 13. I may just keep the XS and get an IPAD. I just like having a backup phone on my carrier. Nothing happened in the past two years but you never know. I had a bad experience buying a used Iphone 6 from a coworker. So I only buy iphones new.
@@91Tech this was the last S iPhone, after that, Apple just started releasing the same design every year but with a different number, so they can sell it to consumers all over again.
I am still using xs max as my daily driver and also using high end game and it is still working perfectly fine. The processor is still smooth. Never had lag in my 4 years of use. Battery is still 88%.
I had Iphone X for about 1 year, after that i buy a XS and I fell the A12 is more faster, camera is much better and the battery is quite same, trust me, is worth to pay little more for XS!
I have had an iPhone 7 Plus for at least 4 years and the battery is still at 100% health. I know it’s not just saying that too because I have never had a problem with my phone dying and it always will last me the whole day.
The XS was the first iPhone with a 512GB option. I found an XS Max 512GB for a good price. It feels massive compared to the 64 and 128GB common on even much newer phones.
8:37 I hate the 13 Pro’s processing. It makes the photos look desaturated, contrasty and over-sharpened. The XS didn’t have this issue because it didn’t have the useless “Deep Fusion”.
I have a Xs and I’m planning on keeping it for another year or two. The build quality is very nice. I once dropped it while cycling and I rode over it with my back tire and it was completely fine! It did have a case, but it isn’t a beefy one so it didn’t give a lot of support (if any), it just avoided scratches
I Just switched from a Samsung S10 to an iPhone Xs I know it's not an upgrade but I just always wanted to switch to apple BC of how secure they are and how they don't collect your information and in my opinion both apple software and the beautiful hardware (not as good as Samsung tho) is pretty good when my dad gave me it to try it and it's still going hard
Honestly the XS is not a bad iPhone! It's a great device even nowadays on any iOS version! It also has 3D Touch which is a must have feature for me and many other people. The XS is definitely one of the better gesture iPhone out there.
I bought an used XS a couple of days ago for ~250€. Minor scratches here an there but overall it is in really great conditions for a 4 years old phone. With a new glas screenprotector the scratches are not visible at all and the display has no burn in. The only thing i have to change is the battery. The battery has only 84% batteryhealth but it is not that big of a deal for me. The XS is only my backup device. The only thing what chocked me is the performance. It is insane how fast and fresh this old thing feels. When i compared it to my old Huawei P10 it is a night and day difference. The P10 feels old and sluggish compared to the XS.
After a month of the 10s switching from an android I am so happy with my selection as this phone was 230 on Amazon with the 64gb model. The last of 3D Touch and classy design still looks so good. 😊 looking forward to finishing high school with this beauty as a sophomore ❤. The battery life is ehh with this phone as 78% is ok. Being a student I barely use it in school but I have a charger around. Another big thing was wireless charging as my old Motorolas didn’t have it and the oled display is still very pretty . Highly recommend this phone to students and anyone who don’t need all the perks of the newest one but still feel like they aren’t missing out on anything P.S. 91 tech mentioned about random shut offs when the battery health is under 80%. Personally I have never experienced that and it usually powers off at 1%.
Gotta say, apple replacing batteries for $70 out of warranty is such a good deal especially because in most cases they do it same day. Plenty of their pricing is questionable at best, but my fiancé and I both got our batteries replaced and it was such a breeze. But yeah, my XS battery when I had the phone was… not great. And while my 12 Pro battery isn’t incredible it’s definitely a step up. And as much as I love the newer design language, something about the rounded gold XS with the pill shaped camera… *chefs kiss*
Without the notch, you don’t know it’s an iPhone. I just sold my 256GB XS Max and getting iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB today. I just like the big screen and curb edges.
I’ve got one for more than a year now, and I am pretty amazed about how good it is and lasts. I have dropped it accidentally in water multiple times, but I don’t see any damage! It can scratch a little but it’s still better than the newer (in my opinion). I don’t see any problem which makes me wanna upgrade, so it’s great! The only reason I’m saving up for another, is because of my storage. It might take a lot storage at 600 pictures and that’s why I’m upgrading from 64 to 128 so yeah! I was so excited when I updated from a 6S + to a Xs so yeah!
i recently upgraded from a a21 to a xs and i have to say it was a incredible idea, maybe its just the chnage from android to iphone but the phone is incredible and i love it, the battery isnt the best but very decent
I currently use an iphone se 2020 but I recently tried a friend’s xr for a few days. Now I’m in love with the swipe gestures. I’m now considering the xs as the iphone 11 is out of my budget at the moment. Is the camera quality of the se 2020 better than the XS as I don’t want to loose picture quality
The XS is still a decent phone and would be good for those looking to get into the Apple ecosystem on a budget. Just keep in mind the points mentioned about the battery and the cameras.
I use a iPhone XS on iOS 14.4 with 90% health, it's the newest phone I've ever had. Battery is good enough since I'm a light user and it runs flawlessly for me.
I got mine a few months ago and I love it the battery is only at 80% but it’s still not bad planning on getting a new one but I love the size and love that it looks like the new ones
I have a cousin that has an XS And it was bought from my older cousin That I bought my 6s from and I'm going to try Getting it as mine upgrade when she upgrades
I previously downloaded 16.1 beta and now I want to go back to normal public updates How to do it? please reply and my face id stopped working after 15.7 update
I really like the older notch on the X/XS/11/12 more than the current notch on the 13. It was wider and felt less intrusive. The newer notch looks a lot like all those other ugly Android notches. But all in all I don't really have a a big issue with either notch. As long as I can have a nice OLED in my pocket I'm sold.
I‘m using an XS for 2,5years now and I still see no need for an upgrade. The phone is running on 79% battery capacity which is obviously not the best but still enough to get me through the day. The XS takes good pictures, is still very quick in using and there aren‘t any problems at all. Maybe I‘ll upgrade to an 13 Pro or 12 Pro in half a year or so because of battery. But at this moment there is no need to do so.
That is a good phone for a four year old device. However, I do not keep an iPhone that long. Are usually upgrade two or three years from the previous upgrade. However, the iPad Pro 2018 has the same chipset. Do you think the iPad Pro third edition will continue receiving iPadOS updates past 2022? If not, I will definitely start saving money for a replacement iPad Pro. I am currently using an iPhone 12. It is running flawlessly. I really like Face ID. I really liked using my Apple Watch unlock my phone when I had to wear a face covering. That was an awesome feature Apple figured out.
iPad Pro 2018 will likely get updates through 2024 would be my guess- so around iOS 17-18 ish? Hard to say right now, but could even go longer knowing Apple.
I need an opinion, I had the xs the day it came out, but went back to the 6 s. Now i have the 12 mini. is it worth going back to XS? Since the design is soo attractive.
A rocked the iphone xs for three years and I love that phone. The only reason why I upgraded is that my logic board started to act up and lost touch, capability, I upgraded to the 13 promax three months ago
I have an iPhone XS Max gold got it about a year ago and I absolutely love it. It has 80% health left but it’s good enough for me. I plan on getting a new battery don’t see I need to upgrade yet.
Not my favourite model as it didn’t bring almost nothing new to the table compared to the X. Though the standout was the Max model if someone needed a bigger screen.
One thing you could do with 3D Touch that you cannot with modern iPhones, press into the delete key. It makes it double its deleting speed, and was one of my favorite power tools when the automatic text selection wasn't working (address bar, Etc.) so I really miss that feature. I'd buy a 512 GB XS and be happy with that, although I can't complain about my 512 GB 13 mini. The XS and 11 Pros are the largest iPhones I will buy. I don't like the wide squat design of the XR and later had, and the SE's lack of power button TouchID, full-screen design, lack of 512 GB option, and non-balanced speakers, make it a non-buy for me. Not to mention, the 13 mini has a larger battery than the SE, and the OLED display saves power for me, yet gets brighter for others when needed makes it a somewhat better product. If we had the 13 mini, with Power button TouchID as well as FaceID, I'd be 100% happy, and would stick with that particular handset until it dies.
I just ordered one, as I need an iPhone for testing iOS apps at work. It won't be my main phone but after some research, it seemed like the best option for needs. It's still being updated (great) and runs well enough for me.
What about sound. Is it up to par with the 8 plus? That’s the phone I am leaving. I just ordered an open box 10 XS Max . I watch a lot of video and sound without headphones is important to me.
I had an iPhone XS since the month it came out and I got it with my birthday money And I injoy it a lot but like you mentioned it’s had battery Health issues where it was 60 % of its capacity and I was a little cheap so I bought the 64 GB model which is ok depending on the person Used like a casual owner but I’m a gamer so yeah I run into storage issues and also I’ve should’ve got the max model because I have big hands so I made a lot of typos so last Christmas 2021 I upgraded to the iPhone 13 pro max for its size and with more Storage and it made A big difference I’m loving the new phone
I have an 8+ and had planned to continue using it for the time being. I was just offered a free (I pay shipping) XS Max. I believe it's the 256gb version. The way I see it, it has to be better than my 8+, and even if the battery isn't great, I'm assuming it's as good as my 8+. Worse case scenario, maybe I can trade both the 8+ and the XS max down the road for something a bit newer. Either way, I feel lucky to have an upgraded phone coming to me even if it's 4 years old. Cheers!

