ASMIH-PHLIL Regional Symposium 2022-Inaugural session

Two Feed the Future, USAID, and ADMI, University of Illinois, and Kansas State University sponsored projects, namely Appropriate Scale Mechanization Innovation Hub (ASMIH) and Post-Harvest Loss Reduction Innovation Lab (PHLIL) organized jointly an International Symposium-2022 dated November 9-10, 2022. The theme of the symposium is “Agricultural Transformation: Role of Appropriate Scale Mechanization and Postharvest Loss Reduction Innovations”. The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Sustainable Intensification (SIIL) and Post-Harvest Loss Reduction Innovation Lab (PHLIL) based in the Kansas State University, USA; Appropriate Scale Mechanization Consortium (ASMC) and ADM Institute for the Prevention of Post-Harvest Loss based in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, and Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Bangladesh have partnered to host the event.
In the inaugural session, honorable minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP, Ministry of Education, Govt. of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh was the Chief Guest. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Lutful Hassan, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh was the Chief Patron. Professor Dr. B.K. Bala, Chair, Engagement Advisory Committee, PHLIL- Bangladesh and Former Faculty, Department of Farm Power and Machinery, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh was the Inaugural Session Chair.
And the Special Guests of this inaugural session were,
