~Fogsoul (in the foreground, brown-ish tom with piercing blue eyes and two long scars on his back; LakeTribe's chief, later changes his name to Fogstar)
~Maggotshore (in the foreground; brown she-cat with orange eyes)
~Bearleap (in the background; huge brown tom with brown eyes)
~Nightsky (in the background; black tom with orange markings and green eyes)
~Wagtailstream (in the background; white she-cat with darker markings and blue eyes; LakeTribe's shaman)

~Tulipstalk (in the background; calico she-cat with green eyes; LakeTribe's prime commander)

Okay so now, for all of you interested in the details of the story I tried to show in this PMV, here's a recap:
As Fogsoul became the next leader of LakeTribe, his mental sickness was getting worse and worse. He was having a hard time controlling his emotions and actions, often bursting into a rage for a mere reason. The only thing that was able to keep him calm was his mate - Honeyleaf. She was always supportive of him and was trying her best to stop him from doing something he would regret later. She was also carrying his kits, which made her even more important to Fogsoul.
Honeyleaf trusted him, that he would never hurt her, which is why she was never afraid of standing up to him to defend her tribemates. But one time Fogsoul had crossed the line. As his sickness was getting worse and worse and the voices in his head grew stronger, he started to believe the Tribes were in great danger. To prevent it from happening, he wanted to unite the Tribes and take control of all of them along with changing their beliefs (up to this time the Tribes believed in The Great Spirits that were taking care of the ones who passed away). He shared his worries and ideas with Honeyleaf but she didn't agree with him, scared of what he was becoming. And that made him furious. The voices became stronger again and he couldn't resist himself this time. He tried to hurt Honeyleaf but stopped himself at the last moment. But it was enough and Honeyleaf couldn't forgive him anymore.
As his mate left him, Fogsoul had nothing left to prevent him from executing his plans. The sickness got the better of him.
Not long after Honeyleaf ran away to hide in ForestTribe, she gave birth to Nettle and Nightingale, to whom she told their father died before they were born. But Nettle, after becoming Nettlepaw, found out the truth and was easily manipulated by Fogsoul. Nettlepaw became Fogsoul's spy in the ForestTribe to make it easier for him to take over. Eventually, they succeeded, Fogsoul became the leader of all three Tribes combined into one - The Tribe of Starry Night and renamed himself Fogstar. That night he also appointed Nettlepaw as Nettlesong - his successor.
But Nettlesong over time started to notice how wrong her father, and therefore she, was, by doing all those things to the Tribes. She was torn but she knew it was already too late to stop Fogstar.
One night, Fogstar asked Honeyleaf to go out with him. She didn't have much choice but she was also hoping that he might've changed and he wanted to apologize for everything. She wasn't entirely wrong but Fogstar, being in that worrying state, was unpredictable. In a whirl of emotions, he killed Honeyleaf, the only cat he ever cared for so much. And even though he was so blinded by his illness, he couldn't stop the racking guilt which was beginning to maul him from the inside.

I love so much that Fogsoul isn’t demonized because of his mental illness. With the signification of this black substance shrouding his judgement being the voices and him losing himself. He didn’t ask to be mentally ill, or have the voices that force him to attack those he loved and making him believe it’s best that he lead the tribes. Fogsoul I can be empathetic towards and that is incredible to have in a character

Okay okay okay. . maybe my last comment. Dude never stop doing art. Never. Never stop. The shading, the characters, the backgrounds, the angles, the foreshadowing, is just MWAH 🤌. I love how you didn't demonize FogSoul and you actually were able to display his mental illness as like a black substance that his clouding his mind like a plague instead of him just being a bad person. Love this video so so so much

I’m SO late but this is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the backgrounds and the way you do eyes! Honeyfrost is so relatable for me, too, since I’ve gone through something similar with a friend, who also has severe mental health issues similar to Fogsoul. I love how neither one is seen as a bad character. Yes, what Fogsoul did was wrong, but no one who is mentally ill likes being mentally ill. Great job on this beautiful piece of work!!🩵

AGAHSHHZHZX ANIMATION WITH OLEANDER?? YES
The black inky line that seeps out and holds him firm made me think there was like a demon or something lol, I now know after looking into your characters that it's supposed to represent his mental illness and though personally I don't think it's a very fitting way to allude to mental illness it does help you know he's not in control of himself during those moments.
Watching this again.. DUDEEE I just noticed how when he turns away from her after she was walking away there was blood on his lips that is like foreshadowing.
I'm invested.

please answer, what happened to the son of Honeyleaf?? It's eerily interesting how he showed himself in this story... Or did he die at a young age?
He died after the whole mess with Fogsoul and after his mother passed - he was actually killed by a wolf later in the story, though still at a rather young age!