Yea it’s one of those small things that you don’t need, but it was just so nice to have with 3D Touch. Space bar works fine and I’m used to it now, but I really do miss little touches like that
I use it on my 13. So the feature still exists on the 13 mini obviously
Wait they removed that?
I had the XS from launch until last Fall when I upgraded to a 13. The only real issue with the XS was that the battery life was mediocre and that it couldn't use the new 5G bands. I still have it as a backup phone.
Bro same lol
how long did it last usually
The battery can be different from person to person. It’s about when you charge and how you use things on it. For example, don’t charge at higher than 20% if not needed, or don’t put low battery mode on often, it will save your battery for that one time but wont every time u use it.
Xs Max owner here, been daily driving it since it came out, I haven’t upgraded because I just felt nothing really changed on the newer iPhones, battery life is not great, my iPhone battery is currently at 81% and it’s not slow at all but I do notice frame drops when I close an app and scroll side ways to open another one, I might upgrade this year, but yeah still using the Xs Max in 2022
Why not use ifixit guides and change that Battey? Shouldn't be too hard.
@@MiguelRPD I’ve been thinking about it but then I would loose the seal that protects the phone from getting water inside it, unless it comes with one then I would replace the battery myself, I changed the battery on my iPhone SE first gen, but I’m more scared on the XS
Also been using my XS Max and my battery is at 89%! No slow down either. I’m thinking about upgrading this year bc of the camera.
I have the Max version and It is definitely worth it. Not slow and does everything I need.

I had my XS Max for 3.5 years and the battery finally gave out. Got it replaced at Apple, and they ended up giving me a new XS Max after internal issues they found. Zero complaints! Love seeing my original purchases getting more value in today's iPhone comparisons.
What battery health percentage did the iphone give up at!

Ah the first world problems… 😂
I’ve been known to call out to work on New Phone Day. Lol.
If ur still using the xs or max just keep using as it is. No problem. But for those wanting to jump and looking around the second hand market. It’s better to go for the 11 pro or max. The leap from camera to battery is so so much better.
I recently upgraded from my iPhone xs for an S20 and gotta say I love the phone
Upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an Amazon Renewed XS (with a 1 year guarantee) in February. Looks so good in my Rhinoshield Crashguard with my Popsocket. Would definitely recommend.
Had my XS Max since launch, battery at 84% and still does the job. Phones nowadays last a lot longer than phones from a couple years ago
Have a new Apple battery put in ($69). Had my XS since launch too and will be receiving a new battery in a couple days.

I love my iPhone XS, don’t feel the need to upgrade.. at least not right now lol still works great!
I just got the 14 Pro last month and it’s worth it. Even going from the 12, it feels like a really good upgrade

And let's not forget the massive weight to the tune of 240 grams and the flat sides and overall thickness are all very bad for ergonomics--one-handed use is out of the question. Even the 11 Pro Max is approaching uncomfortable weight territory at 226 grams. The XS Max is a feather (208 grams) compared to the newer Max phones and is the most comfortable max size
iPhone to date. Truly the last of its kind.
Just some things to consider.
@@cht322 honestly I appreciate you reaching out to me and explaining a bit about the iPhone 14 pro max. I wanted to buy it at launch but since I’m in Europe it costs so so much! I’m not sure but I think I’m going to wait for the 15 pro max and see if there will be changes. Of course there will be USB C but for now I’m going to wait and see what the 15 pro max will look like.

I do most everything on my IPad so my XS gets me through a full day on a battery charge still
I have no reason to upgrade my iPhone yet but probably will get the iPhone 14 pro when it’s gets released
The iPhone 11/11 Pros were such a huge upgrade in cameras. Definitely wouldn’t want an iPhone older than my 11.

I’d much rather have an Xs than the regular 11 simply because the screen is much much better and the bezels are significantly smaller, also the design is more premium.

I’m still rocking the XS Max but I’ll probably downsize to a 14 Pro when it comes out. No big design changes + great optimisation makes it viable and still makes it modern. It would take an obvious change (e.g. the notch being reworked) to make me feel like it’d be worth buying a new phone.
how do you feel about the dynamic island?
Still using the Xs in september of 2022, gotta say it is still very nice and smooth, display still looks great, camera is fantastic.. the only real issue i have is the batterylife, which seems to go down quickly with this phone. other than that and some charging port issues, this phone still holds up great for me. cheers

Highly recommend this phone to students and anyone who don’t need all the perks of the newest one but still feel like they aren’t missing out on anything

I‘m using an XS for 2,5years now and I still see no need for an upgrade.

Not my favourite model as it didn’t bring almost nothing new to the table compared to the X. Though the standout was the Max model if someone needed a bigger screen.
The e-sim may be an important feature for many people
One thing you could do with 3D Touch that you cannot with modern iPhones, press into the delete key.
Any time I see one I still think they are the new phone I forget they are almost 4 years old definitely one of my favorite iPhones

Cheers!
